If i have that amount of bitcoin then i will covert the half into our local money and hold the remaining half because i have my own personal needs that differ from others, so if that is really a question on what you should do of your 12 btc then seriously my answers is its all up to you since we are all have different purpose and needs of financial aspects.

for the current period 12 btc has a small value because currently bitcoin has a significant price decline. you can hold the coin and when the high price you sell and make 12 btc as a capital for trading and buy altcoin that has good potential.

You can trade with altcoin. and invest in altcoin or you hold your bitcoin until the right time. Because bitcoin will definitely increase in a few months or years

Based on the success and free time that I have, I have decided to research the top 200 altcoins and release at least one analysis of them a day. Will release the results in this group (first 500 to join will get access to the premium group) Link below...

I have 12 Bitcoins. I am not a whale. I started about 6 months ago with 0.01 Bitcoins and $1000. I turned it into 12 Bitcoins so far and am pretty proud to say the least.

My question is, what do I do now?

As far as I can see, I have 4 options;

1) Hold the Bitcoin

2) Invest in altcoins and leave a little in Bitcoin

3) Fund a project and start my own cryptocurrency that solves a problem that current currencies face (scalability, Tx fees etc.). With the funds, I would be able to assemble a team, start a marketing campaign, get listed on exchanges etc. I am also a programmer which helps.

4) Convert it to fiat (probably the dumbest idea)

Edit: I should also add, I dropped out of school and have all the time in the world so can fully commit to any idea. I will earn my living of cryptocurrencies.

A few people have asked how I made my money so, if you are interested, here is a short summary:

Initially, I put it all into Bitcoin during the massive FUD of the fork around June when Bitcoin dipped to $1,900. Then I put half my money into NEO before all of the hype at around $12 and cashed out at $40. Then I invested in a couple ICO's and turned a pretty good profit of off the hype. After that, I got back in on NEO as soon as China announced the regulations regarding ICO's and rode the wave back from around $20 to $40 (I can't quite remember). Then, I rode the hype of Ethereum Dark, eBitcoin and a few other airdrop scams. Finally, I got in on Wincoin before it got to coinmarketcap and turned a 20x profit.

Don't take it as financial advice, but personally I would go for a combination of 2, 3 and 4. It couldn't hurt too much. Get the best out of both worlds. Wink

if I have 12 bitcoins, then I will hold a half bitcoin and sell half a bitcoin to buy ethereum, because I think both are equally good for long-term investments,

That was great to have a 12 bitcoin. Hold it and wait until the end of this year. Smiley

Presale is live!
You can hold btc until the end of the year.  Or part of the coins to sell and buy eth, because the price for eth is growing faster than on btc.

As much as I think that holding is a good way to make money from coins, 12 bitcoins is a lot of money and I think he would be better off actually investing some of his coins into other projects maybe for the short term and he stands to make a lot of money from them. Also he can invest in ICOs as there are a lot of promising ICOs out there that he can make a lot of money from.

Probably you need to relax and think about what you can buy for such money, all the same today, 12BTC is a very big money, which could become in the near future a huge amount of several million dollars, if of course the Fiat will exist.

There are many options if you had to try to split your bitcoin and make some invesment like ICOs and other altcoins and etc. And some of your bitcoin just hold on because everyday, weeks or months your bitcoin will be double at anytime $

If you have 12 bitcoins in my opinion you must hold a little bit time because very soon the price will grow up.

I will reinvest all of my earnings to other promising altcoins. I will retain the original bitcoin value then the profit will be reinvest to new altcoin. Your last options is really the dumbest idea since you seems good at trading.

Of course, the best option is to hold the coins until the end of the year.  By the end of the year, the price should grow at least 2 times.

since the topic was created back in 2017, I hope you managed to sell bitcoin at the end of the year, because the figures were just huge

For me? I'd rather to choose hold it. Because it will grow more. And also invest in a altcoins and leave a little amount of BTC. This is two will give you more than what you've hold. Or make it cash out and built a sure small business, it will also make you rich.

I'll support the 2nd choice. Invest on alt coins and then keep a little amount of bitcoins. Of course, it will take a lot of research to invest on alt coins because not all altcoins are profitable. They're sprawling all over the internet so you really have to choose wisely the alt coin you want to invest on.

If there is an idea, then create your own project, your coins. But if you're for six months made 1000$, 100 000$ that I stay better in the market and trade on the sense to twitch if so well.

first thats a huge of bitcoin, and i will advise you not to use everything to invest once, try to hold  50% of it, you can use the othe 50% to start invest in an ICO of your choice, but of course theres always a risk, so you have to choose your ICO wisely. You can also try, trading, but you have to be knowledgable about it in other to get profit.

According to me you should hold these 12 coins and wait for the price to be increases as we all know these days the market value of coins is going up day by day so for getting better profit you should hold it and when the time is right then sell and earn greater profit.
