Ouch that's a rough mistake. I'm sorry for your loss. Cryptopia has always been a fair exchange and great to deal with before and after the hack. Might just have to be more careful next time.

That's not true. Cryptopia have engaged in some shitty behavior in the past, just have a deep scan of the scams and accusations section.

The sad part is, despite what we all think ethically, they have in their legal right to deny service in such a case, will such denial hold up its end in the court if OP sues? Most probably not. But who'd sue for such little money? The OP needs to be geared up to sue them for hundreds and thousands, if not millions.

I don't think they have millions to pay out anyway.

The Cryptopia support cleared the all raised questions and there are no much things left to do. The downside of blockchain is no availability of reverse transactions which is both good and bad for traders.
Isn't that address belong to cryptopia? If so, cryptopia can easily solve the issue. It doesn't take more than couple of minutes although they have to maintain the other things as scheduled. I think they are willingly doing this.

It is necessary to carefully read the conditions of use of the exchange, there is certainly spelled out a clear condition for the mandatory verification of all recent messages and warnings from the exchange before making each transaction. But in some cases, support can go towards the user, so there is always a chance to change the situation.

It's all your mistake for not announcing the latest announcement from Cryptopia. Always watch their social media if you deposit/withdraw to the exchange and see what addresses its allowed to deposit and withdraw.
This is a serious mistake when users have updated the latest information from developers so errors arising in the transaction process will not be supported. I hope that you will be able to pay attention and update new information regularly during the use of these platforms.

I feel sorry for your loss bro, but it is more better for you to forget about that and move on but still be updated to the chances that you can get your coin back.

Expect nothing and dont get hurt or expect what you want and get depressed by the promises.

I think they are very busy nowadays with the creation of hot wallets and auditing. Maybe you should wait for a few more months and then remind them about your issue. I can't guarantee you anything, but in case what you are saying is true, then there is a good chance that they may refund the coins.

Cryptopia has a really shady past and I would avoid using it.  Stick with good exchanges like yobit, binance, gemini, kucoin.  There are a lot of good options out there that dont even make you do a kyc to deposit and withdraw.

I think that your money is gone.

They announced lots of times not to deposit anything. You will pay your mistake unfortunately.

yes, you thats right
people should check their email, as often as possible
because, an exchange always send us an email about their news and update,,
i hope, everyone will learn from this mistake

So you lost around $3,000 due to your own foolishness? Let's examine the options you have right now:

1. Forget about it and move on: the coins are gone. If you can move on with your life, then it may give you peace and a good night's sleep.
2. Begging: You can send emails to cryptopia every 24 hours, until they finally block you. If this gives you some peace, then go on.
3. Legal route: You can contact an attorney in NZ and file a lawsuit against the exchange. Don't think that it is worth the expenses.

You only have to ask them for support, if not, maybe you are unfortunate! Note, when depositing up to the exchange, you should check the receiving address and be more careful, try it out in small quantities before sending all the numbers you want to sell!

I am sorry but I do not think Cryptopia is at fault here since they already gave you a warning that all funds sent may not be recovered. There is probably nothing they can do about it so just let it go

sad to hear that. . hold on, don't be sad Shocked
if it is impossible to find a common language with them, unfortunately nothing can be done.
It is better to learn this lesson as best as possible and start to transfer large sums in parts - for example, first 10 $  to the address you need, and then everything else.

I think in this case they don't do anything wrong, and the risk of losing all that money is very high. The only thing you can do is try to contact support, hoping that they can do something

If you couldn’t get solution from them directly, then there is nothing any one here can do to help you, except you want to talk to an hacker to hack your coin back, lol. And this, I think it is impossible again for anyone to hack them.

I guess you just have to let that one go man, sorry for your lost, hope the value of your coin in dollars is not that much, I can imagine how painful it will be, and I am very sure you must have learned your lessons never to be too much in a haste in doing things, and always take your time to verify the address before sending. Just hope that they will get back on their feet and they can help you.

Better still, what if you cut a deal with them, it is better to have some back than not to get at all, why not offer them 30% of it, while they return 70% back to you.

I bet that you deposited to the wrong address. It's a common mistake by newbie in trading(if you're not it's also a common mistake  Grin). I'm a victim of this and next time you should try to be more careful. Here's what you can do to verify, copy the addresses to word document before sending and compare.

He does not deposit on the wrong address, he clearly stated that the address was fine but cryptopia made an announcement not to deposit on the old address several times.  There is no way OP can recover the money unless cryptopia give a consideration.  They have the private key of those addresses, the hacker only gets a copy but can never steal private key away from the owner making the owner lost its private key.  It is clearly OP's fault and he admits it.  Sad that we have to learn our lesson the hard way.  I hope cryptopia will be moved and consider returning your coins even though they replied that they won't.

There are a couple of options that have probably already been written here, but I think that you need to contact support, maybe they can help you get out of this situation, in any case, it may turn out that you can no longer access your funds.
He already had contacted and they said it's not possible since they sent email asking not to deposit any amount. But it is not something impossible. They should act to satisfy customer.
