1. Find another activity which has similar fun and stop gambling.
2. If you cannot stop gambling, use as little money as possible.
3. Stay away from gambling friends.

If you're smart enough to realize you're addicted to gambling and you feel there is a need to change ,you're almost done. This will be the harsh way I'd suggest but disconnect your internet connection for about a month and try using minimal mobile internet for your general stuff.Read books.Try learning something else like swimming or archery or might as well work as you'll understand the value of money .

Stay aways from your friend that like gambling ; when you have free time, try something new like doing some sport like climbing, rafting , enjoy flying fox ,etc.
Just stay away from thinking about gambling everday. Don't forget to keep praying to your God  Smiley

The traditional way of getting away with addictions helps the best "The only way of getting rid of some addiction is getting addicted to something else".Also this strategy was helped to get drug addicts off particular drugs .Start getting busy doing other productive things like reading books, playing football or generally attending live events.Once you get busy in life doing things you won't have time for gambling at all.

Been on that path just when I was your age, not sure how much you lost but the moment that I had a losing streak of $100 a day for a week was the time that I decided to find a way to let go of gambling and the only thing that actually worked was getting a consultation with a psychologist which the problem you have here is clearly you for not letting go of something that is harming you... it took a month I guess, no kidding, around 12 sessions and ever since I didn't gamble at all so have that into your consideration

You also need to develop a mindset that gambling would not gain you any profit and would just ruin your life. Do ask your friends and family to help you to manage your money. If you have problems with online gambling, blacklist the sites using your firewall and set a password to reset them. If you have the urge, take a moment and think about the negative impact of doing it. After several months, you can occasionally do it but restrict your sessions to a few times per months and a fixed bankroll per game.

Actually I am the same with you few months ago but now I can stop it already and dont being addicted anymore, may be sometimes I still do gambling but it is low bet, winning or losing nothing to lose here. May be you should focus doing other entertainment to entertain yourselves like playing online games and never think about the past anymore, let that money be your last money to gamble and start collecting again. It is true that it wont be as fast as gambling but at least you can safe it without any risk

Recreational gamblers play for fun and spend a few dollars to have a good time. Gambling addicts place bets for reasons other than entertainment often trying to escape anxiety or other problems. Whatever issues you face, gambling isn’t the solution.

Self-control isn't always easy - but finding another hobby to take your mind off gambling would be a good start. Eventually you'll get used to not gambling - but for things like this you'd be best to go cold turkey and just try and completely quit altogether. Otherwise you might find yourself gambling when you're not meant to (and get into the mindset of gambling to recover losses etc. which just leads to more gambling).

Like u said u started from fun. All u need to do is to find another fun. Focus on something else that suits u, if u don't have u should search for some hobbies to occupy your mind.
