Wallets using for bounty and airdrop is not advisable to be used in securing crypto funds because there are alot of scam project that are after getting people details and after getting some useful information about the wallet, hacking it will be very simple.

This is for those who use wallets with cheap transaction fee, such as ethereum based wallets.
There are some who cannot yet afford to purchase a hardware wallet. On that note, i have a suggestion on how your wallet can be safe from hackers. I have always noticed wallets that get easily hacked are those that are subject to public view.
Try as much as possible to have a separate cold wallet address that you do not copy and paste the private key, and neither do you share the address with anyone. You can use it to store most of your valuable coins.
Even if you want to transfer any coin or token to an address belonging to another person, first transfer it to your public wallet before sending it out.
lots of security options available for every person to handle their wallet to be more secured and safely but in sometimes we can not sure about what is going on so probably our wallet is also hack by someone but what we can do is to make the possible ways of security available given from the side of the wallet

First of all, you need to purchase an original offline wallet, which you need to use only to store all your assets.  In order to transfer cryptocurrency to exchanges or other cryptocurrency users, it is necessary to use transit wallets to protect yourself and at the same time only use old and original links to the resources that you visit.
Not hard to protect the private key on offline wallets. Myetherwallet offers a  offline version of the Ethereum wallet which trader can spend the amount with the few single clicks. Buying from authorized resellers will be mire appropriate considering the certificate of the security.

The Etherum DApp which our project's Developers Team has created may be a good fit for personal "hot wallets". That is, for daily use on the Internet.

I didn't want to put too much into the reply here, but more details can be found in a separate thread:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/kovritaio-dapp-secure-user-friendly-metamask-replacement-for-eth-wallet-5174096
The DApp is called Kovrita Account User Interface (KAUI).
This is basically a user-friendly MetaMask (and other Web3 browsers) replacement, where user's Ethereum wallet is protected by the UserID/Password combination and (optional) two-factor authentication (Google Auth supported)

You can see the actual functional DApp here:
https://kovrita.io/account
Currently, users can send and receive Ether and USDk stablecoins, but support for other tokens will be available too.

I think you should use many different wallets to avoid the risk of happening. Don't click unspecified links on your mail as it can take away your password. Be careful in transactions that will make you secure. Wink

Good advice, hardware wallet is indeed good but not all can afford it,  so I think private keys should be saved offline so as to protect them from hackers. Also not all links should be clicked on when online. Guard your private keys.

When you are buying hardware wallet, ensure that you are buying new one from the official store because we see many cases when someone bought a wallet with hacked software. So be careful.
- Well, hardware wallets are a guarantee of asset storage and provide us with the highest level of security but in return, it is also an action that restricts our activities, more precisely, when we use this wallet, our flexibility and exposure to the market will become limited and inconvenient. And this story means that we will not be able to make money when we will often miss the opportunity, so I think we should only focus on protecting assets to some extent then think about making more money, worrying and hiding is not a good way

One more important thing, do not ever open any links that you often receive in your inbox. Because many have lost their tokens after opening the link. And also, the more airdrops now, of course, you have to be more vigilant. They could have inserted phishing in the link they sent.

Most people here do not use hardware wallets. People prefer to use free online wallets such as MEW, Imtoken or Trust Wallet. To protect it, maybe everyone has their own way. The most important thing is to always avoid dangerous sites or never install software. Because it will be able to result in our wallet can be hacked.

I always applied 2FA, and I used kaspersky to my PC, Laptop, and always keep my private key in a safest place, like flash drive,
and always doing back-up too. Or if ever you will use cold wallet, make sure to keep all important things such as password,
phrase words and private key of course.

This is redundant, and is just giving you more trouble and transaction costs. The way to protect your unique ETH wallet is to not get private key stolen, don't let the hacker get your UTC file. I used ETH wallet for the past 3 years, with lots of transactions, I found it very safe. and can't be hacked.

It is good to have more wallets, one for everyday use and others for long term holding. Private keys also keep on diffrent places.

The best method I normally use is to keep my Private key in a secret place only accessible by me, some one mention about using alphabets to represent the nos and I see that to also be a perfect one

I will encrypt my entire wallet secret code, then save it in the cloud, so I can take it anywhere and anytime

It is better not to enter your key to various little-known sites, because crooks can steal your key and your funds, and it is better not to show your wallet key to anyone at all

I also use several wallets to store coins and make clear my browser history after using private keys to them. Of course I understand that this method can't completely protect against hackers.
