After 2017 max ICO profits, ICO has since then been a high target for scammers but alas ICO will still survive on the long run ,bitorrent and fetch.ai has proven that, many investors are now getting smart and extremely more careful ,its really a good thing ,before we know it the scam rate will get lower and scammers won't make a dime from ICO anymore. I think action speaks more than words,no one wants to lose money to scam projects anymore so they are forced to learn how to spot good projects to invest in. Warning doesn't work but investors losing money does makes them learn.
As can be seen from these two successful projects, current investors will only focus on high-quality ICO projects because the success rate is very large.

All companies say pass KYC to buy our tokens. I also want companies to go through KYC before making an ICO and taking responsibility.

The investors really learned the hard way and that is losing a lot of money, there are few brave investors now in our midst and this is the one that keeps the ICO alive but if this scamming persist even the brave and wise investors will be gone.
Investing now might be risky but there are still some projects that are worth the try. We will never gain unless we try, like how we are in bounty hunting, investing is the same way in terms of finding the legit and hoping things will be successful. It might be risky but we should see how the project will be beneficial to its user that can still attract investors.

It is unlikely that ICO projects will survive only from the fact that investors will learn to distinguish between fraudulent ICO projects and non-fraudulent ones. Here you need something more effective. Perhaps the regulation of the activities of the ICO by the states. In another way, we will not get rid of fraud in ICO projects. However, it will take some time to regulate ICO activities.

if things like this continue, I don't think ico can survive. too many scammers use ico to take money. so if you want to make ico better, first solve the problem of a scam project.
yeah i think that is true if a lot of ico scams of course this will not bring good news and i think ico will really die, it is very difficult to find ico which is really good almost most ico is just sweet promises and scamers are still roaming around us .

When scammers leave the ICO market, do start-ups really have a good playing field to participate and be creative? That is definitely not. The scammers broke that playground and when they were no longer valid, they left. so we can conclude that ICO is dead and there is no hope. Wink

Whether or not we like it or not, there will be ICO's every where we look here on bitcointalk forum. Bounty hunters though are also having a hard time filtering ICO but I think they are much preferring the weekly signature campaigns.

It is the investors that need to survive I guess? Not the worthless projects that is being implemented day by day which do not all have really a good goal here on the cryptocurrency space.

I also believe that and the first big wave of ICOs was in 2017 to mid 2018 and then it slowed down. I'm very certain that the 2nd big wave of ICOs will  happen again the 2nd quarter of 2019 in the midst of another great bull run.

currently only icos survive and flourish that are part and close around the corrupt cryptocurrency index created by the bitcoin founders.

Icos can be very successful again and for that to happen I believe something has to change especially in the model in which icos are been organised for example binance through his launchpad as already launched two successful icos that have sold out in a very incredible short period of time and I also making multiple returns on investment on exchanges.
If this sort of model is applied to issue investors on investment in which projects are verified by reputable organisations or bodies and then the ico is launched on another reputable platform like nasdaq on nyse then ico can really have a future.
Honestly, I don't think Nasdaq, NYSE will let crypto projects to get listed on their exchange. Global players understand the risks and they will do everything to prevent the listing of cryptos at the same platform along with the stock shares.

I believe this if ico still has a chance to survive, when crypto has risen it will of course be followed by the rise of ico and of course ico must have an update for the future so that it can walk further

Although ICO still has a chance to survive, there are many investors still afraid to invest in ICO because they are losing big money in the project and I think they are searching on how they can get the money's back. We don't know what the ICO will be in this year or the next year, but maybe the ICO could still survive but with a different way.
Until the STO was created, there were losers. I personally would not like to use STO widely. Yes, it can oppose scam, but with regulations every of them can do. The STO should not be the only solution to reduce the scammers.

As you know bitorrent and fetch.ai are sponsored by Binance, that is the main reason for their success.
The rest, if these two projects are sponsored by Latoken, I assure you that it doesn't reach softcap.
So the main problem here is who is behind the project?

I don't think why people are keep saying that ICO are going to die, but I constantly see new ICO being born daily? I am just confused because I see some ICO's are performing well in the market so please don't generalize.
Just for many people, the current state of this sphere of investment, in comparison with what it was a year ago, is equivalent to death, that's why there is so much negative about the ICO

Yes, despite everything that may seem possible, I still think that today there is an opportunity to really raise the money correctly, because some projects already show this and quite seriously can accomplish the tasks.

ICO does have a chance, but under the condition of tight regulation to ensure the safety of investors' funds against theft and market fluctuations as well.
