IEO is a simple way to raise funds very fast, but I don't think it is good for projects. And I hope soon we'll return to regular ICO fundraising.

Both ICO and IEO formats have some advantages and disadvantages. IEO looks really cool today as top exchanges search for good projects which helps investors to avoid scams. Also, the project is very likely to get listed on this exchange. On the other side, the most IEO participants do not know anything about the project and they buy tokens just to get profit.

It is true that IEOs are better than ICO because they can be more comfortable investing without thinking of their money being taken away (as many ico do now) but I'm not sure if all IEO will provide many benefits

IEO platform is not same as escrow, it is escrow that keeps fund until a project is delivered, IEO only assist in separating fraudulent ICOs to Good ones and when it comes to the funding, it doesn’t lie with the exchanger, it still being released to the project team for the development of the project and I am not even sure they even collect the fund directly on behalf of the project team, so I don’t really get what you meant by your fund being safe with exchangers.

If any IEO project fails now, there is nothing an exchange can do to get your money back because it is part of the risk in investment, IEO will only guarantee you that whatever project you decide to invest in as been verified to be genuine and authentic, so the success of the project remain with the team.

IEO has been created since there are lot of ICO scam but be very careful because not all IEO is safe especially if the exchange is new, if you don't want to lose your money then only participate in IEO if its conducted in a popular exchange.

I think, the IEO will become popular in the future, and beating the popularity of ICO, today, many investors are disappointed and go to the IEO, because many ICOs are scam and only create bad coin value on the market.

ICO and IEO are all ways to seek for funds publicly to develop a project. They both serve the same purpose but ICO has been less effective because of its loopholes taken advantage of by fraudulent developers. IEO plugs these defects and offer confidence to investors, that is why its most popular now

From my opinion, IEO is not efficient because you will need more money to holding IEO on popular exchange.
In ICO, you only need to hold a campaign to create some awareness about your ICO.
but IEO is more effective than ICO, because they are targeting audiences on popular exchange.

Then I don’t see any project that cannot even boast of the IEO fee as an unserious project that will not stand the test of time because this IEO fee we are talking about is not that very big for a good project not to be able to meet up with, a company cannot tell me that they are starting from zero funding and does not even have money to put one or two things together first if they are really serious about a project.

In IPO, before raising funds, they let the public know what the company can already raise and what they need from the public to completely fund the project, starting from zero funding without any form of establishment already is what is making lots of investors fall as scam victims.

Since ICO days are almost over because of the fraudulent projects introduced to the community, IEO is gaining traction from the crypto community, which are deemed to be more efficient in the current times. However, the project should have solid foundation to make their IEO successful. As the investors are not dumb anymore, they are also looking for real technology behind those projects not just hollow promises.

I'll tell you how ICO can raise money. All just give the work product. Build say $ 100,000 and develop a prototype. What would investors know where to invest. And the majority of projects have nothing to do.

IMO, as long as the project is disruptive and feasible, both ICO and IEO are effective in raising funds. No, blockchain technology is no the only way to raise fund, there are other methods out there. So the project developers usually choose the one that is suitable for their business. As far as I remember, ETH raise fund through a mainstream crowd funding platform.

Maybe IEO is more effective than ICO because investors will be interested with popular platform such binance.
But about efficient, i don't know yet. But if the cost of the IEO can be covered by the successful raised funds,
then it will be more efficient to running IEO than ICO.

A startup can also conduct an IEO. These two (ICO and IEO) are the same, except for the marketing strategy. The main difference is that one is sold on am exchange, which is for that of IEO

I am agree, IEO or ICO basicly is same. The different think is ICO held by developers team and IEO held by exchanger. Its more effective for IEO because when IEO end, the token start listed in exchanger and can start to trade in market.

The difference between them is that IEOs are much safer. You won't get scammed but you still can lose all your money if the exchange gets hacked or shut down. If Mt Gox had an IEO in 2013 what would happen to your money in 2014?
