Funny lines, indeed. I get the sarcasm but I think most of the older members here already make sure to avoid these steps.

1. A lot of stuff these days are not necessary. Decide what is needed and buy accordingly. Though this is tough to do for much of the upcoming generations.
2. Source of income is usually one. More than one needs time to develop and work on.
3. Lenders can prefer lending money to a casino that allows investing in the bankroll, rare nowadays but a good side earning.
4. Gathering information is not counterproductive though. Mind your own but keep tabs on whats happening outside too.

Op non of those things you mentioned are the main factors to make someone poor. It is only poor people that buys  things that are higher than their income. Before you buy the thing , you are already poor so there is no need to say you are poor because you buy those things. Op you analysis is contradicting the real causes of poverty. Having one source of income have nothing to do with being poor. There are some people that have only one business but they are billionaires. Then according to the Holy Bible, cheerful giver will never lack. When you give others will also give you. Giving is one of the ways to become rich but only be wise.

You go to the ones you can and leave the rest.

These are not bad tips. If I had to mention the main one it would be to spend more than you earn, and related to that to have a budget to control expenses and income, but there are other related things. The OP's advice, if we take it the other way around, is a good guide to improve the economic situation.

Yes, this is the current era. Everyone likes to show more than what they have. It is a very bad thing. Being poor is not bad but being poor because of your own mistakes is not good.  Whatever you do should be frugal. Spending beyond your income will not bring any good.

As a businessman or salary earners here are tips on how to stay poor in life. Grin

1. Spending your money on unnecessary items immediately the money arrives. Trying to prove a point to people by living a standard that is above your pay grade.

2. Live on one source of income. Everyday of our life our responsibilities and challenges keeps piling up accumulating without consideration to our financial capability. The economy and cost of living continue getting worsen. So in order not to be able to beat this piling settle comfortably on a single source of income flow.

3. Become an extremely cheerful giver/lender to friends and family. A wisdom quote I read somewhere said, "if you want to lose your friends and family lend them money".  Keeping doing this and you going to be successfully poor.

4.Learn how not to mind your own business, making every events around you your concern even when it doesn't affect you. It's a nice way to make cool enemies. Etc.

I trust you all get the sarcasm as conveyed.

I don't think there is anyone who wants his life to continue to be poor, if there is I think he is out of his mind hahaha. Cheesy Grin
many rich people have difficulty succeeding, and if they change their mind to become poor I think what the OP said is true, it is the best quick way to become poor quickly, but unfortunately it seems that people like this are rare to find, I can't stand talking about this I want to fulfill my opinion with the phrase "hahaha".

I'm afraid there are people who take this seriously, but I hope no one takes this seriously because it's impossible for someone to want to live in poverty forever, because I think everyone wants to be rich especially with old age to enjoy, so we need to work hard to achieve financial freedom. but what I often encounter is the number one thing, that's what I often encounter in my environment. and I don't know what the purpose of the OP creating this topic is, because there is no way anyone wants to live in poverty continuously.

Failure does not require learning, only success does. You cannot teach a person how to fail because simply if he does not do something, he will be poor, and because the person realizes how bad his financial situation is compared to realizing that he is rich. Therefore, the steps to failure are easy and multiple, and the steps to success are boring and slow, but they earn you happiness.
Great views,

But it is clear that both failure and success are linked and cannot be separated. The standards of success/failure are difficult to distinguish. I simply think it's a process that everyone needs to learn and make choices. Regardless of the decision and the action that comes with it, the result is commensurate, and it's really hard to stop, it's infinite.

Let's talk about some reality too, work hard like a 16-hour job and all days a week for 52 weeks straight you will still be poor because you are working hard to make someone else profitable and you get paid in salary. The job market dynamics also changing which forces the employees to keep working hard for their survival or else there are lots of people out there who will accept a job offer with lesser pay due to unemployment.

Investing is a way to make more money but I would say people should start with skill development and side hustles that will keep them above the others and also bring more revenue in net which can be saved then only the individual can start their investing career.

But what most people do is, see investment as a money-making opportunity and then assume they will be successful which makes them take loans or borrow money and start the journey from debt which is a mistake and will probably keep them poor forever.

this one will save you from a whole lot of unplanned expenses for real. Their are so many bills you wouldn't be paying if only you mind you business and become precise with places you should or should not go.

As you start getting older, one of the most important decision you have to make is that unless the occasion is necessary, you wouldn't bother going.

Women are the number one victim of this issue. They want to attend all the programs of their old friends and acquaintance and would want to be buying dress for location they weren't invited to in the first place.

I almost chest billing this festive season just because I wanted to interface in someone that was staying on her own oh. Just from wishing dime people merry Christmas can make them to start billing you.

There are other tips to add, which are: showing off when you are not yet rich; being too proud to learn from anyone else to gain more knowledge that will help the person achieve more success. Openly discussing your financial plans with someone who cannot offer any better ideas or contributions to your plans.

Some people love showing off because they want their presence to be felt; they want people around them to know that they have money, but they don't yet have enough money to sustain them for an entire lifetime.

Sometime people say that staying poor is not the choice of people who are poor today, but actually most of them are doing things that make them remain at the same financial level for a lifetime or might even get poorer. Some people don't know how to make good use of an opportunity to grow their financial status but would rather misuse the opportunity and end up getting poor. It is wise to always keep our financial lifestyle in constant check to be sure that we are not doing things in the wrong way, which might end up not profiting us in the future.

Why bother if you want to continue to be in poverty, you just have to sleep, eat and then sleep again for months without thinking about the source of income. If you are still working, say as an employee at a company, you only need to spend more money than the salary you get every month. I'm skeptical that people reading this topic won't do the four points mentioned in the Op. Most of the people I meet, poor people want to get out of the poverty line and rich people like Elon Musk will always think about how not to fall into poverty.

 I had to do a double take when I read the title and the first thing that came to my mind was "how can one deliberately stay poor? " Funny question but that's actually possible because just as the Op stated here;
Quote
Spending your money on unnecessary items immediately the money arrives. Trying to prove a point to people by living a standard that is above your pay grade.
, people unintentionally do this, not knowing there are slowly creating holes in their savings. Some even find it difficult to distinguish their wants from their needs once there's money and this is bad because instead of having something to fall back on in the rainy day, you find there's nothing which makes some work 12 months of the year, but nothing to show for it.
It's ridiculous to compete with someone especially when you have one source of income. Even though you've got multiple streams of income, it's still not healthy to compete because at the end of the day you find you are just a version of some body else, living in their shadows and wasting funds that should have been put to good use.

In real sense no one wants to be poor, everyone wants to live a little better life from their position. People work hard to get rich and work hard to live a little better. No one's thinking is that he will gradually become poor, but people's thinking is that he will work hard and gradually improve his financial condition. There are many reasons why many people are not able to improve their financial situation enough despite working hard. He may earn money by working hard but he cannot retain that money and spend it properly due to which his financial condition does not change much even if he works hard. To change one's position one has to work hard as well as always find alternative sources of income and spend the money in a very limited amount but one can change one's position.

nice. this should be what is sent to those big names on Wall Street guys. they have a lot to learn in becoming poor. if they are just doing their best to become poor, they wouldn't have to struggle to spend their money. they are so incompetent in doing it. i would be glad to really help them for free by following OP's tips. i would suggest being the first to get a loan from anyone who wants to be poor and later sign an agreement to void the loan.
Yoh... Honestly I'm being really cracked up right now, who in the world will want to get poor. For real most people won't say it out but their actions says more of what they choose to become.

I don't know if being poor comes with specific benefits, then if not why do people keep living the lifestyle at which OP mentioned, could it be they are tied to limited knowledge.

As a businessman or salary earners here are tips on how to stay poor in life. Grin

1. Spending your money on unnecessary items immediately the money arrives. Trying to prove a point to people by living a standard that is above your pay grade.

This is very true as I can personally attest to the bad side of spending your finances on unnecessary items that will not add to your financial assets. Or benefit you in the near and future. I have been a victim of trying to impress my peers and family members by always budgeting and spending money on things that do not impact me but rather ends up exceeding my pay grade. This is me always waiting to recieve my salary and spend it on family and friends problems. Always promising to solve people's problems leaving my own issues underlying. My advise to every young person out there is for them learn how to priorize their expenses and spend only on important things.

Quote
2. Live on one source of income. Everyday of our life our responsibilities and challenges keeps piling up accumulating without consideration to our financial capability. The economy and cost of living continue getting worsen. So in order not to be able to beat this piling settle comfortably on a single source of income flow.

On this aspect, I'm not doing so badly, my rule in life is for everyone out there to have at least 4 different streams of income. And 4 is the least for my standard. Like the Four Rivers of Paradise described in the Book of Genesis, where an unnamed stream flowing out of the Garden of Eden splits into Four different branches, so shall the blessings and riches of man come from different branches and for me the minimum will be four.

Therefore, I am a writer and content developer who works on profiling of celebrities and write blog articles talking about society, politics and business as my areas of focus. I am into graphics designer and a printer at the same working for private companies around my country. I am also a proud member of this forum and always try to contribute by sharing my opinions and perspectives to issues within my purview. Lastly, I own a PR company which is focused on image making and proper communication of brand missions and projects to the bigger and wider audiences.

Quote
3. Become an extremely cheerful giver/lender to friends and family. A wisdom quote I read somewhere said, "if you want to lose your friends and family lend them money".  Keeping doing this and you going to be successfully poor.

This i think is synonymous to the first statement especially as it concerns me. For others, it will be more of spendingon dresses, at clubs and other fashion or technological assessories, but for me it was more of spending on others or at most taking different girls out on dates. Thereby finishing up my finances on such events.

Quote
4.Learn how not to mind your own business, making every events around you your concern even when it doesn't affect you. It's a nice way to make cool enemies. Etc.

I trust you all get the sarcasm as conveyed.

Well, I would not also say that I'm the event type as I don't really like going to birthdays, anniversaries parties or whatnot, so making cool enemies is not really my thing but I see how people gradually make enemies on events that will absolutely be avoidable.

In a nutshell. Let's try and avoid unnecessary liabilities and expenses instead go into savings however little and get used to investing our money for the period of need.

1. Ive done this, and i can assure you that getting out of this problem is really that pain in the ass. Once you do commit out on having those loans then getting out would be hard.

2. Live by your means that dont go beyond on your income because it would really be that a huge disaster if you do really find yourself spending more than on what you do earn.
You would really be just literally putting up yourself on such big trouble.

3.Its not bad to give but everything should really be that in moderation on which we do know that everythings too much would really be that
always bad even if we do say that we are really that giving into our loved ones, theres should always a limit.

4..Its not bad to socialize but if you are really that trying to engage each one of them then this is where problem do really starts.
So better avoid while its still early.

The biggest stupidity is doing the same thing every day and expecting a different result.
Poor people follow this rule and prosper in their poverty. It would seem that it’s enough to just change your usual life schedule a little and several options for how everything will develop next will appear. But the poor don't do that. The poor remain in their familiar world
So if you want to stay poor, just keep doing what you've always done. And you will succeed in this  Wink

The sarcasm is quite good, but I read some points as a reflection of a high level of selfishness.

To become poor, it turns out, is more dominant because someone makes others happy. So, is being selfish and not wanting to help others the best path to success? Doesn't everyone realize that no one can live alone?

Lending money to family won't make you poor if you're wise. Family is where we belong, so don't overthink about money when it comes to sharing. Remember, you surely know the limits of sharing within the family. Yeahh.. there are family members who aren't wise in spending money. You can skip to help him.. very risky choice.

Mindset should be tuned into something that will help us achieve financial freedom or atleast rise from poverty. Focusing to our goal will also give us the higher chance of success. All those list you have above OP does makes sense and should be taken into account by people who still has poor mindset.

Nice touch at the end so people that have a hard time with sarcasm get it anyway   Grin.

I like to add another one too and that's being too shy when it comes to asking for a payraise or asking for a loan for your business, being shy or shameful when there's no reason to be like that is a big bane that someone will cause them to not progress in life, being shy is the worse because you're already overthinking stuff when it's unlikely that it's going to happen until you try it. Being shy and too close to yourself is going to make someone poor. Sometimes there's doors of opportunities that are closed and all it takes for them to open is to just knock.
