In a mid-term it is better to buy some DeFi which plan to have presence in another blockchains (e.g. Tezos). ETH's most disadvantage is low TPS and high fees. I don't think that Eth-devs will manage to solve it in a proper way. So there must be an alternative. Like FLOW or polkadot

So you want to invest for one altcoin only with $1000..? my suggest is invest your money in ethereum, it's a safe investment if you hold for long term because it has potential to grow at $5k in the future and it has a chance that it will happen this year, who knows.. Currently ethereum still keep growing.

So you want to make an investment of $1000 and want insane profit. Actually buy and hold is a good way to make money in the crypto industries. But for this, you need to choose some legit project. I would suggest you buy Ethereum, Litecoin, chainlink, PokaDot, and CRV right now. Don't put all of your money in one basket. Because is very risky and you may lose all of your capital in this way. So it would be nice if you split your money and invest in some different projects. 
Insane profit means for the long term, if for the short term but wanting to get insane profit now is very difficult, keep choosing the top altcoins so that you can get insane profit in the future

I think they only expecting the where to invest in crypto market. Because number of coins are available in the market, so we can guide the better project in this traffic. Already current market is growing well on after covid 19 so we can split to invest in top altcoins. we make good profit and stop loss also important in trading method so we can analyse and study some techniques then invest your 1k USD. hi guys

Take a small portion of that money to buy books to read about this market, using the remaining money when you are ready to lose it. That is serious advice for you if you are a novice, and remember to buy yourself lots of bitcoins.
Save money on buying books and find these books online. At least it will teach and evolve skills of searching and doing research.
After that, seek for perspectives in every new coin or token listed on coinmarketcap or coingecko, and divide investment in these altcoins. Then just relax and wait. Anyway this is all just a lottery. Doing research will slightly change win/lose ratio to 51/49.
I see that topic starter already invested in mining hardware. I suggest him to calculate his profit and better invest that 1000$ into mining, than asking random people for advice where to his money. Because they can advice anything, they risk with nothing.

If you wanna risk 1000$ in a profitable Altcoin you can think to invest in DOT the 50% of the total amount and another 50% on another top marketcap crypto like Cosmos. They are two different projects but in my point of view they will do a very high profit soon

so far, all I can think of is bitcoin and ethereum. I see that the development of coins or other tokens follows the development of the prices of the two coins. however, currently the prices of both coins are still very expensive, so most suggestions given are ChainLink, Polkadot, Avalanche, BNB, or other popular coins. You can find other coins by doing deep research for it.

You can use those advise as basis, you can review all those assets that being said here, researching why those projects have potential growth and if how long will you hold is really important knowledge to acquire.
This market is full of sway so those who have good knowledge are the one who are more capable in adjusting to whatever market condition.

This is why sometimes If i have some funds ? i am betting directly in currency that my Instincts telling me than asking anyone , because this is what i observe in this forum, those who asked today ? abotu a certain coin in just day or weeks the value of the said coin is increasing in reason i can't find.

what did you mean by insane profit mate ?
i think its better for you to drop your money 50% in ethereum, then another 50% you can go for a new project with a lot of potential and many people call hidden gem, because you can get a huge profit if you can find a hidden gem

If you know how to do research on crypto projects you can easily tell that these projects have no time to play around
You have different options depending on what kind of investment you want to invest. If you are going to wait for a long time, you must have bitcoin and ethereum. You can also invest some of your money in coins that are not yet heard of. You have to do some research and find the gems 
If you are thinking about trading daily, polkadot or ripple might be good options. I do not like these coins very much, but you can make some money with this coins

if I were you, I would buy BNB or participate in the SafePal (SFP) token sale on binance who will come soon in the next few days, or you can choose an investment in a top altcoin but to give crazy profits I think it's quite difficult.
