the act of scammers is indeed very detrimental not only to investors but also from crypto itself because a large number of scammers in the ICO project makes investors less confident to support cryptocurrency. so that the market conditions dropped dramatically and I hope this problem can be overcome.

most ico currently only imitate ideas and technology, and the lack of experience of teams and developers so that prices always fall far below the price of ico after entering the exchange. I doubt that in the future there will be many investors who believe in ico. added to the number of ico that leads to a scam. this is as you discussed
I think yes, Ico will survive. Despite all sualt of complain and talking down about ico i think most projects are still making sales and completing the ico and they are never worried about it. One thing I noticed is that those who invested small are the ones complaining about how bad scammers use the medium, but some people still make their profits.
After several investors became victims, they are now more careful to join the ico, even though in 2017 there were many investors who benefited, only in 2018 there were many scammers who made fake ico so that the victims were investors.
It does really look like exactly what happened. Damn! But it does look like the scammers got more than just investors. More innocent and unsuspecting public got scammed too. I took a bullet too. Though I am wiser now.

Actually in my opinion, ICOs still surviving and that is because of binance launchpad. It filtered out the most legit and promising projects and given the hype on binance it surely achieves its hardcap even faster. All companies say pass KYC to buy our tokens.
