Does P2Pool manage merged mining via pooled way or it works as solo mining?
I guess that Pyramining won't be enought powerful to solo mining altcoins
Only the master coin being mined is split among the pool. All merge-mined coins via P2Pool, is solo-mining.

not at all concerned about p2pool, and "steady payouts" by using a centralized pool, isn't a big deal to me.

the long-term profitability is way more important than getting a steady drip of coin.

I'd rather deal with the variance, then give up a percentage to a pool, just to have a steadier drip of payouts.

P2Pool has not found a block in over 3 days.  I used to think pyramining's payouts from P2Pool went to this address:

http://blockchain.info/address/1CzLSNz7V6EufECrjvMXBiVo8Tu7z3XgkF

but I am not sure about that any more.

I supported the idea of p2pool when he first brought it up, however this p2pool at least has not grown along with the network.
I say its time to move to eligius. They are 1/8th of the network, big enough to have steady payouts, yet still small enough for us to not be concerned about them having too much power.

Don't use bitcoin.de if you care about privacy!
Status update: first 5TH/s have been installed. I will be able to install about 5TH/s week, maybe slightly more. There is a small "hole" to recoup due to the power usage of the previous generation ASICs. In a few days, payouts could start coming again.
I will post some more details in the next days. I have been very busy making everything up and running.

Soooo when will this ,,small'' hole be recouped? You are Mining with 5TH/s at least for nearly a week now.

Pyramining: Any chance we can move to eligius? Steadier payouts would be better all around. Plus, they merge mine nmc that would help offset the management costs.

Is this a one man op? Can't he focus on other coins to maximize profit? Sorry if this question has been asked before, and props on him for not running away!

ASICs don't mine for non-sha256 coins, and most of the SHA256 coins are worthless Wink

Not always true.  I mined Maza for a few days and sold on a high.  I made more than I would have if I had been mining BTC.  But yes, that's the exception rather than the rule.

Ok my account is finally activated. Thanks 4 that. But ¿when will i see my first payout?
He said there is hole from the last hardware, when the new hardware mines enough to fill that gap we will begin to see payouts again. He said it should only be a few days.

Hello Pyramining,

Just a quick clarification, one of my accounts has a deposit of 6.1 BTC, was a very early account. I clearly remember that it had been allocated 1.6 gh/s approximately earlier, but now when I logged in after a long time it has come down to 51kh/s Huh?. Isn't that weird, how can the mining power reduce....if this is already deployed hardware. Isnt that the logic you have used to rate the sell prices of the accounts. please provide clarifications.

thanks for all the work you been doing.

I can't speak with 100% certainty, but I think it has to do with how he his allocating the new hashing power to the oldest deposits.
My largest account had 12.xx ghs before and now it has 11.5 with quite a few of my deposits having 0.0 hashing power at the moment.
Either the rest of the deposits will come on with the new hardware, or as the eldest deposits get cleared out.

The new rigs still haven't been implemented yet?

perfect! TK

we don't talk about the price of bitcoin.. if it goes down the mining it could be non profitable more... lol lots of variables!!
I am not sure what he is doing with that, I thought he would lock the cost at what he paid per ghs, rather than have it float.
I have several small deposits from a chained account that were all activated at different rates.

Though, thinking about it, considering he probably still automatically converts to fiat, it doesn't matter, it still reflects the current USD/GHS rate.
