If I personally prefer coin NXT if for a long hold, because the current coin is experiencing a price reduction and I am sure sooner or later the coin will be stable again its price. But it's up to you want to invest into altcoin which, because it is a lot of altcoin at this time, can be adjusted with the funds you have.

Hodl is a big scam in cryptomarket...i have seen my big profit going away in front of my eyes due to this hodl..best strategy in this market is playing smart...locking your profit in whenever you see the opportunity..dont wait for it to rise more and always keep a backup plan(coin which you want to hold)...

also you can invest 20-40% in waves decent and ltc

There are lots of good altcoins for long-term investments like waves, ignis, TEN, and ETH but from all altcoin. I like ETH because most ico now pay for it using ETH, it's definitely more potential than other altcoin.

I think if you want to hold for a long term. You had better to hold btc and eth. They are the most reliable and promising coins. So I suggest you to hold them.

Ethereum and Maidsafe are the coins that I would invest in since they are in the process of development. People don't want to invest while feeling that the coin is just there for the devs trying to make their money.

a lot of altcoins that can be resisted with the long run then you can invest in a promising altcoin and so you can benefit from one of your altcoins, if you want to hold a good altcoin for a long time let alone you marry you can holding bitcoin and Ethereum because these two coins are very promising in the future
