I've been advised that as a newbie i shouldn't rush but to learn from old forum members and grow. But then, I've seen that for one to grow over here you need to get merited and on a regular basis, well i believe at this point i should've been able to acquire some merits, despite the fact that I'm still a Newbie but then i don't see the Merits coming, even after some post i felt could fetch the Merits. It makes me wonder if my posts are not Merit worthy or Quality enough.

Though it almost got me díscouraged, however instead of being discouraged, I'm open to learning ways or how to get the Merits and grow on here, my questions are what I'm i doing wrongly? How can i improve it and also where is the best board to write on if i need these Merits coming?

The person is right for saying that but he is not completely right. The reason why he advice you not rush is that you will probably want to take shortcut to learn things that might later hurt you later in the future like using AI to make posts because you don't understand anything about crypto, plagiarism other people's work because you have no idea about what was been discussed and what to reply, these will be find out later by some prominent members of the forum that hunt for people that violate these rules.

However, if you are a good and a fast learner, you should go beyond anything that is been taught you but make sure that you don't break any forum rules, learning and putting your reputation in line and doing your thing will cost you nothing in this forum and lastly, be a thick skin person here if you want to last and don't get emotional when someone attack you, that's why here is called a forum.

What is your purpose for registering on this forum? You don't even hide the fact that your goal is to get merit. Then I have a second question: why do you need merit and what do you know about it at all, since you want to get it so much?

The space is broad enough to grab the significance of doing the necessities of the system. You should be more concern with engagement of topics and also making improvements in posts made, all these attributes will contributes to the status of your accounts, though it will not just happen now because it takes lengthy time to hits. I know how painful and discouraging it can be for a newbie to grow accounts in Bitcointalk forum, however, the eligible quote to emphasize on when in the space is " No pain, No gain" this alone will make you push harder in the system.

Well I have been where you are and I think the fault was actually from me because I focus all ma energy on trying to get merit instead of trying as much as possible to actually write and get involved in some discussion because that's the only way that you can acquire anything that will be helpful to you. Knowledge is power and what you don't know is very bigger than you so get involved in discussion by writing and not writing gibberish so that when a merit source or other members here come across your merit they can merit the work.

If you have it in mind that you wants merit by all means, then it will be delayed.

If you learn and get more knowledge here, you will achieve your aim of learning in this forum, but if you are here for merits, then you need to tighten more and write quality posts.

My advice to you for now is to focus on learning and growing your bitcoin and cryptocurrency knowledge and make good contributions to the forum through answering some questions and sharing some important information about bitcoin and cryptocurrency to the forum.

There are users that have been in this forum for years, and they don’t have merits; some of them are here to learn whatever they wanted to learn and move, while some are here to spam the forum. But if you have target and you are dedicated to the community contributions, you don’t have to worry about merits because when it is time, you will get enough merits.
Keep calm, learn, and ask questions; merits will come.
You're absolutely right I think the mean reason why we are here is to share different ideals and thought, and also to know more about cryptocurrency. I know there are some people in this platform who has full knowledge about cryptocurrency, and also investment strategies, this are the things one really need to know before looking out to any other things.

It's not that people are not sharing merits; people are doing it, but for the posts that are worth meriting, or maybe all your posts that are worth meriting, nobody with merits has come across them, and that's why they're still unmerited. However, a lack of merits should not discourage you from your learning here. Keep it up. Merit will come. You are still a newcomer, and I can see that some of your posts are in the gambling section and the economy, including off-topic. You just started posting in the bitcoin discussion recently, and I think those three boards where you are active will not fetch you enough merit because there is a low distribution of merits in those boards.

So continue creating meaningful, educational, and helpful content for the community members, and your posts will be merited. Everyone you see here started like you, so don’t see someone with enough merit and think he got it easy. Work hard, and you will also achieve the same thing. Because as long as your post is on point, regardless of your rank, you will be merited.

Check other people's posts that got merited and learn everything possible to be able to create meaningful content. Just know that you are still learning, so putting merit in front of you will make you feel discouraged. Keep on learning, and you will earn merits. However, post on a board that suits your discussion, which will also give your post more recognition.

its not always merit that is needed for you to grow in the community, making a good post, and topics are way to start, once those things are inline you don't need to worry about getting merits it will come naturally without you knowing, also learning things with others post simply adding up to you're growth, new members will immediately want to rank up so fast gathering merit as fast as they could, some people just want to learn because information in the forum are everywhere.

My advice is to change your mindset about how to get Merit, because if your mindset is like that then you will not develop, there will only be despair. believe me, everyone on this forum all started from newbies, nothing is instant. You just need to keep reading and reading in order to gain extensive knowledge and insight later, when you understand and start to understand more about crypto, without you realizing it, you can already make quality posts by sharing information that is useful for other users, then Merit will come by itself.

The point is, don't focus too much on Merit, but focus on self-development so that it is useful for other users, and there are also several threads that give users the opportunity to review their posts by other users. If your post is quality they will give you Merit. Keep learning friends, don't give up and keep trying to contribute to this forum. I'm sure you will get Merit, as long as you change your mindset about this forum.
Exactly. We are not having a competition here that those who received early merits are better than the others, of course one should not think that way. Merits are earned, and that will only be given if you are deserving enough. By being deserving, I mean if you have reached the point that you become a model already to others and that majority have already been learning from your post and benefited them. I believe this is not hard to achieved if you focus on your self-growth and development.

The forum has got you everything. You only need to be more patient and more motivated to learn so that you will not get tired while you are in the process of learning and developing your best potentials in the forum.

If you get too bothered and carried away from the main aim of joining this forum and just want to focus on merits, you’ll spend longer time ranking up here than the expected them you might have assumed or set for yourself to be ranked up. You are a newbie with 24 activities and posts, I have seen some others who have more activities and post than you and still are not complaining about their rank. If you want to rank up, check the comments on others people’s account that where merited to get insights and understanding on how the meriting of posts works, just maybe you’ll understand better when making your next post on the forum.

Your posts don’t look that bad and you’ve only got two of your posts on off-topic discussion which when looked into averagely on your total number of posts, it’s still good. Asking on which board to post on to get merits is one kind of an improper question because even if you’re told a particular board, without having a knowledge of the discussion in that board, you’ll want to spam it with something that is different from the topic or expected reply of the discussion because you want to get some merits which doesn’t make any sense. You can get merits from any board if you engage in meaningful and informative discussions on that board, no exception of any board except those boards that their discussions are mainly of a rotary viewpoint.

A growth in this community is into two type but some people does not know because what they always focus on is someone who is earning merit why the knowledge will acquire and the reason why we are here is to learn the comprehensive relative of cryptocurrency entirely, many people today has ventured into cryptocurrency and don't understand the total concept of cryptocurrency so for you to grow you have to understand cryptocurrency.

But some people always think that growth in this community is by earning a merit why the purpose of here is to learn the technology and also share your own knowledge that will help to enhance the development of cryptocurrency... so for you to be recognized as someone who has acquired a knowledge widely of cryptocurrency especially Bitcoin you have to be a solution provider by being innovative and the milk some theories that has not been reviewed by any forum member... a quality post is one of the things that shows that you have learned and understand the system and with the gravity of your quality that will also help you to elevate for the forum by earning a merit through your knowledge impact to other people and also acquired from other people's knowledge

First of all, growing is not really going to depend on your merits since merits are just needed for you to rank up here in the forum, but still, the most important thing is you are learning here in the forum and gaining knowledge that you need on investing in Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency, etc. But if you are really aiming to increase your rank here there is no other way around it but to make a quality post, something that is going to be useful here in the community. I mean getting merit is still going to be a chance because it wasn't going to be guaranteed merit every time since you need other members to give you merit in order to get one that just means that you need to make them think that your post is commendable or merit worthy post, so that they would probably going to give you merits because of your quality post. I mean you could check most of the topics here in the forum that get a lot of merit and you could observe that most of these topics are useful topics, especially here in the forum, or some kind of tips or probably instructions, etc.

Still, I wouldn't really going to motivate you to actually aim for merits, You just continue your journey in the cryptocurrency space, and then in on way with that, you could use this forum as a guide and at the same time as you learn things on your way you could share as well most of the helpful things that you learn as well here in the forum, and for sure your going to rank up on your way as well, the same time as you learn and gain knowledge which I think is the best way to rank up here.

Go straight to the point in every topic you decide to discuss with. Focus on the relevant information that you want to relay, and spare off from those unnecessary information that will only make your post longer. While it’s never wrong to create longer post, but forum members will always find it more readable if the post is only short but precise, compared to longer post because admit it or not, it’s so tiring even just by looking a long post ahead.

And lastly, don’t be obsessed with getting merits. You will eventually reach that point once people have seen confidence in your posts. Focus on acquiring knowledge and reliable information, and never stop learning from those reputable members in the forum.
It's a bit contradictory to say it's never wrong to make long posts and then to assert it's boring and tiring for other people to read them. Forums are a place whose purpose is to exchange and to communicate with people about one topic. So the way of communicating and expressing yourself is very important and certainly the most important thing. It's ok to be a layman, to not have relevent content and informations to share, and to want to learn from other people, but your communication should always be efficient and smooth, in order to respect other users.

When I first came to this forum, I was just trying to provide something useful for others. I started with local threads so that it was easier for me to give my best writing. I also saw some senior members who continue to inspire me today. Maybe you can also do like me. The best thing is to keep reading to gain knowledge whether in the forum or otherwise. So that your knowledge increases and can share with other users. It's not easy, but I'm sure if you work really hard then it will be easy.

I don't think you are doing anything wrong. I get that merits seem cool, but don't let them distract you.  This place is for gaining knowledge first and  if you try too hard to earn merits, you'll just get annoyed.  Instead, share ideas that fascinate you or ask thoughtful questions.  Comment when you truly have something meaningful to add to the conversation.  Merits aren't supposed to be handed out freely - theyre for real value.  But don't write just for the merits either.  Write because you care.  If you do that the merits will come in time.

You do not need to chase too much with the merit, try to make yourself things up about getting a quality post if you think you are still enough to have it try to observe how higher merit counts received their post, their posting habit, and their contribution by that you can get a knowledge and strategy to gain merit, keep learning and contribute the knowledge do you have those can be key to gain merits, you focus too much in earning merit which is not because you can receive this over time once people see your contents helps a lot.

Sometimes when you focused too much on earning merits, they will never come, reason being that your posting pattern might not be as natural and a representation of who you are. This is the problem many people have growing in the forum, I faced similar problems too. My account was registered long time ago, but when I imagined the huddle I have to go through to grow the account in terms of earning merits, I was discouraged so I ran away for a long time. But somehow I find my self back to the forum as an observer, never knowing what to post to impress people. It was after a while I realized that the best way to grow in the forum was to be myself and feel free to join conversation based on my level of knowledge, not struggling to impress anyone but sharing my knowledge and asking relevant questions, not forgetting the rules of the forum. This was when the merits started coming effortlessly. So you see, you are not alone, many of us passed through that same long process of confusion and frustration but perseverance will help you over come.

it's a little tricky to get merit, because it doesn't just require a good post, but also how you convey it or how you can provide the best solution to a problem clearly and easily understood. or if you feel that your post is quality and should get merit, you can bring the post to your local board, usually there will be seniors who give merit for quality posts, you should be able to find the thread easily.

so don't immediately give up when you don't get merit, because there are many opportunities you can get to get merit. just focus on developing your account.

I have quickly look at your posts and I think you should avoid to post in sections widely spammed such as the gambling section if you want to receive merits and add some links or pictures to your posts more oftentimes. In addition you should increase the typography and the formating of your text, especially when your post is long because people won't read it in full if it doesn't look appealing.
