It was a crucial match for Bangladesh, and they managed to win with a good run rate, which keeps them in the tournament. Afghanistan already in back-foot, and right now in a tough position. Also their there's a narrow chance of staying in the event. They'll need something close to a miracle in the next game against Sri Lanka to have a chance at progressing.

Bangladesh have already qualified for the Asia Cup Super Four after defeating Afghanistan by 89 runs in the second match. Many may wonder how Bangladesh secured the next round from the number two position in the points table where Sri Lanka have already won the first match and are above Bangladesh in terms of net run rate, there are definitely some equations in this case.

If Afghanistan can beat Sri Lanka by 50 to 70 runs in the next match, Bangladesh will move to number one in the points table and Sri Lanka will move to number two in the points table because of the loss of the match against Afghanistan, Sri Lanka's net run rate will decrease due to which Bangladesh's net run rate will decrease compared to Afghanistan.
On top of that, if Afghanistan can beat Sri Lanka by a huge margin or a miracle happens in the match then Afghanistan will have a chance to advance to the next round while Sri Lanka will be disqualified for the next round. Now the battle is only between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka, Bangladesh is in a good place at the moment.

Nepal started well and at one point they were having a run rate of 6 and above. Thanks to Shardul Thakur the opening partnership was broken and now the run rate is below 6. I was not expecting that Nepal would have such a good start. It depends now whether the middle order would be able to maintain the currenct run rate and form a partnership. Indian seamers are not looking that good as expected from them. I want Nepal to give a decent target so that the Indian batters like Rohit, Kohli and Gill are able to regain their confidence by playing a good innings in this match.

Great batting by Bangladesh in yesterdays match. This is how you should bat and really it was a good comeback by the Bangladesh batters against Afghanistan. Their bowlers were out ideas to beat the Bangladeshi batters. It is not easy for any time to chase a target which is beyond 300 runs.

Agreed, even if Bangladesh loses today's match, nothing can be done. They perform well. However, looking at Afghanistan's batting performance, it seems that Bangladesh's bowling is not working very well. They started the game with a target of 334 and so far they have lost only 3 wickets and currently their number of runs is 159 by 32 overs play. Afghanistan's position is pretty good now, if they can play like this for some more over then it won't cost much to collect these remaining runs. Ibrahim Zadran has batted well for Afghanistan and currently Hashmatullah Shahidi is also batting well. If the wicket is in hand, they can take this match under their control. The state of play will gradually become clear. Both parties are trying to get the win.

An amazing display of batting performance by the Bangladesh team they set a big target of 335 runs in 50 overs for Afghanistan. Bangladeshi batters especially Najmul Hossain Shanto played good innings of 104 runs in just 105 balls with Mehidy Hasan also a brilliant century scoring 112 runs in 119 balls and helping to score a big target of 300 plus for Afghanistan. Bangladesh registered their third highest total in ODI with 334 runs on the board and Afghanistan will be forced to keep the same momentum and strike hard to chase down this total and my prediction is that they would loose wickets trying to keep up with the run rate and they end up loosing big.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Najmul Hossain Shanto scored centuries each and Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim finished off in style.

Yes, in yesterday match Shaheen Shah Afridi bowling performance was unbelievable. What a big disappointment, the first match between India and Pakistan this year getting abandoned due to rain. Indian team batting order destroyed by Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf. Pakistan spinners were in effective yesterday and the fielding was bad. Of course there were some incredible catches which cannot be ignored. Ishan Kishan aggressive batting was the best thing yesterday, Hardik Pandya gave him good support on the other side. The next match will be played against India and Nepal. I do not think India will face any issue against a weak Nepal team, if rain does not disrupt the match.

The match ended without any result and I would say both teams are in a position to win this game. India recoverd nicely after losing early wickets due to 138 runs partnerships between Ishan and Pandya.
Pakistan were not able to capitalise the early advantage they gained. Pakistan are not good chasers and 266 runs were not easy to chase on a wet outfield. Both teams have qualified for next round due to this draw.
