We are already in a bear market, keeping money is essential now.
Well I did not see we are in the bear market, we are really on that stage right now?
Anyway, selling any of your cryptos when the market has a correction is a bad idea, just wait for it when it will be plunged again in the market, and if the current war of two countries was been a reason for this sudden dump it could be not the main factor of the sudden dump. That is not a world war and it is impossible to happen, other allied countries know that there will be an economic crisis when then there is a war.
However, if OP means selling his altcoins and reinvest in bitcoin is a good idea.

It may not be wise to sell off now. You could've done it 2 or 3 months ago but now with this bear market, all you could do is keep it or save yourself from losing more if you feel like there is no future for it. Because there is really no telling where all of this would go.
IMHO, the higher chance of bouncing back up is higher than falling all the way. This is how Bitcoin runs and history is the proof of it. It goes up at a surprising level then it corrects at where it should really be after a hype. At the end of the day, it's still your decision.
Unfortunately there are still some people who think that the war could cause it to go down even more. I mean the part where the war could continue for weeks is true, I am not expecting it to be over right away, there will be a lot of people who will end up with something a lot less at the end of this war and they could be worried.

Do not consider the whole market selling because they are afraid of what the war could bring, there are also a lot of people who needs the money as well and that is the biggest problem. Think about that in the long run and all the people who will keep needing money will sell. All the people who works with Russia or Ukraine could be getting less money and need to sell their coins.

well, it's not just your assets that have fallen so deep, in fact almost everyone holding crypto will have the same result. personally, I even fell more than 60% of the assets I held. however, beforehand, I had prepared myself with this. So, I will either hold it until the price pushes my asset back above 50% returns, or wait for it to become completely worthless. however, before investing, I was prepared with it.

Hello mate
Do we currently calls the market situation the bear or what?
Today I just opened my storage where i buy and stored most of my crypto coin and the rest I noticed have almost lost 60% of all my asset in dollars so I was tempted to sell off all and take a look at the market to know if there will be corrections, though I have been monitoring the market but I m not really convinced so I decided to share here to know whether I could get some people who  knows about the market to give a little breakdown before I go into such decisions.
I will really appreciate then i can know the reason for such action and decrease in most of the currencies especially BTC and BNB.

Thank you.

I will read all comments to see the reason.
Didn't you invest what you were able to afford to lose? Then why are you worried about the 60% drop of your assets? You shouldn't sell (unless you really need the money, but then again, you shouldn't have invested those money in the first place) anything. Keep holding until the bear market ends. Look at the charts and you will see that market crash like these happens, but eventually the price starts to recover again. As long as you aren't holding some shitcoins, you are fine. If those are some shitcoins, sell as soon as you can.

There is no detailed information about the current market situation.
i still hold coins from the portfolio i have, -80% and i'm just sitting quietly waiting for the bullrun to come, for now i don't expect much increase as many unpredictable situations have happened.
I'm just waiting for the Bitcoin Halving and it will pump up the price again.

The war between Russia and Ukraine has caused panic in the stock and crypto financial markets. You should not sell altcoins at this time, I think you should wait patiently. Wait for short-term market rallies and you might consider selling your altcoins before the market continued to plunge. We are already in a bear market, keeping money is essential now.

Dont sell at loss. We might be in bear market at the moment but its only a temporary situation. Dont think you lose your altcoins for decreasing so much (in value) but when the market recover, your alts will also bounce back.

However this is only applicable in coins that has potential and not shitcoins. Hence if you're holding an established coins that are likely to recover, keep holding and have patience.

Its quite normal to worry because we dont know what lies ahead. So the decision will depend on how confident you are with your altcoins.

Don't rush to sell because you see the market is bearish, especially when you know that you will lose about 60% of your assets, you better trade it with Stablecoins which always have a stable price despite negative sentiment.

The good news today is that the market is back in the green for almost all coins, maybe you should reconsider.

Do not. Just be patient for a few more moments. The market price does not support you to make a profit when you sell the current asset. 60% of the assets you say are close to losing, when you are willing to be patient for a while longer, then you will definitely get 60% profits. Rest assured my friend.

From other telegram group i joined they said BTC is likely to get to $29k and you know what will happened to altcoin as well? As it is always said Bitcoin remains the market propellers meaning if bitcoin goes so down then i lost 70% to 80%.
Well i will watch for only today to see how the trend goes before taking any decision at the moment.

Thank for sharing your thoughts more comments are still welcomed
Decreases don't always happen, there will definitely be increases. So far the graph goes zig zag. I'm sure you know how the cycle goes.
If you believe in selling for fear of losing a large percentage of crypto assets, then please make a decision. For me, it would be a big loss if the current market conditions chose to sell.

It's still unknown but everyone could tell that we're likely in a bear period. By how the market looks right now, that's how it is. And with the war that's also happening, this is making everyone panic that it may affect the market despite the differences of it from the casual market that we're with.
If you're going to sell at 60% loss and put that into bitcoin, that's the biggest chance that you might recover but in an unknown period of time. You should be open of being long on it if done.

There are actually lots of events that affect the situation of the market and there's a possibility that it could drop even more in the coming days. It's fine if you feel tempted to sell your coins. Other holdings are also doubting right now but as for me, it wouldn't be the best time to feel scared of the dip because the market will still recover no matter what. As long as you're holding potential coins, you shouldn't give up and surrender during the dip.

It is normal if you are tempted to sell your coins, but if you sell your coins, you will incur a huge loss because the market position is currently falling drastically. Maybe you don't need to look at your wallet and just leave your coins there while you can wait for the market to recover. Currently, the market is in a downtrend, and we can only wait, but you can buy bitcoins or altcoins, which may rise again later.

Selling at 60% loss is worst decision, whether you have to wait until the price recover or accept the loss and move on. If we are talking about Bitcoin I will definitely say keep holding but we are talking about altcoins in general so it really depends on the coins in your portfolio, if you don't see any future in that coin then better secure the remaining 40% capital.

There is a huge selloff going on! Panic never makes sense when it comes to investments. However, you made a wise decision by selling off. There is strength for USD against everything. Safety assets outperform. Bitcoin drops. Bitcoin is the great inflation hedge. Safe haven assets are the opposite. I'm not sure how much more it would decline based on what happens over the next few hours. Nevertheless, wealth does not disappear; it simply shifts. It is in your hands to decide whether you have a good hand or not.

I myself am holding some crypto after many years of investing, and I have yet to suffer a heavy loss. Although the past time is not gone well, I am personally very optimistic and believe in my choices. I've seen a lot of trends happening that attract newbies to the market, but I'm personally always skeptical and look at facts rather than hype, so I'm always optimistic about what's going on and do not be greedy in the face of attractive offers of profit, but with too many risks.

IMO, I believe that no matter what happens it's your own call to do anything with your own crypto holdings and if you want to sell it at loss then let it be, but just remember that the concept of holding is to endure everything that might happen in the market and just keep believing that one day the market will be good enough to generate some profit through your crypto holdings but also consider that not all cryptocurrencies will survive if the next crypto winter will arrive just like the magnitude of 2018-2019 respectively so just be wise and made up your mind. whether you sell and save the remaining part of your investments or hold all the way for the next bull season it's your own decision to make and good luck!

don't panic when you see current market conditions because conditions like this have repeatedly happened in cryptocurrencies, but you have to look at the assets you have, do they have strong fundamentals to be able to increase in the future?? because not all altcoins can survive in these market conditions. the important thing is not to panic because everything will return to normal in time and the BULLRUN will definitely come back.

As always, bull run will come back but we never know when it will exactly come back.

With the global crisis now particularly the attact of Russia to Ukraine, I think this will create some panic and crypto will temporarily be affected. This is the time for us to hold and don't follow the market sentiment, it may dump but consider buying the dip as it's always the right strategy in situation like this.
Currently our patience is being tested with market conditions that continue to decline due to the influence of the latest news regarding the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, and this news greatly affects the movement of cryptocurrencies, so don't panic and stay calm.
but we don't need to relate it to any news because this is where we are tested to still have faith in crypto to stay strong and believe that a bull run will definitely happen even though we have to wait a long time, and the best choice in the current situation is Hodl. or take every drop of it to buy it gradually and hold it for the long term because anything affecting crypto will pass.

If you lost 60% of your portfolio in dollars, that must mean you either invested in real shitcoins or pretty much at the peak of the rally. Both are bad. And unfortunately, that's how it is for many who got caught up in the fomo and were still investing when many experienced investors had already secured their profits long ago. I can only advise you to wait until a bottom is reached. At the moment, there are too many crises, whether Russia-Ukraine or monetary policy. After that, I would get back in and try to make up for the losses. But you must not forget that 60% loss means that you have to make about 120% profits to make up for this loss.
