the only way to know someone is addicting or not is by that person itself because people just see what he is in front of computer or one place everyday, but actually people don't know what he is doing with his computer or in that place. so if that person is not telling that he is addicting person, then we can not know except he borrow some money from us and telling that he really need that money to continue playing gambling.

For me usually in a physical gambling those old time gamblers are usually sitted right next to the bankers. Often they are the center of attraction and they always make noise upon defeat of win. I think for me on how to spot a gambler addict is that when someone plays for a long time and gets easily aggregated when being asked or talked when they are betting or gambling. Gambling is really highly addictive and many people now are staying in casinos or on their computers just to gamble. When they get tired they always frown especially when they lose. I do think to spot a gambler that is addicted he/she is constantly playing and also non stop talking about it, its not hard to see if he/she is addicted on gambling. Sometimes they also lie just to gamble and whenever they lie that would be hard to identify and if you actually discovered that he/she lied that's the point were you need to tell them that they are addicted and they need to stop until they will use all of their money and go broke but in your example I see don't you don't play for a long time and you only play on your free time. I don't see that as an addiction but as long as you don't go overboard on your bets, its hard to lose but you need to accepts it and move one. the addicts not only play all the time on online ga,bling sites but the addicts are also found in real casino so if a person do not stay waked all the night and gamble then they may also be the addicts as they will go out side to any real casino and they will spend most of the time of their day or night in any real casino. Addiction in terms of not being able to earn or provide a living for their self and family is really not a good thing, but there are some who are really making gambling as they were for living ,no matter how they do that if it helps them and gives benefits to them then that's fine but if they already doing all the things enumerated above then they are certified addicts that needs counseling and realization in life.
