Sorry to hear that @OP. Do not sell at a loss, the best thing to do is buy more when the price dips. This is why i don't use all my capital to buy in one transaction. I leave some more for safety so that I can buy more if the price falls, in that case, it will be easier to reach sell target
Hold your favorite alts. It will follow the Metcalf's law. Most likely.
If you are a day trader and never seem to be making money, I suggest pick a few very good coins that will moon in 2018 and send them off to MEW or ledger or a compatible wallet and forget about it, and leave a bit on an exchange for trading daily, even if you lose on day trading come back in 6 months to a year and check your MEW or ledger and you will be in for a surprise.
Keeping everything on an exchange is not only not safe but you are tempted to buy pumps with all your money and lose even more money when it dumps.

to make your money back I think it will be difficult. why do you use a large amount to practice trading. you should to know that trading is very risky. you have to practice a lot and learn before using large funds.
In trading mate, you should have this, invest your money on what you can afford to loss, becuase not all the tike you will see and gain profit on it unless you have enough knowledge. Just take that as a experience mate because experience is the number one teacher on it.

I am very sorry to hear from you about this news, but no one can help you. I wonder if you know that all investments are risky. The investment in the cryptocurrency market is the riskiest and highest-income, if you don’t have this Knowledge is just blind speculation, then I suggest you exit the encryption market to avoid losing more money.

Traders are just also taking advantage on your part whom possibly known that you do not know about the cryptocurrency and that is very unfortunate on your part. I suggest if you put your money in cryptocurrency then invest on those established crypto like bitcoin or other leading altcoins in the crypto markets. You can have ethereum, neo, ripple or check in this website coinmarketcap.com. And try to see the ranking of crypto there and invest in an exchange list that you are prefer to.

When you talk about investments then you will always have stress and tension, it’s non-bail able offence type thing. It’s not possible to run from it, but if we face it all with confident and honesty then we could really move forward well and towards getting good results as well.

Then you should stop trading for a while. Then try other type of investment in cryptocurrency such as ICO or Mining. Do you know that mining bitcoin and altcoin is profitable, it can generates passive income to you. Don't worry mate, you will get your money back if you get enough experience in this cryptocurrency investment, many opportunities here.However trading is high risk and unpredictable job so its normal to loss but loss that much is more than normal. We must know how much is the limit to loss and it means we need to review strategy agin.
I always advice people that ask me that you only go for projects that already has a working prototype or at least a minimum viable product before investing. Most of the time, these are the companies that are worthy of investments or atleast won't scam...
at times like this you must have a strong mentality and more patience you do not panic, if you want your $ 13,000 lost back hold all the yanda coins have until all prices recover and all your money will come back

Trading on Crypto is more difficult than normal trading on securities, no regulators, no guarantees, no solid exchange, you could lost form trading but from scam exchage too , this is not acceptable for me.

Trading is not an easy thing buddy, you got to have the skills and you put more time into it. It would be helpful for us here in the forum if you will elaborate how you end up losing that much amount.

Welcome to the club of investing. There is no trader or investor that has not lost money. The most important thing is to learn your lessons and adjust. I do hope you are able to gain back your lost even though from experience, it is hard. Just focus on getting better at the game
