Hi! What are your bounty program?

Hi,

Ok, 6 cores flatout for 4 hours and nothing....

I'm assuming that since when i type "setgenerate true -1" into the console, and it doesn't even show me my hashes, nor does the network hash increase that i am doing something wrong?
I also assume that since the wallet reports over 800 KH/s already that you will be resetting the blockchain and starting again with a "FAIR" launch when you have ironed out these problems.

Would it not make more sense to start us off on a "testnet" for 24 hours first so you can find and fix the issues?
I can only see the current situation getting worse when you release a gpu miner

Disappointing...

There's nothing wrong with the mining. I mined from launch, it was at like block 5 by the time I got there, and I was a few mins late. I don't have a lot of power so I got a few blocks early, but nothing in the last few hours.  There's nothing unfair about that.  More processing = more profit for a PoW coin. Don't ask for a restart just because you were late, ask for one if you see something genuinely unfair.

I've been mining years, ans seen many launches, and this feels unfair.
The fact that you can't even see your own hash rate, the fact that there isnt even a "mining" option on the wallet, where you can easily select number of cores rules out most newbies, plus i genuinely believe that some one in the background already has a "private pool" with massive hash, or a gpu miner, which again only a few hours after launch would be bordering on unfair.
If a guy with 32 threads isnt even getting 1 block in 24 hours, then there is something not right....missing the launch by "a few mins" should not make or break a mining experience.
As for roll backs etc, look at Electroneum, BitcoinZ other recent launches, most of them have been rolled back, and have had massive starting issues.

Anyway, if a block can't be mined on a 6/8 core pc withing 24 hours, so soon after launch i suspect it won't get any miner other than the massive farms, so it will more than likely end up just another pump and dump...
Next few hours are critical to coins success, i look forward to waking up tomorrow to see what progress has been made. I mean we haven't even got a block explorer yet, so lets not get too carried away Smiley
J

It would be nice to be able to see the hashrate to try and optimize it. But I have mined 21 blocks so far with only 8 cores so either I'm very lucky or others are very unlucky. Even now I'm still getting a block every ~3 hours.
If you mine with 32 Cores Xeon you should get some blocks, based on my own experience : i have started mining from the beginning with a 2 x Xeon 3.4 GHz (24 Cores) and i got till now 14 blocks.

if you can share your debug.log i can help

Normal. Too many solo CPU miners. Diff is very high and blocks mines hard.

Running make on Ubuntu 17.10 64bit fails with a qt error, don't remember which Undecided.

Make runs fine after you run " ./configure --without-gui " instead of "./configure"

When I run ./hppcoind I do not get any output.

Post plz the error, if you can repeat it  Wink
I had problems too, but only with libs.

Yeah @minerja I don't doubt that you know what you're doing based on your rank, but it seems like something might just be wrong with your client if the rest of us aren't having as much trouble?  But I will agree that it would be nice to be able to see our own hashrates.  I'll note that my win qt tells me how many cores are actively mining (it's on the bottom right of the main client screen, where the # of network connections is) but not the hashrate.

I dont say about another my servers... Now we have only 155 mined blocks! And many miners with i7, xeons, etc... Without pool, if you know, it means - Every block with it's HIGH diff every miner mines SOLO. Diff is calculating based on ALL NET HASHRATE, do you undestand it?

Dev, need some info.

1. What about masternodes? When, what collateral, etc...

2. Exchanges. What exchanges in plans? Have you funds for listing, or donate system? When will be first exchange.

3. GPU miners. CLI and CUDA miners will be released in same time? If no, it will be not fair. And, yes, when?

4. Translations. Will be bounties for them?

5. Your team. Can you post more info about your team (maybe LinkedIn accounts, etc)

so LYRA2H it is the algo..?

Looks like this.

Dev, at 8:50 AM Wednesday, November 22, 2017 (MST) can we start to mine this coin by CPU?
GPU miners will be released only in december?

just 35 Min before the mining start time.

Links will be posted on http://hppcoin.org in few minutes.

stay tuned and happy mining :-)

For now just use the built in CPU Miner.

The pool and CUDA, OpenCL miners will be announced next week see our RoadMap on Trello.

Lol if this is a new algo but the devs will be the only ones GPU mining until december, this project is going to die pretty fast.  You need to release a GPU miner at launch if you have one.  If you don't have one, you need to make that clear, but if you're lying, you will be found out pretty quickly.

You also need to give a straightforward "yes" answer telling people this is a new algo.  Do you not see several people asking?  Isn't it in your interest to communicate clearly?

We didn't yet released the GPU Miner, we still working on the CUDA Miner, we will publish the binaries as soon as we finish dev and test.

No worry we will test it on testnet and release it to public first.

I got it to compile but when I run ./hppcoind I don't get any terminal output, the terminal just hangs.  I assume that means its working, but I'm used to ones where I can set getinfo or similar commands.  It doesn't matter, the difficulty is so high I don't really want to throw my VMs at it anyways, I'll have one windows machine on it and that's it until I'm able to test my GPU miner.  Thanks!

Yeah, I think I'm done mining this, difficulty has exploded too high now. Either the devs are mining with huge resources or someone has a large botnet on it. Oh well, it was fun for a while. At least I can say that I mined the first block of this coin if it ever gets really popular Grin

Is it a new algo?

it's LYRA2 with specific parameters for hppcoin.
