No ico not same as 2017 ico. 2018 too many scam ico and they will run after ico like denaro. You need to be very carefull about ico now. Also the market is still not sure where to go either bullish or bearish. If the market goes bullish like last year flipper probably will win again for buying in ico but if the market goes to bearish phase we will see many ivo failed to collect money. The most legot in my opinion is auctus and essentia for now.

I kind of like the new model Vitalik came up with - DAICO. Do you know about it? I know some gaming platform Abyss was launched this way, I'm curious to see if the model holds up. I agree with you. All IСO's I invested now are traded below the purchase price. And this makes me very sad.
Yeah, the whole market is not doing to well, but I personally am very careful about ICOs, it's too tricky. I like projects that have working products/ecosystems or company behind it. Very rarely I find something that doesnt seem like a pure money grab. Either way, hope this year clears out the market a bit from the bad projects. Bittrex has laready started pruning, I think it's good, but market wise its bit tough now.

So there was always going to be a struggle for coins to shoot right up after ICO launch completion. Another reason tied to this is that bounty participant who were given "free" tokens are most likely selling theirs for a more valuable coin, given the current market and dipping the price of this coin. Also for bounty participants they may not actually believe in the long term of the project, so hence why they sell. So as an individual investor, again, it very important to do thorough research into the project before you invest, especially if you are in for the short-term of it. because if you are in for the long term, you wouldn't really worry about the dips now.

It has been like this for some time now and it has nothing to do with 2018. Although, we are in a down trend, so it is normal. Secondly, we also have to ask ourselves that who is actually selling their coins below the ICO prices?
Normally, no sane investor would sell for loss, so that brings us down to the bounty hunters and really it is becoming appalling because no bounty hunter should also be stupid enough to sell way below the ICO price, but it is market, so we cannot force anyone, whoever wants to hold is going to hold and whoever believes in the project would buy more if it gets lower.

I know some ICO owners who constantly create ICO using different business model and hiring fake people to act infront of public. They are making ICO bad and a pump and dump scheme.
