What a brilliant innings by the Indian Captain. He played the 50 over match like T20. Yesterday’s knock broke many records. Rohit became the highest six hitter of the world, fastest player to cross 1000 runs in world cup. Most number of hundreds in world cup and fastest world cup century for India. What a player he is, it was really great to see him, hitting these high sixes. Now regarding Subhman Gill, then he is still doubtful to play against Pakistan, as he is not completely fit and he hasn’t left Chennai. Let’s hope for the best.

I am a bit disturbed by the fact that almost all the matches so far in this tournament have been one-sided. Even the matches between pig-4 teams are getting lop-sided. Examples are the opening match between England and New Zealand, as well as the match between Australia and India. The ODI format is already on backfoot due to competition from T20. If the matches become one-sided, then in the long term fan interest will be lost. I am not sure about the future of the ODI format, and the future of the ODI World Cup. Perhaps 2027 will be the final edition of the ODI World Cup, if the current trends continue.

Rohit failed in the first match, but he was in the pretty good form since the Asia cup and Ishan Kishan, the only person who is still not at his best is Shreyas. KL has been excellent since his comeback and gave winning knock in the Asia cup too with century along with Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya too.

AFG not really prepared themselves for 50 over format, that is why their batting collapses in such QuickTime and Rashid Khan also became ineffective or being punished due to no support from other end.

Today's pitch was not conducive to batting. But the performance of the Indian batsmen seems to be a pitch that is completely conducive to batting. India batted very responsibly. Since the target was not very big. So the Indian batsmen were not under any pressure today. Then Rohit Sharma's innings of 131 runs put India completely in control of the match. And at the same time the Afghanistan bowlers lost confidence. As the pitch was in condition, the spin bowlers should have had a huge advantage. But today there is no better performance than the spin bowlers of Afghanistan. India cruised to an easy win with 90 balls and 8 wickets to spare.

1. New Zealand are currently at the best position in the ICC points table where they have played two matches, winning both matches. Team New Zealand tops the points table with 4 points, and New Zealand's NNR is +1.958.

2. Team India is second in the points table, they have played two matches remarkably and won both the matches. India's current point is 4, India is in second position as their NNR is +1.50.

3. Pakistan is on the third position of the points table with 4 points after winning two matches. Two matches they won brilliantly, due to which their NNR is +0.927.

4. South Africa are in fourth place they have played one match winning by a great margin. But because of their one match point 2 that's why they are in fourth position. But when South Africa win the next match they are likely to move to first place, now South Africa's NNR is +2.040

5. England team is at the fifth position in the points table, they have played two matches so far, won one match and lost the other match. For which England's points are 2, and England's NNR is +0.553.

6. Bangladesh is in sixth position with 2 points, they have played two matches out of which they have won one match and lost one match. Bangladesh's NNR in the points table is -0.653 due to losing one match.

7. Seventh place in the points table is Australia, they have played one match so far and lost only one match due to which they have 0 points. But if they go to their next match points will definitely increase, currently their table NNR is -0.883.

8. Eighth ranked team Sri Lanka have played two matches so far and lost for two reasons. Sri Lanka have not been able to collect their points in the points table so far as they have lost two matches. Sri Lanka's points are 0, and their NNR stands at -1.161.

9. The team at the ninth position in the points table is the Netherlands. They have played two matches so far without a win. Due to missing two matches, the Netherlands team has not been able to add any points in the points table so far, due to which they have 0 points.  And NNR -1.800 in their points table due to the Netherlands not winning a match.

10. Afghanistan was at the bottom of the points table in 10th place, and they have played very poorly due to which they have not been able to climb higher. Afghanistan has played two matches so far but have not won a single match, losing both matches due to which they have 0 points. Moreover, it is still not possible to say whether they can go higher in the points table, but it may not be possible, according to NNR-1.907 in the points table, they are in tenth place.

Its an easy eight-wicket win for India against Afghanistan in their second match in Delhi. Skipper Rohit Sharma's century and Virat Kohli's unbeaten fifty 55 in 56 balls sealed the match for India. India chased down 273 in just 35 overs and showed absolutely no mercy to the Afghan bowlers. Rohit Sharma now has the record of hitting the most International sixes, scoring the most 7 centuries in world cup. Rohit Sharma is the player of the match for his outstanding 131-run knock against Afghanistan. Rashid Khan is the standout bowler for Afghanistan against India 2/57 in 8 Overs

All the cricket loving fans who have their fans can agree on one thing that India's batting players are the best compared to other countries.In front of that India today, Afghanistan has given a target of only 273 runs.This was a very low score for India which they proved on the field.They won against Afghanistan by 8 wickets.

350 would have been difficult for India. Shubman Gill is out as a result of dengue fever, and the openers are not scoring enough runs for India (especially Ishan Kishan, as Rohit Sharma scored 131 against Afghanistan today). Then there is weakness in the middle order, with KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya not being consistent with the bat. BTW, Naveen-ul-Haq was the most economical bowler for Afghanistan today, going for 5-0-31-0. Almost everyone else went for more than 8 runs per over. The two opening bowlers (Fazalhaq Farooqi and Mujeeb Ur Rahman) were terribly expensive. 

I still do not agree this point that if Afghan team gave 350 runs target or more then 350 and then they still did not have a chance to win this match. India team at this moment in full form and they really performed outstanding in both matches. This match Afghan team lost this match very terribly from India. India won this 9th match of Icc World cup from Afghanistan by 8 wickets and 90 balls (equal 15 overs) are left and they lost only 2 wickets R.Sharma and I.Kishan. From Afghanistan team, H.Shahidi scored 80 runs in 88 balls and other players did perform well and from bowling line, R.Khan took two wickets of Indian batters R.Sharma and I.Kishan.

350 is enough, Nah at least 450 cause the batting depth of India is way down the order and everyone is great form since Asia cup so no matter how much Afghanistan scored it won't be enough compared to team India.

But I really appreciate the effort of AFG batting lineup today because they at least put up a decent total against team like India and few batsmen scored good runs too but the track suited for hitman batting style and he took away the match in the first 10 or 15 overs itself with the way he batted and no bowler gave any threat at all.

India team has won the match with a great performance from bowling line to batting. It seems that if Afghanistan team could have given a target of 350 runs, then maybe Afghanistan team would have won the match, but the run that Afghanistan has given as a target was not the right run for Afghanistan to win.  For the team. Afghanistan team lost so badly in today's match to spoil the performance of Afghanistan team. India team won by 8 wickets today.

Looks like India will easily beat Afghanistan today to win this 9th match. I have already predicted for India in today's match that they will beat Afghanistan very easily. That's why I already bet India at 1.8 odds. At the moment, India's collection of 192 runs after coming to bat against the target of 273 runs given by Afghanistan. India need 81 runs to win. I think India can easily achieve this target today. But do you think my predictions will be wrong? Besides, will my bet win today?

The way Sharma ji ka launda is batting, even 300 looking average score now. Kishan is just another spectator in the stadium and watching Rohit doing all the heavy lifting. Also horrendous bowling from the Afghans.

What happened to Rohit Sharma suddenly;D. This guy looks like he is high on octane, zero pressure for him as he is going all in. He is the one who has scored most of the total for India. 77 runs from Rohit and 12 from Ishan Kishan out of a total of 96 runs. Rohit getting prepared for the next game against Pakistan. Shubhman Gill will be joining the squad when India plays against Pakistan on the 14th. BTW, found out that Rohit has become the only batter to hit the largest number of sixes in the World Cup.

Afghanistan team is going to accept a shameful defeat today as in the first match. This group is not weak. They have some very talented and world class players. Even then they are not doing well. We saw poor batting by Afghanistan against Bangladesh. Today we are seeing poor bowling from Afghanistan against India. India collected 96 runs in 11 overs without losing any wicket. Afghanistan has no chance of scoring in this match. Rohit Sharma scored 78 runs off just 45 balls. Ishan Kishan is batting with responsibility. He collected 12 runs off 22 balls. I wouldn't be at all surprised if India win without losing a wicket today.

In today's match, Afghanistan could not score many runs in the first innings. Afghanistan scored 272 runs and lost 8 wickets. This score is not very high. With this small target given to India, Afghanistan can never dream of winning. If Afghanistan's batsmen had started well, more runs would have been possible, but they did not start well. But if one more player bats well like Afghanistan batsman Shahidi could have collected a good score, where Shahidi collected 80 runs off 88 balls his batting performance was good. However India team is batting at the moment their batting performance is really very good and today they are doing amazing batting performance to meet the target. India's two batsmen Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma are batting confidently as India's wicket has not fallen so far. If these two survive till the end then surely both of them will play the maximum role to win the match. At the moment India team has scored 87 runs with no wickets falling, Rohit Sharma is batting brilliantly to score a century.

Afghanistan could not get off to a good start. They lost three important top order batsmen for 63 runs. Even then the team was able to provide a target of 273 runs. But is 272 enough to win against a team like India? I think it's not enough. Afghanistan had to give 330+ targets to defeat India.
India collected only 13 runs in the first three overs. But soon Rohit Sharma started batting aggressively. India's collection of 64 runs at the end of 7 overs. Rohit Sharma remains unbeaten on 26 with 49 runs. And Ishan Kishan's collection is just 10 runs off 16 balls. With the form India's batsmen are in, they will reach the target before the 40 overs.

Afghan bowlers now have a job to do, they have to defend a target of 272 against strong Indian batting. To win this game Afghan bowlers need to get early wickets because if players like Sharma and KL got settled then it will be difficult rather impossible to contain them.

Meanwhile India has just started the run chase and after 4 overs they are 23 for no loss. Indian top order batting lineup got derailed in last game that's why they are extra careful today.

Considering that they have played only a few matches in the World Cup, it is a good total. They will be overwhelmed with their achievement considering they were 3 down with only 63 runs on the scoreboard. It now depends on how efficiently they can bowl on a pitch that favors batters. The Indian team has an excellent batting order and on a pitch like this one it should not create any issue for them. The best scene of today was when Naveen came to bat and Virat tried to run him out, that got wasted because of Rahul. The next event would be when Kohli comes to bat and he is bowling to him, it would make this match more exciting.  

I would say Afghanistan batted very well. I can't call a target of 273 runs a bad target on this pitch. The average first innings runs on this pitch of Delhi is 230 runs. So the collection of 272 runs for Afghanistan is going to be called a good collection. The average run of the second innings of this pitch is only 207 runs. But it cannot be said that Afghanistan will win. The opponent India is very strong. Even if the pitch is decent enough to target, it is very difficult to win against India. If Afghanistan could provide a target of more than 300 then I would say they have a slim chance of winning. But it will be much more difficult to beat India with a target of 273 runs.
