Personally i think Ethereum is much better than bitcoin, all smart contract are working in the ethereum blockchain, Ethereum is making all the great work that btc is not doing. The only bad thing are the ethereum network fee

For me, eth is the best alternative coin which hold its position next to bitcoin. Eth itself did the primary significantly change in crypto world, suitable for long and short trading and it lead biggest number of altcoins. but there are few but critical Problem with eth, those Should be fixed earlier. Otherwise many strong competitors like bnb, polkadot already come in crypto world to fight for next ether.

In my opinion you are right, bitcoin is not developing now, we all know it as the first crypto and as crypto with the biggest market cap, but ethereum is completely another thing, A lot of defi projects appear there, and now we all wait for launch of Ethereum 2.0.

Developers try to improve their product and it is noticeable and very valuable.

Yes I agree.
More than 350% price movement so far this year, Ethereum has the second largest market cap after Bitcoin, but not as much as Cache and perhaps more operational challenges that could prevent it from beating its main rival.

I don't believe I'll ever see that happen in my life. The most likely possibility is that there is a low chance that ETH can surpass bitcoin, even if bitcoin does not need a leadership team, it will change the hash rate on its own. Lol, bitcoin will continue to be strong and what I expect to see in my lifetime is bitcoin going to be 500k - $1 million.

I don't think so. even I thought it was impossible. I think a few years later ETH will have a strong rival and will even be able to compete with ETH. like BNB today. it would seriously threaten the existence of ETH at this time. I'm sure one day many people will go to BNB and leave ETH

Maybe what we can observe at this time is only a solution to the problem that ETH is facing, because if ETH wants to overtake Bitcoin, the first step is to overcome the cost problem so that investors who decide to stop using ETH can return to taking positions in it, if the problem has been resolved, ETH will growing rapidly and at least narrowing the gap from Bitcoin.

3 years ago Ethereum was a good performer and quite popular because this was an era we had ICOs which were booming, and you wouldn't talk about them without mentioning Ethereum the smart contract coin.

But 3 years later Eth is still a good performer in its niche of specialization but I think it has se strong competition from BSC which does everything better, has cheaper tx fees , shorter block times etc though it comes short on liquidity which is why eth is still number 2.

I agree with that.eth is a pretty stable coin and has good prospects too. That's why many people love eth after BTC. I myself like eth and am trying to invest in eth and I hope it will be profitable. Was wondering the same thing. We know that there are many competitor coins to ETH like BSC, ADA etc and nothing came closer to the real ETH because solving scalability issues isn't as simple.

Yes, as it stands today, ETH is not only the second largest currency but the most used crypto and with Serenity under development ETH will come closer to hitting head to head with BTC if Serenity will be implemented as per design.

Well, if you think about it, it has been what? 3 years since this post, and Ethereum is still the 2nd best crypto. No wonder many of us still use this and still invest on this coin than any other coin out there. You may try to put your investments elsewhere but I do not think there would be another good crypto out there that would compete with Ethereum, except of course Bitcoin. All my colleagues when we talk about crypto they always say that Bitcoin and Ethereum are the only worthy investments and nothing more. Of course I do have some in others but they are small compared to Ethereum.

Well it has been 11 years and we have seen the resilience of Ethereum in the crypto market. The only problem right now is that those who new with Ether are being turned off by the expensive fees that one has to pay for every transaction. If that is not resolved then I am afraid that Ethereum will not have enough influence to those who want to start with cryptocurrency and will choose other coins that has lower transaction fees. But still, my outlook for ethereum would be very high.
