I'm not really sure for what will happen, but i think no I guess that's the chance for another coin to pursue the bitcoin success that ever happened, but it also depends the reason why bitcoin die.

For real! No one is really sure. The death of any currency is dependent on the users, its general acceptance, and the demand for usage. If everyone decides to want to shift to probably ethereal today, well apparently, ethereum steps up! However, I am not sure such scenario may happen. But come to think of it, looking at the effect bitcoin has with dragging all cryptos with it whenever a huge downtrend or negative mews occur for bitcoin, sometimes it makes it hard to know what Could happen if bitcoin dies. Well, with all that being said, I totally believe bitcoin is here to stay.

Bitcoin and altcoin is very different and independent. Until now there is still an unfixed currency exchange for altcoin. Its unfair to say that one will shut down if the other goes down also. Altcoin by now is trying to be a counterpart of bitcoin there is so many ways for altcoin to be active.

altcoin will stand alone, ethereum and some altcoin can be exchanged with fiat, but if the bitcoin connotation die is because the price is destroyed then altcoin will also follow it and have to fight back from the bottom. many people think altcoin is a bitcoin follower but that is not at all true because altcoin is created from different crypto algorithms.

what did you mean about "die"? if the reason of bitcoin die because of popularity and make some rate of bitcoin drop i think the altcoin will not die, because altcoin is different from bitcoin, they walk in different parh, but maybe just decrease the price of bitcoin.
but if the bitcoin die biecause of all government in the world banned bitcoin and make bitcoin illegal, i think altcoin and bitcoin will die after that news come out

Altcoins are not really dead, but it will lose some of its power and it may not be good enough to invest in different altcoins because I think altcoins depend on the value of bitcoin. Without bitcoin how would you convert and get your salaries in the form of altcoins? You need a swap to officially accept your paycheck and then you can do whatever you want with it.

and I also think that BTC will not die because they can change the protocol if that will happen

If bitcoins somehow go to 0, 90% of the market will go to 0. That's how everything works in cropland except a very select few coins and / or the coins that are currently being pumped and manipulated.

I think it does because almost of the altcoins depend on bitcoin. Also, bitcoin is the origin of all altcoins so if the origin dies so does the followers.

to my knowledge, if bitcoin will die then altcoin will also automatically die because if seen from the sequence of some coin coin available, altcoin is under bitcoin and also bitcoin is the parent of altcoin.
We should be as bitcoin users should keep as hard as possible so that bitcoin does not die and also can develop our day to day life such as giving the need that feels less complete.

Their is no end to Bitcoin and it will run for longlife because of its usability in nature. For the altcoins it might die when Bitcoin dies because of Bitcoin Popularity. These all coins came after Bitcoin so they won't alive if Bitcoin is totally banned in every country.

Bitcoin has a large history so we see it will be more in future as people are increasing to use daily. People here making panics after China Announcements, but nothing will be done to Bitcoin.

I do not think so, bitcoin users will divert to a better altcoin. we all know that many of the weaknesses of bitcoin are found after 9 years, other issues such as segwit are also things that make users confused.
It is not as easy, if bitcoin disappeared the amount of instability that will hit the markets will be enormous, something like we have never seen, think about this, people panicked with the crash a few days ago, what do you think it is going to happen if bitcoin really died? The crash will kill most altcoins too since everyone will want to withdraw to fiat almost immediately and no one will want to be left with a bag of coins.

It might depend on the reason why Bitcoin can die. In case when the death is due to total ban of Bitcoin as done by all governments or regimes then there is a possibility that Bitcoin death can also mean the death of altcoins. Now, if the reason can be other than that or it is within Bitcoin like losing the appeal from the market then there is a possibility that another coin can rise up to take the vacuum of leadership.

Yeah, 100% agree with this. A full bitcoin ban would be a cryptocurrency ban in my eyes. A loss of BTC appeal would not be a loss of cryptocurrency appeal.

wrong one of the crypto must have replaced it as the most popular. they are cycles. so I guess the possibility that you say is very difficult to happen.

It is true, it is depend by the problem or by banning because if you say that only bitcoin can die, meaning bitcoin did die but not all crypto do die but if they said that any coin cannot be accepted in any things this is all crypto can be die.

I dont think if Bitcoin die, altcoin will also die. I even think it is an opportunity for altcoin to be famous and some of the Bitcoin investors might transfer to altcoin.
