What I'm trying to do now is to introduce my wife slowly into the concept of earning bitcoin. That's the most effective way I could find in making her know how bitcoin works. I have recently told her about faucets and she is slowly starting to appreciate those little things. I will then let her know about bitcointalk so she could familiarize herself with what's going on in the bitcoin community. If she eventually participates in signature campaign, I hope she gets to read this and see how much she has learned about bitcoin.

I also tried youtube and its good. I think people would depend on what they want most. Posting or investing or miners. If you are good or you want to improve english then posting is one way to earn while learning. Investing would be from keen observation to know where to invest. Miners i think are people who are experts in computers adeptly. But if you versatile then you can use all tactics and other tactics i did not mention to earn more btc.
That's good to know that someone has been taught by youtube videos and it helped. I admire those miners, they are really playing a good role
in the market and if your friend who you are teaching wants to be a miner, well that's good to have a friend miner of yours

As the title say, what is the proper way to teach someone about what is Bitcoin?
I think the best method to teach someone about Bitcoin is offering him some coins and then asking him to own a wallet if he hasn't one, and then explaining how it works this powerful cryptocurrency for him

That's an incredibly hard question to answer.
I would probably just show them the fundamental videos about BitCoin that try to explain it very simply without all the techy stuff.

If the person you are teaching is serious to know what bitcoin is,then teaching him / her will be easy unlike those who only knows bitcoin just to join on signature campaigns to make profit and nothing else.

I a gree with you . a basic explanation bitcoin so be crucial early moment. explains slowly and gradually. it is an important point. if I am a person who is not familiar with the technology of course I would be confused when an explanation is too much about bitcoin. 
Teaching some about bitcoin is easy if they can give it a try to learn it they can easily learn what is bitcoin.. and i will teach them how to earn even a few bitcoin to use in buying load here in my country so that they can understand that bitcoin is money online that you can use to buy something in online..

Yes, it's true, to many information can confuse people.
Also, we are not on the same level and some people can understand more, some less.
We have to adapt to the people, and to some people we can explain much more than to others.
But, before education we should inspire people for bitcoin and this is the most difficult point.
If they are inspired they will make effort to understand.
If not, doesn't mater what we try, they simple don't care.

I think in many ways, so many video tutorials on youtube, different books, your friends experience and maybe even your own experience. If you want to learn someting i will find your way.
Right you are learning to understand bitcoin can be from anywhere. But I think it would be better if the learning directly in people who are already using bitcoin in advance. It will enable a person to understand and can be understood directly.No it is not right, a number of people who are not involved in online earning feeling a lot of difficulty in involving in bitcoin, they need some assistance and myself have saw a number of people who have spend dozens of year on internet but are not much familiar with bitcoin and need assistance in bitcoin.
