So they change plans for dividends, ok I accept without problem. But now their team is dividing because devs are too focused on platform and they can't focuse on founding right ?? that means ICONOMI is not a founding platform anymore ? I don't understand

I almost panicked when I saw the CEO of Iconomi was leaving Iconomi...

Then after a while, I realized Jani is not Jan, and there are actually more than 3 Jani/Jan/Yan in Iconomi.  Grin Shocked Shocked Roll Eyes

PS: I really lost track of all the Jan/Jani/Yan.. Could one of you please change your name?  Grin Your names really give me headache.  Roll Eyes
Smiley its a little confusing with all those similar names Smiley

Am I the only one who assumed Jani and Jan were the same person?  Shocked

So how many Jani/Jan/Yan are in Iconomi?   Huh

I've decided to remove my earlier post because.. Iconomi will receive a % in the new cofound venture...

Details to be announced later..  No need for speculation at this point.

Seems like theres a new team which is the cofound.it team is paring up with Iconomi, lets see how it goes

Hmmm, so they are doing another ICO? Why?

New blog post - Iconomi:
Introducing Cofound.it: the future of ICOs
https://medium.com/iconominet/introducing-cofound-it-the-future-of-icos-14bc1859393d

I'm perplexed also.  How much of ICONOMI is going to be spun off?  Does this lessen the value of ICN?  Hopefully we will be given a detailed explanation soon.

They are just splitting the Mentoring program into a different entity called Cofound.it which is very positive news since the team can now just concentrate on developing the platform and the job of investing in good ICO's is outsourced to the Cofound.it lead by Jan and Deloitte as evaluator  Grin

Cofound.it is not Iconomi. Nothing is taken away.
Read Slack.
Cofound.it has its own dev team, ... .
Iconomi just made announcement about it. Cofound.it team is on its own. They will make their own ICO, ...

from Slack (30.3.2017)
Yan - CEO at Cofound.it:

(Yan) Iconomi will remain a small shareholder,
but we’re on our own now and will have our own ICO

Q: How will this affect development/time/love given to ICONOMI
A: (Yan): zero, we have built a new team including devs

(Yan)
- it was really simple: it became clear that CFI has to be separate because the iconomi is so focused on the platform that CFI was being held back. so it was either cancel the project or separate it
- the goal is to have great cofoundit mentors in every blockchain hotspot around the world
- the idea is for us to provide a due diligence service for the crypto investment community, among other things
- cofound.it coaches great ICO projects and receives a share of the tokens they issue
- it became clear that the scope of cofound.it is bigger and very different from iconomi, so we worked on building a new team
- we’ll be providing evaluations to iconomi, and others
- selected ones will even be audited by deloitte
- and we have a couple of REALLY cool projects in the pipeline
- right now we have experts for branding, design, B2B sales, business development, smart contract development, agile team processes.

Q: more like decentralized kickstarter?
A: (Yan) hm. more like y combinator + kickstarter + upwork

Q: dont you think that iconomi, as an unfinished product which it is right now needs full attention from all team members? Wouldnt it be better to start this kind of program when icn delivers all platform deployments?
A: (Yan) he key limiting factor for iconomi is devs
and we have our own dev team we’re not stealing any

Q: but ICNP team will need someone to do the due diligence
A: (Yan) cofound.it will still provide that service, but not limited to iconomi.
we’re on our own but will of course still work closely with iconomi

Q: Still dont understand what the DAMP platform has to do with ico due diligence.
A: (Yan) nothing.
mentoring started as an offshoot of the ICNP. after a while we realised that it is a totally different focus from DAMP
and decided that it’s best to separate the teams so each can focus

Q: will you still be with Iconomi or will you be fulltime at cofound.it then
A: (Yan) fulltime with cofound.it but sharing the office

Q: my key question is still why not a separate department or a subsidiary?
A: (Yan) because if we would do that the other investors would say “why are you using our money for that, this is not DAMP”
A: (Yan) because we want to bring other ecosystem partners in,  too.
position ourselves as neutral
A: (user) with new ICO they can get more funding

A: (user) I think ICONOMI made a smart move. He helped set up a Cofound.it, which will ensure ICONOMI to have High Quality Data for investing in ICNP. We investors in ICONOMI are co-owners of Cofound.it. This Will Help ICONOMI to have quality data for investment, but will not have to pay development costs. This was very smart move. This will allowe ICONOMI faster to develop basic idea of the Digital Asset Arrays PLATFORM, but the ICO Evaluation, will become the primary task of Cofound.it

This is huge signal for people that now it is not much to see the ICN going to the sky. This market is about to explode as team was very visionary and wise to invest the collected money in right projects. They have more than enough funds now to take the price where they want using those.

move that crypto
An Early Analysis of the Effect of Iconomi's Buyback Program:

So far, my theory has held up very nicely -- every time someone tries to push the price below the support line that represents the "fair consensus value" (perhaps in an attempt to trigger a short-term panic sell), the negative action has always resulted in a defeat, and the price always bounce back within a 1 - 2 hours time frame.

It would suggest the dumpers' ability to manipulate the price & trigger a panic dump has largely been hampered. The main reason is this -- sudden (downward) movement in price no longer has such psychological effect and impact on investor's confidence as before (no more knee-jerk reaction). Investor's confidence can no longer be shattered or influenced easily because of the new safety-net policy installed in place (buyback program). That is the main reason why price can no longer be manipulated in a negative way by any individual. Keep in mind that price manipulation is usually a psychological reaction, and NOT tied to any actual news event.

It also means that the "buyback program" has really serves its role & function as the new anti-dumping defense mechanism -- as soon as an ICN token's price deviates too much from its "fair consensus value," it automatically get scooped up by the investors. To be more precise, the "buyback program" has inadvertently introduced a "race situation":  Whenever a dumping event occurs, every investor must now compete with each other to scoop up the ICN token before it get caught by the safety net (whether real or imaginary).  That's the reason why we can safely assume that the price will always return to the support line representing the fair valuation.

AS we can see, the new "buyback program" does not only affect the economics of the ICN ecosystem, it also has a psychological component as well. The two most important factors introduced by the "buyback program" are as followed:

1) Boost in investor confidence as a result of new safety-net policy in place and the "fear-for-scarcity" factor.

2) New "race situation" introduced by the safety-net: Now investors do not just compete with each other, they must also compete with the safety-net, whether real or imaginary.  The safety net is like an "invisible hand" that keeps everyone in check.

In addition to prevent malicious dumping, the new buyback program also has a price stabilizing effect -- it works to keep the price within the consensus range. and punish those who try to change the natural course of pricing movement through abnormal intervention.
