You should consider building a portfolio with a variety of different coins. I think it's good to have multiple coins and not only bitcoin. I do consider myself a bitcoin maximalist though. But in order to get more bitcoin you should invest in multiple altcoins.

where should i invest and why ?
A safe bet would be investing the majority into stable coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum, while a small amount in other altcoins. In this way, you will benefit from the long-term growing trend of cryptocurrency, while diversifying and mitigating the volatility of individual coins.
I suggest that better put your money into bitcoin, because for me it is more profitable than to other coin that sudden dump after someone invested high amount of money.
It is said that never put all you eggs in the same basket. In the same way if the amount is big never invest in one thing only. Split it according to your requirement like short term and long term plan and then place in different asset class to distribute your risk accordingly. For example you can put some money if different alt coins and other in bitcoin.
You can invest some in PRE ICO stage coins if you think that coin has a future so that if it works returns will be manifold times.

In my opinion you should use your money to invest in the three things only .First thing is to buy a miner for ETH , BCH like coins because mining for such types of coins is a better option because profit is better in these coins .
Second thing is to launch your own coin with better economical support and better promotion , because launching of the coin needed only money and devloper only and simple other things we can hire from online marketplace directly .
Third thing you should do , is to make trading yourself , because I don't think that there us another way to make money by rotation of money from exchange to exchange in small small amount .
So if you will go through these ways then surely will get not success but a better success .

I will invest in Bitcoin and a few more coins in the following manner: Bitcoin: 50%2 or 3 coins from top 10 coinmarketcap: 30% For this I suggest ETH
ICOs that have good potential: 20%

Any advice here is about where to put money. I will advice you to get a paper wallet address, that will secure your funds, whenewer and whatever you buy (i recommend bitcoin as most stable ale reliable project)
That's a lot of money there pal. But if you really want to invest, first you got to invest maybe, 50% to Bitcoins, and 50% to other alts. Make sure that you do your research first before investing in.
