I've been advised that as a newbie i shouldn't rush but to learn from old forum members and grow. But then, I've seen that for one to grow over here you need to get merited and on a regular basis, well i believe at this point i should've been able to acquire some merits, despite the fact that I'm still a Newbie but then i don't see the Merits coming, even after some post i felt could fetch the Merits. It makes me wonder if my posts are not Merit worthy or Quality enough.

Though it almost got me díscouraged, however instead of being discouraged, I'm open to learning ways or how to get the Merits and grow on here, my questions are what I'm i doing wrongly? How can i improve it and also where is the best board to write on if i need these Merits coming?

Don't get discouraged so easily, some things are difficult to achieve but there is always a possibility if we keep working hard and do the things in the right way.
I have checked your post history, and I must say that you are doing pretty well, I didn't see any one-liners or off-topic posts, so you are on the right track, just remember that you need to continue learning and improving over time, and always be yourself and write what you think will contribute in a discussion.

I'll just give you a small suggestion that I noticed isn't present in your posts. Whenever you are posting a link, try to post it as a hyperlink which means you should write a text and then add the link under that text so that it looks better and gives the post better readability.

Ahan, mate do not feel demotivated as I can see you just have posted only 29 posts in your account if you lose at the beginning point how you will grow furthur? stay active and keep making good posts and participating in the discussion actively doing this you may get merits on your deserving post. But after reading your post I came to realize that you are motivated at your initial stage and this thing disappointed me. If you stay active on the forum you may see many other members who do not get much merits they should get you even they have made a lot of posts then you will feel that you are far better than them here you have two merits. You can get more just by doing quality posts.

Do not run before getting merits rather run before quality posting your merits will come whenever they come. Stay motivated on the forum if you want to stay here as it is just your beginning point. If you feel low at this point then your journey is way much more difficult for you so never feel disappointed or discouraged.

Actually you are actually right about what you are saying, because at some point, most of us in this forum has experience such in the past which made some of us discouraged, and most times some even quit, but it's a good thing that you stood your ground and you have not gave up.

What I would suggest to you is that, in this life that we found ourselves in, it's very necessary that if you are doing something and it's not giving you the desired result, you just have to pause a little bit and look at your performance and the performance of those that have gotten such result you are craving for, so In this forum, I suggest you look at the post of those that have merit on it, so you can know what you are doing wrong and correct it. After doing that, I believe that the merit will start coming in.

Also I appreciate you for being the first source of the merits I've earned so far, that would serve as a motivation for me here, to be honest I've not been stable here for some days due to certain circumstances but seeing the merits I got put a smile on my face and I'll try as much as possible to do better and earn more. Once again thanks for your motivations, fo the encouraging me to do better and also for the merits.

The first thing you need is to stay on the forum and always be updated whatever it is. If you read diligently and are smart in understanding various issues or things, I think the increase in merit will be fast and your account will automatically move gradually.

Maybe at the moment there are only 2, but if you focus diligently, I'm sure that number will continue to increase, where in the future the value of your future efforts will be paid off and will really be felt. The important thing is not to hesitate in writing, in asking and giving your opinion, I am sure that as long as it is polite, organized and has beneficial values, it will be noticed by our seniors here like @PX-Z and other friends.

If you can go through your past posts, you will discover that you are not standing in the quality post and for you to grow your account fast in this forum you need to develop quality post for people to know that you have learned from old members from the forum. If you want to be in a hurry to grow your account in this forum, I think you will miss it at the end because there are some rules that governed merits abuse which some scammers use to collect money from newbies to over merits them and their account will be affected negatively. I will advice you to exercise patience with your current position in the forum, because things will not remain like this forever, all those old members you see in this forum was a newbies but they endure to get to where they are today in the forum.

Enjoy your first merits from me, this is to encourage you to post more and be active if you want to get more merits.

A piece of advice, don't stay longer on opinionated boards and threads, you won't get any merits there. Instead go on technical, services discussion and forum related boards where fact and experience based answers is seen/read. Once you provided answers to those who are asking questions based on facts (of course with proofs) probably you will get more merits.
I really appreciate your kind gestures, I'll take your advise seriously and work on my mistakes, I think I have to go through your profile and learn from maybe I'll get a clue from you concerning the boards you recommended I should focus more on and how to go about them, I see you're a Hero member which means you've got lots of experience on here, experience they say is the best teacher and I'm open to learning from yours to get more ideas about how to go about this space.

Also I appreciate you for being the first source of the merits I've earned so far, that would serve as a motivation for me here, to be honest I've not been stable here for some days due to certain circumstances but seeing the merits I got put a smile on my face and I'll try as much as possible to do better and earn more. Yes you need to be merited before you can grow on the forum here, but from the way you are posting, then you might end up not growing. It’s just obvious that you are here because of merit, and most people that are here because of merit always end up spoiling their account. Because most of them do crazy things just for the sake of merit, but they won’t end up receiving the merit. If you want to post here, then post freely, and you will get merited. You can learn from higher rank, and they can always motivate you to make quality post here.

well i believe at this point i should've been able to acquire some merits, despite the fact that I'm still a Newbie but then i don't see the Merits coming, even after some post i felt could fetch the Merits. It makes me wonder if my posts are not Merit worthy or Quality enough.
You are not the one that’s suppose to determine if a post worth merit or not, people reading your posts are the ones to judge if your post worth meriting or not. And some people will have the intention to merit your post, but they won’t have smerit, so because you haven’t received merit doesn’t mean you are going to give up from posting here.

You need to understand that getting merited in this community is competitive now not like before that you could write some couples of rubbish and start getting merits even when your posts do not worth it. That phase has gone because we have more newbies here than the old members. This is competitive and you will need to keep writing good posts for you to get merits.
I don't know why it looks like you are too much in a haste, you will need to calm down and do the right thing for you to keep getting merits from other serious forum members. You don't expect to write something that has been frequently seen in the forum and expect to get merits. It won't happen unless you do the extra ordinary thing.

You're primarily not here to acquire merits nor to grow your rank but you're her to grow your bitcoin and crypto related investment knowledges. You can also take an advantage to advance your everyday life in both economy and societies.
Dear mate Op, while you're here and currently a beginner, I'd advice you to stick to create quality and constructive posts. Especially posts that would either serve for solutions or something kind Worth deliberating. Then you can obtain merit if your post interests any forum users who has a Sendable Merit to appreciate your post.
If I may ask Op, what's your aim of being here in this bitcointalk discussion forum?
Apt! here is to source informations on various cryptocurrency projects or news. participating in discussions allows us to stay updated on the lastest trends and development in the crypto world.

Merit is not the only thing that you need to rank up and group you also have to be active on a daily basis and write some posts no matter how good are they just try to be yourself. Write whatever comes to your mind. Slowly slowly you will get the experience of writing quality posts.
When you write post that really matters to other then the merit is for sure to come.

When You write posts you gain activity points which are also necessary for ranking up so just try to be active and keep posting on daily basis.

I should believe everyone have this same instincts of you that they believes that they have created some constructive, quality and interesting posts that has or could contribute to afford solutions for the forum which certainly, the forum users duely believes that the post most on ko account fetch them not less than 3 merits but all to the South side that they can not even get a single merit from that expected post.

This happens not just to you the newbies but also the ranked up members here in the forum. So OP, don't be devastated over this because you are not into this alone.
You must know that you could feel you are right while you are just totally wrong meaning to say that... You may think your post is being that so interesting simply because you are the writer, creator or the poster and definitely you would always feel that your efforts and contributions is one of the best meanwhile there are lot of people that are more qualified than you are but yet they are not recognized.
That's just how life in a nutshell could be.

You would feel you are right and will never be right until you are right.

Though it almost got me díscouraged, however instead of being discouraged, I'm open to learning ways or how to get the Merits and grow on here, my questions are what I'm i doing wrongly? How can i improve it and also where is the best board to write on if i need these Merits coming?
OP, keep up to your grinding of helpful and quality posts here in the forum and then the merits would come from where your posts are deserved for it.
It could also be that some forum members who found your post interesting and feels it deserves to be merited does not have Sendable Merits to merit your post (s).

So just stay focus and learn about what you are primarily here for which is your acquiring and bitcoin and related courses of discussion.

its not always merit that is needed for you to grow in the community, making a good post, and topics are way to start, once those things are inline you don't need to worry about getting merits it will come naturally without you knowing, also learning things with others post simply adding up to you're growth, new members will immediately want to rank up so fast gathering merit as fast as they could, some people just want to learn because information in the forum are everywhere.
Exactly. Merits are not the sole basis of growth. You can grow in the forum if you consistently learn new insights and valuable ideas through reading and participating in such discussions. You grow in the forum if you have learned from the experiences of other forum members. And lastly, you grow in the forum when you are now able to create constructive and quality posts that you can already leave an impact to other members. If you are seeing these things in yourself, believe me those merits will eventually follow. Don’t chase for merits, but look forward for additional knowledge in the forum, that way merits will be raiser for you to achieve.
[/quote]

Indeed knowledge is the most vital part of our growth here in this forum, without the knowledge in the first place there is no growth in any form here in this forum. Then after which you have acquired the knowledge, the next thing is to start making good quality posts, and that alone would prove that you have acquired enough knowledge, though writing is a skill and we must know how to express ourselves to have a good communication and share our thoughts with others. And not every quality post gets merited, but when you have more quality posts, you stand a chance of getting at least 1/3 percentage of your posts merited.

Don’t be discouraged, but the answer to your first question is a simple one, which I will tell you: never downgrade yourself, so consider what you are doing wrong in order to know so that you can get merited. First, I will say you are not getting merit depending on your post pattern, which is one of the main things. If you could check your profile, you will see that you are not even up to effectively 2 months, so when you are patient, all you need will definitely come to you peacefully, so I will assure you that you are not doing anything wrong, but you need to continue the struggle and give yourself more time. If possible, you should engage in research that will help you answer more questions, and in the process, you might earn merit.

And again, you can be merited on any board as long as what you are writing is still on point, but when you limit yourself to other boards, you will be at the same point. That is why I say you should always do research so that you can spread your posts to other boards, but the main discussion is that you still need to learn and forget about how to get merit, because merit is luck no matter what you do, if without luck, no one will still merit you. So to me, I will say you should change your priorities on ways to get merit and focus because there is a lot to learn.

It shouldn't be a thing of concern to you because is not easily scaling through this forum but then merits shouldn't be your major target to me every place has what make them move so freely, what I am trying to say is that when you focuses more on self development then your growth comes immediate without the need to keep crying on growth or how to earn merits because your post must surely give you merits. You should also understand that people has their own ways of evaluating post, meaning what gives others credits might not give you any causing you not to gain any merit but you might think it doesn't count when someone who love your comes across it he might be triggered to give you merits but do not beg for it instead just keep posting naturally.

Achieving merits on a forum isn't overly complicated if you focus on meeting the expectations of fellow members. This entails consistently delivering high quality posts and engaging in meaningful discussions through comments. By adhering to these practices, you'll gradually notice merits flowing your way. Many newcomers struggle to advance their accounts because they fail to grasp concepts thoroughly before participating in discussions.Consequently, they often contribute content that lacks substance, making it challenging to attract merits. To truly enhance your account's rank, it's essential to take a step back, invest time in learning, and gain a solid understanding of various topics. Once equipped with this knowledge, you can actively participate in discussions, offering valuable insights and perspectives. As a result, you'll naturally accumulate merits and experience the satisfaction of seeing your account progress. Therefore, patience, dedication, and a willingness to learn are key ingredients for success in building merit on the forum.

You should first indicate your gender in your profile because people here don't like very much members trying to deceipt other members by lying or misleading people about their gender, especially men trying to show them as women. Some people are trying to do that, sometimes in order to get merits more quickly because there is way more men than women here, so they tend to encourage them to stay here, I'm not sure it always works though, but they think this way. So you should clarify this point first IMO

Well I have been where you are and I think the fault was actually from me because I focus all ma energy on trying to get merit instead of trying as much as possible to actually write and get involved in some discussion because that's the only way that you can acquire anything that will be helpful to you. Knowledge is power and what you don't know is very bigger than you so get involved in discussion by writing and not writing gibberish so that when a merit source or other members here come across your merit they can merit the work.
Everyone has experienced and felt that way before, but for me there’s only one way to make it happen, be more active in the forum and be serious in reading and understanding everyone’s shared concepts and insights. Eventually you will learn from their posts in time. And never limit your reading inside the forum but always find more reliable sources that can give you more relevant information. So that when time comes that you want to participate in discussion, you will have something valuable to share that will attract merit sources to share some of their merits, once they have seen meaningful posts made by you.

You are not doing the wrong thing. Merits serve as encouragement to every forum members that wants to grow in the forum, and merit will signify that you are a good and quality poster and not shitposter.

Looking for merits desperately is bad because it can lead you to copy and paste which is refers to as plagiarism; because when you are desperate, you will tend to copy people quality posts from internet and decided to share it here just for merits which is very bad as a beginner.

If you wants to grow in this forum, you need merits, but you can take it step by step through been active user and sharing your contributions and ideas in any reasonable discussion in the forum.
