scammers can be avoided and prevented along with the development of ICO and also the investment security of ICO. so ico will still continue and last forever.
ICOs as a form of crowdfuning can not be dead in the first place. It is connected with people´s needs to invest and to make a passive income. What is important is the tool they want to choose as potential investors have a lot of possibilities to let their money work for them. ICOs are not that successful like in 2017 anymore, but this pattern is pushing just those great projects with a solid background. We are entering a period when people realize that quality is more important than quantity. And that is a sign of a nice progress

As usual observations, mostly all tokens coming from ICO were certainly dump after listing which it could give chances for them to buy more but the worst thing to see is that, it hardly to recover reaching again ICO price and more worst when it become dead.
The chance for ICO to survive is always there but we cannot avoid the fact that investors are a little doubt and less interested to join ICOs. Everybody must understand about the impacts of many failed and scam projects on ICOs. In my view, It needs something to ensure investors to have high interest again to join in ICOs.

Investors already know that there are a lot of scammers on the ICO market and they have learned how to avoid them. At the moment, the situation on the cryptocurrency price market has to calm down, so that investors return with fresh funds.

After 2017 max ICO profits, ICO has since then been a high target for scammers but alas ICO will still survive on the long run ,bitorrent and fetch.ai has proven that, many investors are now getting smart and extremely more careful ,its really a good thing ,before we know it the scam rate will get lower and scammers won't make a dime from ICO anymore. I think action speaks more than words,no one wants to lose money to scam projects anymore so they are forced to learn how to spot good projects to invest in. Warning doesn't work but investors losing money does makes them learn.
indeed, there are many frauds currently circulating within the ICO. sometimes there are many investors who are exposed to fraud. but I still believe that not all investors will not do anything stupid, which they think is very detrimental to themselves. so many investors are now more careful.

So it was always and in any matters. Until you learn to make mistakes, you will lose your money. As soon as there is an understanding of the choice of projects, the investment will become more productive.
I am not sure current ICO condition they have a huge chance to survive. Many of the project even can not hide their sof cap but they decided to proceed their project instead of canceling. People lost their faith on ICOs and just waiting for recovering their loses.
As the market recovers, investors will pay more attention to ICO, at which time potential projects also have more development opportunities with funding to maintain the project and will also be a passive source of income. for investors
ICO has a chance to temporarily revive only in the bull market, but this is not what investors need, they will better choose other means of investment, especially there is plenty to choose from

For icos to be successful they need a solid product atleast a working version, people don't invest in ideas now.
Some few ICOs are still doing well. Especially those ICOs who already have a working product or those who are listed on an exchange where the ICO is scheduled to take place (now known as an IEO - Internal Exchange Offering)
