i think not if there's always new alts that keep born and born, and not just that, some new alts without a clear roadmap and whitepaper but have a good price at starts is only good for beginning while for futures maybe it doesn't have any.

It is really difficult to know the future of altcoins,because there is a lot of cryptocurrencies in the world.Maybe we can predict by looking at their market cap or in other things. I think ethereum has a good future and can have a greater value someday like bitcoin.
There are number of reasons why cryptocurrencies are popular,Because unique features like safe, and decentralized.Every one exited for the future of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology,current innovation like Bitcoin,Etherum and other coins are beginning of this world.There are plenty opportunities in this field. in my opinion, a good altcoin is an altcoin who already had a working product, not a prototype and has a real-life use and clear and achievable roadmap and a huge community will define a successful project.

for me ADA, XRP and XLM might have great future, I keep holding and buying this year and might celebrate for the upcoming 2-3 years from now

There is a long-term view and a speculative short-term view. Speculative is well... speculative. It depends on news, introduction on new exchanges, etc. Long-term is dependent on the crypto regulation and overall crypto landscape and the particular coin community, tech and marketing.
