IEO didn't put an end to the scam. IEO promoted scam tokens to a new level when you look at how many projects cts have exit scam since the onset of IEOs. Exchnage were supposed to do a thorough background chack before carrying out any IEO for any project but some exchnage doesn't.
IEO is better than ICO but IEO is held every few months and selection of projects to participate is very difficult and finally good projects will still choose ICO so ICO will not be abandoned
Though you forgets that there is a thread that's common with the two fundraising. Well, ICO was known to be doing good when it all started but later got into some wrong hands that tend to take advantage of the platform for scamming. Also, IEO has been on the increase since inception but had started getting negativity like ICO, scammers has started using the said IEOs to scam gullible out of their funds.
Conclusively, the two types of fundraising are the same and one is not different from another as the two are been used by scammers around the world.
IEO is still a good choice if they're going on top Exchanges, the downside of IEO is if they use small Exchanges, small exchanges don't always do good for new projects

We are in 2020 now and there is an ongoing pandemic which is affecting many new projects, ICO is a bad idea today and even IEO is not good enough either, my advice is to choose IEO, even if an IEO takes place on binance in this pandemic it will still be successful
IEO is not bad, but so many projects that appear but not so good quality. in the way of selling, IEO is very good at the moment, it can even be said that IEO has replaced the current ICO at 90% increase, it's just that now it is very rare for IEO projects to conduct initial sales in large markets such as finance, and others.

In view of my experience, it's smarter to invest in IEO than in ICO. Since plainly IEO projects have favorable circumstances tokens that we purchase surely enter exchanges, this makes it simpler for us to sell tokens. Not at all like ICO projects that frequently happen neglected to enter exchanges, this makes us lose cash in light of the fact that the tokens we purchase can't be sold. Indeed, even so pick the IEO projects held by well known and trusted exchanges, so as to stay away from us from scammers

Nevertheless i have observed a trend. The numbers in the ICO market have been declining but stayed fairly stable in 2019. The main reason for moving on to IEOs was the astonishing amount of scams that had flooded the market, since it was easy to make a lot of money.
This move to IEOs has something good. I believe that as harder it gets to hold an ICO as more the projects have to do to convince potential investors. Scammers want easy money and my hope is that the ICO market will come back slowly. Projects that will hold an ICO have to invest more time to convince people.
I sadly had to accept that those who scammed investors destroyed the dream of projects with little money that have great ideas. To hold an ICO and build a community of investors around it is a great way to fund your project without going to big VC firms. Unfortunately those you scammed investors destroyed the ICO market till now and it will take a lot of time to recover.
I have accepted that IEOs are currently the way to fund a project. The only thing that worries me is the power we give those exchanges. Is it really god idea to give that much power to exchanges in the cryptomarket.

At the time when ICOs appeared on the market, they really made a splash and all ICOs were successful. It is understandable, since then the ICO was small and it was a novelty that the invoices liked. Then there was the growth of the crypto market and the success of the ICO was at its best. But after, as the market went for a correction, many ICOs could not raise enough money and some of them could not achieve success. All this opened the way for scammers and many investors fell into the trap. Now a new IEO model has come to replace the ICO, but it also does not always show a good result. I think the problem is that everyone wants just money, and nobody wants to work on the success of their project. Still, the problem is not in the ICO or IEO models themselves, the problem is in the admins of these projects themselves. Greed and greed prevent them from working honestly and for the good of the community.
no longer with ICO & IEO, I personally have stopped investing in ICO or IEO projects. at the moment I am more focused on investing in coins, especially top coins in the market, but next time if I find a prize program that I think is worth it, then I will take part in it and invest in the project.
Maybe I go for IEO because less scam projects than ICO, but seems IEO trend is getting slow, many projects were failed. Maybe the project is bad I guess? Well hope this year 2020 more legit projects will rise.

Yeah! I lose my interest since that year, I no longer participated in any ICO's , I also lose my trust in them, but since IEO is now in the market, the only project that I am giving my interest is when their IEO is being listed in a top exchange, having a telegram regular updates, having a social media accounts are active and especially if their project is highly profitable. I also left the ICO investment since Q3 2018, and it was very disappointing, I know how you felt when you were hit by a fraud project, I hope you can be lucky in the future.
The reason why I like ICO better than IEO is because of the embracement from investors at that time, to be honest ICO was more successful, it's something we can't see anymore since trust issue is the main problem of crypto now especially brand new projects
ICO is never coming back no matter how much you hoped for it to, any new project that tries to use ICO to raise fund will be generally disappointed because they won't get near softcap at all, for IEO it's been said hundreds of time already to stay with Top exchanges
That's right, for new projects that use their fundraising with ICO, the project will never find success, because investors have looked more at IEO and left ICO, so don't expect success in projects that still use ICO.What power are you talking about? Just because exchanges are the only thing standing between investors and new projects doesn't actually mean power, they are taking a big risk as well, once a good exchange introduce a IEO project that scam people that's the end for such exchange, they just ruined their reputation and no body will trust them again
In a rational world that is what it will happen but it is not true, many exchanges have released a bunch of projects that did not had any success and they are still very popular despite all of this.Exchanges for some reason do not seem to be held accountable for what happens with the coins they support and until this changes they are going to keep supporting those projects since there are no negative consequences for their actions.
I stopped investing in ICO projects since 2018, i don't have the courage to invest in IEO projects until they start trading on exchanges after several months because many are scam and hyped projects that have nothing to offer

Well.. have you checked the charts for BNB lately? A few months back, it was trading at $35 per coin. And now the exchange rate is about 50% lower than that level. From what I have seen so far, you can never trust an exchange. No one knows when it will get hacked. Exchanges such as Cryptopia had millions of users and it was trusted by a lot of the users. But we all know what happened to that exchange last year.
This doesnt only applied on BNB itself but also on other exchange tokens as well.We know that nothing do goes to our hopes and expectations.
We know on how market works and there would be ups and downs.The good thing here is that we do still see Binance is doing well inspite of all the issues
that it do experience.

The aim of IEO and ICO is to provide the project with the necessary funds. However, there are some differences between IEO and ICO. And I prefer IEO because of these differences. Because IEO is organized by an exchange. And exchanges are investigating that project before launching IEO. Therefore for me, the IEOs organized by the top exchanges are more reliable than the ICO.
In IEO we can see on where does the devs and the team plans to list their coin. I might say that if they will be listed in a well known exchange there could be higher possibility that the coin has a big fund that even though IEO is not yet done they has a fund for everything and plans for everything. ICO for me is not reliable now, due to my past experiences.
I think ieo is batter than ico. But it's totally depends on project. In beginning project seems good, but after ico or ice coin price drop. So i think buy coin from exchange.
