A good way for someone to learn is ways to obtain bitcoin; beginning with faucets, then as he realises that it’s a slow method of obtaining it; new ways are open to them like mining and signature campaigns. Making and developing that interest and eventually being resulted in  investing in Bitcoin. This is the best way to teach someone about the bitcoins.

I think Bitcoin should be introduced to new people not as a way to get free money but as a way to do better business and pay less fees in online transactions. Not everyone would be interested in clicking on faucets or posting on forums. Bitcoin can serve as a new payment method for their own private business or a new way to buy things online for less because most of the retailers offer discounts on products sold for Bitcoin.

As the title say, what is the proper way to teach someone about what is Bitcoin?

I would say videos mostly.

videos can definitely help them in knowing bitcoin but you also need to show them how they can earn money from it and it will surely motivate them.
yes, video is good way to explain about bitcoin, people should understand if they watch bitcoin with video tutorial, but the problem is how we can teach them to use it directly for payment??
Absolutely I think the video is still very difficult to become clear to someone about bitcoin because if they do not understand is not necessarily that he does not understand in the video. But if they could ask direct teach and can run bitcoin very clear.

Of course, personally teaching someone the ins and outs of bitcoin is always the best course. Videos are only there to assist you on explaining what bitcoin is. But when you teach it on a personal level, they can connect with you and bitcoin. You will be arousing their curiosity and you can directly answer any questions.

I think people will feel bored if you say about bitcoin terminology and history in depth. and people would be more interested if you tell them about the advantages and profit in bitcoin

A teacher put a video in front of the class. Do you think the students will learn? True. Videos are not that helpful if no one can really explain thoroughly. I would still suggest a proper guidance. That would take out the risk also of this person joining in some scam groups.

That's true only video will not help, you need to teach them practically by asking them to sit beside you and explain them how can earn money with it.

Teaching someone about the bitcoin is quiet easy you just need to tell them what you can do with it just say its an normal coin like a euro. But that coin has a kind of value like 1 coin is 200 euro thats the inly thing you have to say.

google and youtube are the best option so far and ofcourse all you need todo is to focus what you read and if you have some apprentice i will prefer teach him/her once i will start explaining to from where the bitcoin start
But in my opinion the best way to tell someone about bitcoin is to say directly what is bitcoin. Due to direct people to say it would be easy to understand and can ask directly that they do not understand.

Whichever method you use, at the end of the day, it'll depend on the person you have in front of you. If they're not interested, it's not gonna matter how you go about it. Usually within the first few minutes of talking about Bitcoin with someone who's never heard of it, I can tell if it's a lost cause.
LOL of course before you teach him. you must make sure that he was interested in bitcoin? if they are not interested in bitcoin and you'd teach him about bitcoin. surely you will have tribulation here

There are many ways how you can teach someone what is about bitcoin and how it works and how you can earn from it.First you must explain to him how bitcoin are being manage and working. Then explain him why the price of bitcoins is not stable so he will not be confused on price changes,Let him create a bitcoin wallet and explain how it works to him.Teach him/her how he can earn free bitcoins at first before he invest money on it.

Bad idea trying to teach someone about bitcoin, self education is always better, a lot youtube videos and different forums created for newbies. Just waste of time.

You just need to show them practically how can you earn with it it as no one believes in online money as they have feeling of getting cheated.

Some great ideas on this topic already....

Here are some things I do to help businesses understand bitcoin.  Feel free to add to this list.  I would love some more points.

If the person I am talking to sells anything and accepts credit card, paypal, etc...
a. explain they can save by adding bitcoin as a payment option.  Bitcoin has considerably lower payment processing fees for transactions.
b. explain the possibility of eliminating charge backs from customers who have paid with bitcoin
c. Bitcoin price volatility issue - explain bitcoin payments can be converted to fiat currencies very quickly, and fiat can be deposited automatically into a bank account
d. Integration of bitcoin payments with popular accounting software and ecommerce platforms exist.

Depending on the person I'm talking to I may avoid discussing things like
a. how banks may be as common as telex machines and land lines are now days.
b. some banks have been trying to duplicate bitcoin completely, or parts of it.
c. some banks do not discuss their security breaches.
d. some banks hurt some customers with their insane fees.

I would like to add some stats though.  So if anyone has info on how bitcoin and paypal compare in terms of daily/total volume and number of transactions that would be awesome to know.
