Well icos are still surviving, when I mean ICOs,  I mean good projects . People still invest in good projects but the problem is how would they know it is good or bad.  Failed ICOs have made investors restrain from investing. So good ICOs are still surviving.

After several investors became victims, they are now more careful to join the ico, even though in 2017 there were many investors who benefited, only in 2018 there were many scammers who made fake ico so that the victims were investors.

Investors are just more than scared to invest now. I still wonder though how some ICO projects manage to sell out in seconds or minutes.

every shift of the year is indeed sometimes a lot of people who jump in crypto, and that also sometimes there are people who have used it to get a profit by means of fraud. so for now more and more are interested, of course we need to be vigilant again.

After 2017 max ICO profits, ICO has since then been a high target for scammers but alas ICO will still survive on the long run ,bitorrent and fetch.ai has proven that, many investors are now getting smart and extremely more careful ,its really a good thing ,before we know it the scam rate will get lower and scammers won't make a dime from ICO anymore. I think action speaks more than words,no one wants to lose money to scam projects anymore so they are forced to learn how to spot good projects to invest in. Warning doesn't work but investors losing money does makes them learn.

ICO is a way to crowdfund money for a project.  I do not understand how you expect it not survive. There of course are other ways to collect founds. Many other ways and none of them did not die out when ICOs appeared. Projects will chose the way that fits them most.  With ICOs many bad and even fake projects were able to collect founds. Projects that would never get founds in banks or from angel investors.
It is because of the fact that the ICO has become a gold bait for scammers, this type of investment collection can gradually die, as investor confidence is rapidly melting, no one wants to risk, especially in a weak market

I think ICO will always survive and i think now there are so many good ICO projects. Many investors also know where they should invest and always be careful when choosing a ICO project.
Of course everything will be fine. but I think it will be only a few years. in 5 years the tokenization will already be fully implemented and only the most universal projects will remain

as we have seen, indeed there are so many ICOs that have sprung up and that makes investors when choosing ICO certainly have to be more careful. because choosing an ICO is not in a hurry. because some of the projects sometimes have scams. so investors must be more careful.

Even there are a lot of people who started to quit in participating in ICO projects. There are atill a lot of upcoming projects and many people are still hoping that it will be now successful unlike the other projects, so for them to recieve their rewards and earn more profit.

It's the truth. We see that new projects still continue to appear. I believe that some of them will be able to achieve success, so I believe that the ICO is still relevant.

A very small minority will make it. It still isn't clear cut which problems need to be addresses with blockchain, but right now many see blockchain as solving everything.

I think that ICO can survive in the long run, only if the number of fraud is reduced and it should be significantly. In the meantime, more and more STO begins to enter the sphere of cryptocurrencies.

BBOD fast, non-custodial & transparent Exchange
Most of the investors are keeping away from ICO as much as they can due to a lot of scam projects. They have found a new way of investing to new project through STO/IEO and it seems that it became effective as the investors feels that their money is on a safe place.

Compare rates on different exchanges & swap.
agree with you to some extent- ICO is definitely not going anywhere. It is the best way to invest in a project So far.

However Investors need some sort of protection from the market. Warning them is still very necessary.

Yes, but since market is getting more competitive so it is tough for any ICO to become successful. Most ICO are only concern about thier profit and this attitude make the ICO difficult to become successful. But I still believe ICO's can become successful.
I am sure many investors will be smarter in choosing the right ICO. last year was only a transition period where many things appeared sporadically. the most important thing in the future is a better evolution, this year we know STO etc. which can make the investment climate positive, the next series of ICO variables will further tighten the coins that are really good.

2019 is the year for high-quality ICO' s only. By high-quality I mean: releasing a great product which is needed globally in a market which is preferably untapped and growing in need; extremely good execution by the team and a capable team itself. This is just the surface level.

Lol, this is told every single year. Just read forum - will be the same about 2018 and 2017  Grin
In my opinion ICO are almost dead. Unfortunately it will continue with STO  Roll Eyes
STO has not started yet and I think it is very difficult to start. I believe that the IEO will be the best choice for investors during this period because there were 2 successful ICOs when they were sponsored by binance.

ICO is not going to die, there are still ICOs going on today.
Nobody is saying ICO will die but it’s just a matter of time before they lose relevance if care is not taken, using myself as an example, I can remember vividly how I use to watch out for new ICOs to invest in some years back when ICOs where real not until a lot of people get scammed including me and gradually, I started losing interest in the new ones and focus on trading on existing projects that has already gained ground.

So, I can’t remember the last time I participated in an ICO because I already lost interest same as I lost interest being a bounty hunter.

I do believe ICO will survive last longer. The hype of 2017 maked people want to invest on cryptocurrency. Then, scammer used that hype to steal people money in 2018. Investor lost their trust now but some still believe on it. I hopes this year is going to be good.
Yep, hype is one of the things that can mislead a lot of people and they will end up making a mistake . I’m not saying hype is bad, but if something is being hyped you still have to make your own research so that you don’t fall for a trap, cause some of these hypes are being bought by scammers to deceive those who are being careless and most especially newbies.

In my own opinion, ICO have only less chance of surviving today because there are only few people are now interested to invest and to participate in ICO projects. People are now sick off having problems in scam projects and late of distribution of tokens.
