Usually only newbies who lack knowledge and do not have experience make the decision to sell their assets, when they saw their assets drop
very far. That's because they panic and fear losing all the assets they have. In fact, if we study crypto properly, there is no need to worry when
we see our asset estimates decline. Moreover, the assets we have are potential coins, so no matter how deep the market goes down, it will
definitely recover. This is why it is important to first learn about the crypto world before deciding to invest in crypto. In order to at least understand
how crypto works, so we can be more patient when we know our assets are going down.

Most at time it is very hard to endure the situation out there, seeing that your asset is going down day by day without increased or multiplications so as a holder you will be threaten to sell to secure your funds but what i did you was to trade with it and have little increase on the volume of my asset.
When there is a significant decline, beginners will usually panic and doubt whether to keep the altcoin or sell it at a low price, usually if the altcoin held continues to decline some people will definitely do a Cut Loss to avoid bigger losses and that's why choosing the right altcoin investing is the main reason we need to do before investing, doing research before investing is what we need to do to avoid altcoins that are indeed free-falling in the market without the possibility of price strengthening again.

There's was a saying that you buy when others are in panic mode, that means you have the opportunity to buy an undervalued price because the weak hands panic, and these are the people who bought during the bull run or those who bought at peak not thinking of a price correction.

Neither Bear nor Bull the market is moving sideways or we can say correction phase. The market is quite messy and honestly speaking it is hard to decide where the market will move in the coming days. Most of the holders are running in loss if they sell off at the current price. Altcoins are more bleeding than BTC. I would say keep your coins as it is that would be the best option in the current market.
Just trust the process, the market is now bearish because it has to correct, and the more it will stay stable, the better because it could be the end of correction, and sooner we will see a bull run again. If you are tempted to sell that is not on your plan, then you made the wrong decision because most likely you just panic.

That's quite inevitable, I mean who doesn't worry when your portfolio is down 60%. This is the reason why you need to have your due diligence before putting your money into something.
The worst thing to do during correction is selling to cut further losses even if it means you're not actually profiting from it.
It is very important to research those coins you have invested If it has a potential recovery or not. Look at the historical data, charts, and fundamentals.
You have mentioned most of your coins is composed with BTC and BNB. Well, that means you don't need nothing to worry, don't sell it otherwise you'll regret.

I understand that feeling when you look at your wallet only find that all of your asset have done -90%. There's that temptation to sell off, but of course that will be a very wrong decision.

-90% loss means you have invested into very bad projects, some also call such projects shitcoins, and it means you did not do your job to do research about the project you invested in. Compared to Bitcoin or Ethereum, which is currently only around 40% away from the all-time high, 90% loss means the coin is almost worthless.

The market has been in dire straits for several months now due to the BTC dump but in the current scenario it has moved upwards for some time.  In this situation it is seen that there is a possibility of dumping again so by selling some tokens in the next case when the market will be in a down position.
Now the market is in a dump again even though it is not too big and if you think about selling some of the existing assets, I think it is very wrong because selling in a dump position is a detrimental thing and is not a real target for everyone in the space crypto now

Hello mate
Do we currently calls the market situation the bear or what?
Today I just opened my storage where i buy and stored most of my crypto coin and the rest I noticed have almost lost 60% of all my asset in dollars so I was tempted to sell off all and take a look at the market to know if there will be corrections, though I have been monitoring the market but I m not really convinced so I decided to share here to know whether I could get some people who  knows about the market to give a little breakdown before I go into such decisions.
I will really appreciate then i can know the reason for such action and decrease in most of the currencies especially BTC and BNB.

Thank you.

I will read all comments to see the reason.

Honestly without knowing which coins it will be tough to Guage what you should do.  Some alts are worth holding.  But I'd say for the most part we are sliding into a bear market and alts haven't been stripped down down.  They taken some falls sure since November but the bottom definitely isn't in.  The economies effects haven't hit the crypto yet but once housing starts diving things will start to spiral and people will be forced to exit positions in frivolous altcoins to cover real world stuff.  I wouldn't hold too much.

The conflict in Ukraine and also the pressure received by Russia from western countries makes the current market conditions quite difficult to predict, the price increases that have occurred in the last few days, I think the impact of the decline in the value of the ruble due  American sanctions on Russia, so that Russian citizens are busy buy bitcoins to secure their wealth, but if the war continues it will certainly affect the price in the market again so this makes me a little hesitant to enter the market today, and prefer to wait for the geopolitical conditions between ukraine and russia to subside a bit.
Yes, indirectly, indeed, with the war, the market is really unstable and we will not know what will happen in the future,
if it's true that the war will continue and last a long time then it will present a greater risk,
hopefully in the near future there will be good news about both sides between Russia and Ukraine to end this war
If the war continues for a long time, that means more sanctions for Russians and that means worse economical conditions for the everyday Russians. The whole economy may or may not get impacted, but individuals will definitely have a bad time, even if they are wealthy. We saw the results with more and more Russians buying crypto as well and that is very important for our future.

So, if the war continues then we are going to see crypto prices soaring a lot more. I believe that even if the war ends, we are going to see a lot better results for sure. That's the type of deal we have in crypto, we are going up one way or another unless manipulation happens.

Why would sell on loss?

This simply could be answered with these questions?
Are you in need of money? If YES, then sell it out , If NO then better hold it off.

You wouldnt know on when those pumps would happen but this would really be needing off that extreme patience of yours.Keep holding specially you do have
BTC and BNB which is known to be one of the best coins in the market and wouldnt really be having any doubts.
Selling off maybe part of your strategy but make sure you know the right timing to sell. Sell them not to create losses but profits. However, if you think that their value have been constant for years and have stayed in a low value, i guess selling off is not that bad provided that you'll buy back good and potential coins. The market is still moving in a correction so we should always be responsible whatever moves we intend to do.

Hello mate
Do we currently calls the market situation the bear or what?

I think initially we entered a bear market from December 2021 until now.
However, if I look more closely, bitcoin has stabilized and stopped moving at $44k, making some altcoins go up.
there are two market possibilities at the moment, if the bear market has subsided or
the market is indeed trying to grow better (but it won't be a sudden bull run).
I can't say for sure what condition we are in, but the most important thing for those of us who
trade here is to try our best to stay profitable by entering at the right time and leaving at the right time.

And that's not an easy task. Timing is very important and those who have better experience have a good edge from newcomers. The market is unpredictable and even we have seen a good market rise eventually that will be replaced by another fall. It's you as the investor/trader who needs to create your own direction while working in this kind of market.

Anticipate and make sure to have a concrete plan before you jump in to any possible decision making. It's tough, but it's beneficial
not to rush things up, but instead, do your research to enhance your chance.
Selling off your altcoins is as good as clearing your portfolio with less valuable coins, and you have to decide that on your own. There's always a right timing to do that and if you think now is the right time to sell due to market uncertainties, then go on but don't forget to buy back those promising coins like bitcoin and ethereum as they have more potentials to give you excellent profits in the future. Focus on the future of your investments as you are not investing only for short term but throughout its long term duration.

I almost did the same as well as I was losing money. I later decides to be calm about it as I believe in the projects are I  am invested in. There is popular sayings that says, you never lose until you sell. What that means is that positioning is very important, you don't get out of important price position just because of market volatility. When the bull market comes, if you are out of position, you will lose out!

Do not sell Altcoins that you hold. continue to hold until the market situation changes. During this time the market tends to have a rapid reversal due to several things that are happening right now , such as the war which has an impact on traders' concerns, my portfolio has also become negative lately as you are experiencing.  but if we hold altcoins with strong fundamentals I don't think there is anything to worry about, it's time to hope that the war between russia and ukraine will stop and the market situation will become bullish immediately.
What the OP sees is already green, now if he wait for a change, the green that he see can turn to red. For me, a 60% increase is already a lot and he should sell now or he would regret it. We don't know if when the market will return again once it goes to the bottom but I think it will take a long time.

Wars have bring a negative impact to some things but maybe not in crypto but this war makes the crypto even more popular. Sometimes being tempted can also be a good decision especially if we are more on profit but being tempted only becomes bad if your profit is too low yet or if your already at a loss and wants to stop the further loss.

In this situation it maybe difficult to predict whether it will continue to fall and lose momentum to sell, or will it go up and when you sell all your assets you will lose more than before. We maybe in a bear market that many experts will last a long time predict it but anything can happen quickly.
true, in a situation like this many people are confused between selling or holding because the current market conditions are very difficult to predict. many people say that the bear market that occurred was also caused by the conflict that occurred in ukraine and until now the conditions in ukraine are still unclear. but on the other hand the last few days there has been a fairly high price increase but no one knows whether the price increase is a sign that the bear market is over or just a temporary price increase.

After the rise, there is a fall in the market. Then will be rise again. But in the long term perspective cryptocurrency market rise. So it is better not to hurry and not to sell assets.
It is impossible to stop technology and development.
Now appear projects that use artificial intelligence for development and to create better tools like this https://twitter.com/PredictVision/status/1496833642714312707

Bitcoin rise because the economic situation in the world is unstable and people prefer to buy cryptocurrency.
More and more people prefer to use cryptocurrency and make investments in cryptocurrency.
A lot of new projects appear. So investors now have a big choice.

All altcoins are different. A lot of depends on practical use of cryptocurrency.
It is very important to check everything about projects to evaluate its prospects in future not to lose money on investment.
