I am proud to say that I just stopped smoking a few weeks ago. What I am doing is to just completely stop it and never looked back. I always keep myself busy and whenever I am in need of smoking, I just drink water, eat or drink coffee. It depends on how my craving goes. I am channeling the need for smoke to into something. The most important thing is to have the right mindset. Think of the reasons why you need to stop.

Need some discipline to be able to stop it,  it is not an easy thing but surely get over with it if the person really wants to.  Just focus and convince yourself that you can make it.

First of thanks for every suggestion. I slowly over the years became a smoker. I became aware of my addiction. I tried quiting several timer, but every time I would come back to it and smoke even more.

I tried two things so far:

1. Fully stoping to smoke
2. Gradually reducing

But it backfired every time. How did you stop?


you should stop smoking gradually, the way I do is always change one cigarette with candy. why with candy because for smokers usually do not smoke mouth sour to reduce the sour taste with candy. that's advice from me.

AS far as i know their is a new medicament launched in the market named nicotex that helps in stopping smoking. try it

Quitting smoking isn't a simple thing to do. It needs genuine assurance and groundbreaking inspiration. You should act naturally assessed and propelled. You have to control your want. You can toss a test to your self and told that you won't have the capacity to stop smoking... I trust you will end up to stop at end of time.

I also want to stop smoking in a while, started in my 15-16 and still cant stop.
Actually I think, the necessary thing is a strong decision, based on the power of will.

by way of eating candy will slowly stop smoking, although addicted if there is a will to stop slowly will definitely stop smoking

The major way out is how determined you are, if you really wanna stop, you have to be very determined.

Friendship can matter a lot in this case. If the friends are quite supportive, then it can be very easy to quit smoking. On the other hand, if the friends themselves are smokers, then quitting this habit can be quite difficult.

Because i dont smoke, this one is i think will help other people to quit smoking. You can fully stop smoking if you want, if theres a reason to stop you from smoking, for example illness or someone wants you to stop smoking, because other person i see is they can stop it if theres a reason to stop it.
Gradually reducing is not that good because you are still smoking and it cant stop you, because you still tasting it and you will hard to quit smoking.

for stop being smoker is not easy task, we have to believe that we can do it, I try to reduce it day by day, it's hard but I want to be healthy. So if i have bitter in my mouth i always chew a candy, i always prepare it in my bag or chocolate its help me not to consumme cigerette

Kid I work with bought a jar. Put $20 in every day for the two packs he'd smoke a day. Used it for the down payment on a $28K car. Also let us punch him every time he wanted a cig. It worked for him. He's smoke free now and rollin a balla ass Accord.

Keeping busy is a great way to stay smokefree on your quit day. Being busy will help you keep your mind off smoking and distract you from cravings.

I think gradually reducing is better variant because stop at one moment is very cruel and it is a shock for your organism. I also think that you should be prepared mentally, cause the most important thing when you try to stop smoking is your will power
