Mendis destroyed the hope of Pakistani team to restrict Srilanka under 250 runs. When he was batting the run rate was above 8, after his departure it is hovering between 6 and 7. They still have 10 more overs to face and they will easily score more than 300 runs. Sadeera Samarawickrama is batting very well on 81, he is eyeing for the century. After the century he would try to increase the run rate. They have a few batters left who can come in the end overs and hit the ball for six or fours. Pakistani batting would be tested today if Srilanka gets beyond 350.

Today's match will be very exciting for Sri Lanka. They entered the World Cup for the first time as if they were a top ranked team. Sri Lanka tried to score more runs from the start and they succeeded in that. Especially an innings of 122 runs by Kushal Mendis will keep Sri Lanka ahead of victory in this match. Pathum Nissanka get half-century to his name even and all batsmen in the Sri Lankan team have scored well except Kusal Perera. I expect Sri Lanka to win today's match. The betting odds have undergone massive changes today which really made for better betting opportunities. Those who will be lucky in today's match will have a good return. As both sides have given big ups and downs.

Kusal Mendis is going to be the key player for Sri Lanka. During the last match also (vs South Africa) he made a quick-fire 76 from just 42 balls. And before that he made 158 against Afghanistan during the warmup match. He is in pretty good form and if he can build a partnership with Sadeera Samarawickrama, then Sri Lanka may end up with a good total (>350). The pitch at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium hardly offers any support for the bowlers. So any total below 320 would be like a cakewalk for the Pakistanis.

Pakistan started well with a wicket in the second over. Then after both Afridi and Ali are struggling with their bowling. They have given 6 runs in extra which is not expected from them. Srilanka looking good, runs are coming easy for both batters. It is very early phase of the game, Pakistani bowling would improve I guess.

England played really well today against Bangladesh after thier bad start in the World Cup. They gave the Bangladesh batter a target of 365 runs. I don't think Bangladeshi batters would be able to chase those runs. England do have a good pace attack to defend their target.

At the moment, England have collected 334 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 46.4 overs. Bangladesh Tigers could not beat England very easily in today's match. Bangladesh Tigers took the field with more spinners against England hoping for the success they had with spinners in the first match against Afghanistan. Today maybe such a decision has become a cause of danger for Bangladesh. At this moment, Root got out after scoring 82 runs off 68 balls. I thought Root would reach the century soon. Root is out by Mushfiqur Rahim. If 7 wickets were taken within 250 runs then Bangladesh team could have stopped England within 300 runs today. However, Bangladesh is expected to win from the current condition of England. Let's see what result Bangladesh can bring against England.

England playing against Bangladesh is a disaster for the bong brothers. The way English batters are batting is not looking good, they still have plenty of wickets in hand. They need 2 runs to reach 300 and have 100 overs still to play. If the bat aggressively from now on they would beat South Africa's record of 428 runs in this World Cup. This match is being totally dominated by England.

Malan scores his first century in the World Cup. This is his fourth hundred in 2023 and his second against Bangladesh this year. None of the Bangladeshi bowlers are able to break this partnership between Malan and Root. The current run rate is above 6 and if these two guys go on then England will cross the 400 runs mark. I do not think it would be easy for Bangladesh to even chase 300 runs with the pace attack that England has in this team.

England is playing exceptionally well, especially Malan, who is near to his 100. The pitch is flat and turning out to be a batting paradise. It looks like a 350 + wicket. England batters are bashing the BAN bowling lineup. Currently, they are at 187/1 after 30 overs. England has plenty of batting to come, and almost all of them are known for their hard-hitting abilities. BAN is in all sorts of trouble in this match.

The eighth match of the World Cup will be played today at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad. Pakistan are favorite to win the match against Srilanka, they are a far better team. The Srilankan team is not looking good in the World Cup they have already lost their first match against Bangladesh.

Can Srilanka win today against Pakistan?

I am currently watching the match on Disney-Hotstar and I would say that the odds are justified. Despite their loss in the first match against New Zealand, England has so far dominated this match completely. Bangladesh is looking more and more hapless with each passing over. England has raced to 112/0 and the Bangladeshi bowlers are yet to take any wickets. The pitch at Dharamsala looks quite flat, but at the same time my feeling is that when compared to the other venues there is a bit more support for the seamers.

Not a good start for Bangladesh, at this rate England would surpass the 300-run mark by the end of the 50th over. They need a wicket ASAP or they won't be able to control the run flow. Good start from England after they lost to the Kiwis they would want to win this match. They are one of the favorite teams in this World Cup. Both openers are looking comfortable against the Bangladesh bowling attack.

The next match of today is the one I am personally waiting to watch. Pakistan would like to defeat Srilanka to avenge their defeat in the Asia Cup. Srilanka is not looking good in the tournament, they are at the bottom of the point table. If they do not win today then they would be in trouble.

The seventh match of the World Cup will be played today at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamshala. England are the favorite to win today. They have not won any games in the World Cup.

Can Bangladesh win today against England?

It was a decent performance by the Dutch. They lost their first two matches against very strong teams, by double digit margins. And there is always a chance of upset, when they play against some of the relatively weaker teams such as Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The next match for Netherlands is going to be against South Africa. The Proteas are also in great form and it is going to be yet another tough match for the Dutch. One advantage is that this match will take place at Dharamsala, where the weather and ground conditions are more favorable for them.

New Zealand retains the top spot after a comfortable victory against Netherlands in the 4 points table with NRR is +1.98. New Zealand beat Netherland by 99 runs in Match 6 Two in two for New Zealand. Another dominating win for New Zealand in this ODI World Cup 2023. NewZealand all out Netherlands in 223/10 in 47th Over of the match. Matt Henry finishes with 3/40 against Netherlands in Hyderabad. Maiden World Cup fifty for Colin Ackermann and his third in ODIs. Mitchell Santner have been awarded Player of the Match for his all-round 37* knock and 5/59 bowling spell against Netherlands.

New Zealand started the World Cup auspiciously by defeating the world champions England in the World Cup mission in India. This time, after 27 years, the Kiwis' opponent is the Netherlands, who have passed the qualifying round and made it to the main World Cup. Batting first against the Dutch, last season's runners-up scored 322 runs with three half-centuries. Netherlands did not do well early on when they came out to bat against a target of 322 runs given to New Zealand. Ackerman batted very well, if the other two could have batted well, they would have been very close to victory. Ackerman scored 69 runs off 73 balls. Looking at the game I think New Zealand will win this match very easily.

It was predictable that New Zealand will win the match against Netherlands as they had a flying start already. I did not watch the match because I do not enjoy match which result may get one sided. Of course there are some exceptions when it comes to my own country game. For example, Tomorrow Bangladesh will face England and of course England is favorite team in this match. They are likely to win against Bangladesh. But still we Bangladeshi supporters are going to watch the match and support our team as Bangladesh is a unpredictable team and they had a record beating England in world cup. The expectation is not too much for now. But we expecting a competitive match.

 The New Zealand was the good team,we can expect them in this semi final.If they work hard,they can be the final winner of this World Cup.As like other team,the New Zealand had their own senior player to support the team at the critical move in this World Cup.Netherland also had their good performance in the practice match.The current required run was 129 runs from the 64 balls.It was easy target for the Netherland by their current team batting.The New Zealand have to try to get the remaining three wicket to manage their win in today match.The New Zealand already win the England and was in the top of table.

Although the New Zealand team was under a bit of pressure in the beginning, but later improved their game and scored high runs. Set a target of 322 runs to the Netherlands, the Netherlands have now lost 6 wickets to meet the target of 322 runs and the Netherlands are under enough pressure. Although it will not be possible for the Netherlands to win the match against New Zealand today, we can predict it by looking at the performance of the Netherlands. New Zealand bowling line-up in today's match is really interesting game is going to be very exciting between the two teams. The Netherlands team in particular is under the most pressure now, as New Zealand is much stronger than the Netherlands, as they played the World Cup once in 2019. Moreover, the first match of the 2023 World Cup was a great win against England, according to which New Zealand will surely beat the Netherlands by a huge margin today. The Netherlands still need to score 142 runs from 83 balls to meet the target set by New Zealand, which I don't think will ever happen. Netherlands can't score so many runs with New Zealand because New Zealand has improved enough bowling line and bowls well. And we can say for sure today and this prediction will definitely be correct that New Zealand will win their second ICC World Cup match today.

Wait for the next 3-4 years or a decade, unless a new IPL version of ODI comes in. I am afraid, this reality will kick in soon and hit the cricket world real hard as far as the ODI format is concerned.

I don't see much interest in my social circle in this edition either. Plenty of craze for T-20, particularly IPL and a substantial amount of fanfare for Test cricket (Indian + Ashes).

I would say that the bowlers of Netherlands are playing great in this world cup. They did pretty well against Pakistan too. In today's match, if they could have controlled bowling in the last few overs, then maybe New Zealand would have given the target below 300. The bowler of Netherlands probably gave 21 runs in the last over.

Batting with a target of 323 runs, there is no chance of victory for the Netherlands. And so the Netherlands batsmen are playing without any pressure. They don't want to win the match. They only want to reduce the margin of defeat. Netherlands collected 101 runs after losing 3 wickets in 23 overs. They are averaging less than 4.5 runs per over. Netherlands need 222 runs in 27 overs. It is impossible for Netherlands batsmen to collect it.
