I keep getting mining penalties on my vps. I am not really sure what is causing it. I keep it updated/upgraded and rebooted every 24. My ipfs is cleared. This last time it crashed within 8 hours of last reboot while I was sleeping. I think it must be on my end, I'm just not sure what is causing it.

Is mining on Vps still profitable I used to mine IDENA on VPS back when the mining rewards were still high, I want to come back mining with IDENA but with 5 Idena you are getting daily, is it still worth mining it on VPS and is VULTR still the best VPS for IDENA, I hope I can get a good answer from miners who uses VULTR.

Price is 0.13$ per coin, and it is not profitable in a way that you will get rich by daily selling. But the price will go up and it will be worth it. It still generates enough coins and it is profitable.
Visit idena.site and you will find information there. Using links mentioned in FAQ section of VPS you will come across referal links that will give you 2 months FREE with DigitalOcean and 1 month free with Vultr. It is enough to keep you going, 3 free months. Later you can use Hetzner or whatever you prefer.
When you use Vultr, just avoid Frankfurt Ubuntu servers, go with Amsterdam one. Better experience.

The last time I mined I'm using VULTR because of the bonus, but now that I just come back here I'm also looking for a better option and it seems this one is a good one, I hardly mine and just getting my IDENA through validation which I have passed 4 times, I hope the same configuration is the same as that of VULTR.

If you are getting idena from validation only i suggest you to give up on your own node and paid servers. You can use web client- https://idena.io/?view=webclient and shared node from other users - I suggest to visit https://node.idena.site/ - rioda (community dev) service.

Uh, no. By becoming member of idena, you are validating your identity in anonymous (non-KYC) way. By validating yourself, you prove to the idena network that you are unique person and with that you can run your own idena node and receive rewards.

Idena is really unique the only one with this kind of algo, there are so many changes and so many new features implemented, it's much easier to pass validation now, compared to a year ago, I'm still hoping that it can get listed in a much better exchange like Kucoin or Binance, so it gets the attention, it deserves to be in a good position in the market.

Is this what I call tokenizing oneself? What I mean is , if a movie star wants to have a value for himself/herself via this platform, can this be possible?

How did you get that broken link? I want to fix it and improve experience.
What OS and browser are you using?

For me, Win/Firefox, if you click on link icon or title, copies this link
https://idena.site/faq/idena-node-on-raspbery-pi-4

And when you visit it, it opens and focuses you on that exact post.

Which install process you follow? Can you post here all your steps which you doing?
I'm thinking to move the node on Pi, but I think that 2GB is not enough. I see many complains from people who are running a node on a VPS server with 1GB even there are servers with much powerful CPU than on Rasp. Pi.

just followed this https://idena.site/faq/#openidena-node-on-raspbery-pi-4
as i said i have 600-700Mb free memory running node, so 1GB is not enough but 2GB can work.

Running on pi 4? What specs?
Post on idena.site is just a recolection of things that I ran into while chatting with users who tried using pi. I myself don't have one and can not tell if it works and how well.

Pi 4 - 2GB ram with no desktop, golang 1.6, i have no problem following tutorial, idena node builds correctly and everything seems to work.
i have installed it 4 times from scratch and always fails at the same time.
first installation was node 0.24.1 with golang 1.5, i took 10 hours to synchronize with no problem till the last  process batch when it fails. free memory was more than 700M so i dont think its a memory problem.
second installation was node 0.24.2 with golang 1.6, 10 hours to synchronize till the last process batch when it fails again. Again more than 600Mb of free memory.
third and fourth installation , i downloaded idenachain.db for fast synchronization but happens the same, synchronize some process batch and fails at the last one.
and always when it fails stdout.log tells me same errors:
--invalid block roots
--invalid max fee
--peer has been banned

I tried to email at [email protected] but hey!! surprise, my gmail returns the mails saying its not working. i joined telegram group to ask some admin but no response from devs, so i post here waiting to see if someone did the same and could fix it.
