Many people can talk about financial freedom in different ways. One person's perspective may be different but the main point remains the same is to have enough money. A man is financially independent if he has enough supply of money according to his wants and needs. Some people think that a person is financially independent if he is able to meet all his expenses normally after suddenly losing his ability to work. But in my case I need money with which I can do whatever I want within my limits. But I wouldn't say I need a lot of money to be financially independent. I am financially independent if I have enough money to cover my regular expenses.it lies the fact that sometimes we have our own definition of this financial freedom concept. but imo, as long as you can cover your basic expenses plus a lil bit more, no debt, that's more than enough to say, you are financially stable or independent.
those people who are being consumed by luxury or material things, will soon find out real fast that they will be in deep debt from these financial companies. you don't need to jump on the bandwagon because of peer pressure or to be relevant with people around you. if you will live within your means without trying hard to impress anyone, you will feel more content with yourself.

People are not on the same level financially, so this should not be too surprising. The salary that someone is okay with receiving is same amount of money someone somewhere gives out to charity, or spends partying, all fingers will never be equal.For the person in the story who was surprised seeing what he earns on a perfume bottle, he should take it as a motivation to try to earn more and not something depressing.
In this life, you only get the things you want, and will get more if you want more. It is possible to earn whatever salary you deserve if you work for it. People who are earning the minimum wage and even less, and are okay with what they earn will never earn more. If they want more and work to that target, they will get more. This is why people should always set high target for themselves in life, and never get too content with their position in life that they stop thriving to be better and do better.

While to others financial freedom means having a large starched cash available for their daily spending, this has made up for their definitions of financial freedom, but those with this line of thoughts, are those that are in the category of people that inherited wealth such as family money, and gifted, those in the class doesn't have the knowledge to invest and grow the money, but the goal is to keep spending the money at every given opportunity.
We have also those in the category of the lower grade of mental alertness as far as money is concerned, these are those who are looking for quick money and high profits, and those in this category are always victims of scams.

The truth is that no matter how big you think you are earning, there are people spending such amount on a menial value things and you just have to deal with it and continue leaving your life in your own standard. However, we should know that financial freedom is not just about having lots of money but It's all about having a healthy relationship with money. Financial freedom can mean different things to different people but I think it generally refers to having enough money to live comfortably without worrying about meeting basic needs. That is, when you have enough money to take care of yourself in case of an emergency or unexpected event without having to worry about it. This include things like having enough money to cover rent, food, healthcare, and other basic living expenses.
Financial freedom is a condition where you have enough and no financial difficulties. You can buy what you want without having to wait. But financial freedom is the moment when you have achieved stability in your financial condition. Maybe we already have a passive income, so we don't think about finances because we can earn money steadily.

I am not surprised at this because no matter the amount you think you make to some people it’s just peanuts. We cannot all make the same amount of salary because we don’t work the same job. I have seen someone buying a shoe with double the amount i earn but i still manage to survive on that same amount. What you earn will determine how you spend money and things you splash money on. Financial freedom is to be able to acquire anything of your choice at a particular time of need without actually having to worry of the cost. You will have to own a huge amount of money to be able to achieve this though financial freedom is not always about luxury, some people can be at a state of financial freedom any luxurious property not that they can’t afford them but just that they don’t want to. Some people prefer living a low key lifestyle which is probably because they are not social and don’t fancy such lifestyle. To me, I will choose the second one. Yeah, a sad truth. Someone sees their salary from others' small bills while we don't know how huge they have their paychecks. I've been there in the past and thought about how these people manage to reach those high salaries. Like a kid thinking of how he's going to get his desired toy displayed in the toy store. I guess that curiosity of mine helped me to figure out that it's not just all about the good job and salary they get but also how you like what you do, the passion should be there. Some people are just working paycheck to paycheck, others work with high salaries but don't like what they do. While some, earn exactly what they need to bring food to the table and make ends meet but like what they're doing. I think everyone is facing any of that situation but we can be at the best shape of our careers and business if we work smart and hard on it.
While the people that have managed to get the work-life balance standing and earning decently and way above the standard. They have figured out their worth and managed to negotiate their expectations and salary to their interviews and from there, it starts to freedom through finance because they're able to buy things they desire. And the idea of being financially free starts from there as they've got more money to allot from things to things like investments and assets.
First it's success then financial freedom. A person's needs will depend on his income. One earns $10 a week while another earns $200. In that case both will have financial freedom but different. Earnings are basically a part of success. So success is very much the result of the right mix of personal preference, circumstances, and hard work. It's the process of deciding how you live your life and what decisions you make can be different for different people. If you want success, first set your goals. Financial freedom actually talks about a situation where a person can actually afford anything he wants without going bankrupt or his finance being affected. So it's basically about you getting anything you want at your own will and still having enough savings.
Talking about your salary and how somebody used it to buy a single perfume, you must understand that the society is made up of different persons, those that have more than enough, those that just have, and those that don't have. So as an individual you can fall into any of these three categories listed, that is why you will see people that can actually use your salary to get a single perfume without it affecting their finances, because they have more than enough, hence they are financially capable.
I used to think the same way. Mind you I still get paid in peanuts today but the difference from then and now is that I have a sizable bitcoin investment that I know would carry me should things go south, but I digress. The thing is that a lot of people are so used to comparing apples and oranges. Yeah, that's the world we are living in... and is there anything that can be done about that? Of course, the answer is no, nothing can be done about that... it's the system we are living in. I don't even know why this is shocking to our OP, because I have seen prices of various drinks with alcohol content, and a fish dish prepared just for immediate consumption, cost as much as said. The life ain't same to everyone, what some consider as blessings, like a job, to others, it might just be bills on the go.

There is a common theme that "afflicts" people who chase money, which is they can bring up their spending habits to match their salary if they are not careful. There is a whole spectrum of items for sale out there, you talk about perfume but the same thing applies to almost every object you can imagine - shoes, cars, watches, food and everything else. The way you phrase the question is a bit weird, because both sides of your question ask the same thing. However ultimately you can get a certain number in your bank account but unless you know how to use it in future, it can very easily leak away to become zero again. There are rich families that over generations have seen great grand kids finally fritter away the remnants of huge fortunes because they were frivolous.
