Indeed, I think the current behavior of bitcoin carries a strange paradox: if the price remains as stable as it has been for a long time, many might think that the market has matured enough to mitigate the high volatility that has made it inconvenient for its adoption by large companies and stores.

Therefore, when they start to intensify its use this could rekindle the speculative wave that implies the desire to hoard bitcoins, which in turn would lead to an excessive increase in its price, so I think it is more likely that we will see a recovery very slow and gradual in the coming months.

I think that Bitcoin stability until the end of the year is neither good nor bad, because Bitcoin is not predictable. And this stability may be false.

One thing is now almost certain, that is , we are not going to have any bitcoin ETF approval this year with SEC rejecting the CBOE proposal for rule change.https://www.sec.gov/rules/sro/cboebzx/2018/34-84367.pdf  It will not be such a bad thing if the price of bitcoin remains fairly constant for a couple of months, it has helped me clear my head, made more rationale decisions  and re-balance my portfolio to better reflect the market.

If the price stays this way without further increase, it will be very bad. A lot of us bought some coins we have been waiting and hoping to see it rise in value. 2019 will be a longer wait than expected.

I think it's not good for the electronic money world. We need a development here. Of course, if the bitcoin price stabilizes at $ 6,000, it loses its appeal. Bitcoin attracts investors because it can create surprises in value. So it would not be good for the electronic world if it did not grow.

Bitcoin prices are still the same these days and it does not seem like it is moving up. At least not as high as everyone anticipates. If the price remains the same until next year and it stabilize at around $6000, do you think that it will be good for the crypto world or not? Say it does not go down below it, but it also still does not go higher than that, what do you think will be the repercussions to the market?
My personal opinion, as long it still stable it is already good for crypto community, what we need to change is market that exchange altcoin to bitcoin so it can circulate and market can move like in past.

I am sure that the price of bitcoin will not be the same until next year because the price of bitcoin is going up and down and what makes prices go up and down is the popes.
You can also see bitcoin history or see the bitcoin market price is always up and down and it happens only a matter of days so I think that there will not be any price of bitcoin at this time will be the same until next year.
bitcoin is now a very popular investment that will make bitcoin even higher.

If the price of Bitcoin the remains same for the period of more than a year then it is definitely a good sign for the crypto industry as it will invite conservative investors and prospective users to get involved with it. However, I don't see such possibility as institutional investors and big whales would definitely try to encash the opportunities arising out of momentum resulting in the volatility in the market.

I agree with you as we all know that the crypto market especially the value of bitcoin cannot remain same for a longer period of time because there are big whales whoa re involved in this field to fluctuate the market situation based on their need and normally they invest in a particular coin to increase it's value and when the users notice the increase in value of a particular coin they tend to invest in that coin which inreturn increases the value more and when it reaches the peak the whales cashout.

If the price of Bitcoin remains the same until the end of the year, then I think that in general it will be bad for cryptocurrency. Many will be disappointed and leave to engage in cryptocurrency and the market will decrease in volume. Many investors have now suffered heavy losses and if by the end of the year the market does not rise, the popularity of cryptocurrency will fall. However, on the other hand, such a stable price situation will help to improve the market.

I agree with you, if Bitcoin can be stable with its price, there is a possibility that Bitcoin will become digital money received throughout the country and when all that happens, the value of Bitcoin will become more expensive, because the Bitcoin distribution is limited and users will increase

Once the price of Bitcoin remains at around $6000, some investors will suppose that Bitcoin can not make profits more so they will leave out of Bitcoin. That is the bad situation which noone wants to happen with Bitcoin. Bitcoin is to invest; therefore; the price of BItcoin should be fluctuated.

Bitcoin is a currency, and it is better for businesses if bitcoin have a more stable price. Only speculators and those who wanted to get rich quick will be saddened if ever bitcoin reach a state where it is stable in terms of price.

Of course, If Bitcoin remains price, Bitcoin will be to trade but not to invest. No longer, Bitcoin will be popular with transaction ways. Even I concern that Bitcoin will soon become global curren used to purchase goods. Anyway, this way can spread Bitcoin widely in the world.

Well I think if the price of Bitcoin can stabilize at $ 6000, it will be good for the market. The price doesn't fluctuate strongly which makes people don't worry more about losing money. Besides, remaining price helps Bitcoin become more believable when trading. Specially, the stable price of Bitcoin can make Bitcoin easily trade in the market all around the world.

Regardless of price, best time to buy is when we have money, in the year the crypto price falls and if you feel you have big capital then you can buy it. The most important thing is knowledge, because with knowledge you can determine when buying and selling.

That's price stability and IMO, that is actually great since merchants would somewhat reconsider in accepting bitcoin as a payment option. Number one enemy of merchants when it comes to accepting bitcoin is the price volatility. They are afraid that they would lose profits if they hold on to bitcoin for long, and securing a third-party payment processor would also cost them some $$$ on the side. Needless to say, the stagnant price would urge merchants to accept it and see whether it will be better for their business or not.

There are benefits in that aspect - having stable market price. With more and more merchants that might consider accepting crypto as payment, it means, more adoption of the usage of cryptocurrencies. Price volatility is one major hindrance in exhausting bitcoin's full potential in the ecommerce industry.
Thus, it will slowly create high demand of bitcoin in the market, and eventually increase its value.
But you'll never know what the future holds for bitcoin. The price can change easily.
So, if the price of bitcoin stabilize do you think that that could be the start of mass adoption of bitcoin since we are approaching the digital age anyway? Meaning that it may become a "global" currency like everyone hopes it will be someday?

A steady price would be a best case scenario for Bitcoin; however, it would also indicate that adoption has stagnated, which is bad at this point.
How do you think adoption due to price stabilization will be bad for crypto?

i don't know about "crypto world" but it is a very good thing for bitcoin at least because of a couple of reasons.
the stability will make the newbies who wanted to become rich with bitcoin overnight to leave the market. in other words the weak hands who FOMO buy and PANIC sell are flushed out of the market and market is cleansed. so the volatility will be reduced even further.
all this stability will make bitcoin be a currency more as people have always been complaining about it and saying it is the reason why they don't use bitcoin as a currency, now they wouldn't have any more excuses.
But if those people leave, will it not be bad for the crypto world because then there will be less users? You are right, though. If the price of bitcoin stabilize and perhaps the price will rise only gradually unlike how the price changes now, then perhaps those who wanted to get into bitcoin will be encouraged to finally use it. What do you think?

I was thinking about this, too. If bitcoin price stabilize then perhaps the merchants will start accepting bitcoins. It could very well be the safest way to pay for expensive purchases, right?
