Mate you did not mention BNB? well it's your opinion, for me, If i am to invest 40k for five year, I will pick maybe only three coins, BTC, ETH and BNB that's the coins i can risk the 40 dollars for the next five years.

I think the sequence is still the best so far obviously Bitcoin, Ethereum and the rest you can allocate on BNB, ADA is and I don't think it needs too much but a little and there is certainty that can give hope.
because with a little being able to always check every time the movement is happening, because with lots of purchases it will actually make you confused.
I have a suggestion that BNB is right to be used as an extra allocation, because 2021 is very good and increases significantly.
Making billions from 40k$ very difficult. Bitcoin can make a lot of people rich, you know that bitcoin's existence, sustainability and main nature is to increase over time. Not only does bitcoin create one-time opportunities where you can buy and hold it as part of a $40k investment process, bitcoin doesn't make you rich quick, it boosts your awareness of yourself. and education about financial management. from there you have more opportunities to get rich.

In my personal view I think depending on doge coin will not be wise decision yes it is true that Cryptocurrencies can make a person zero to hero I mean millionaire so it can be also true for doge coin, I guess. But I think it's only because of Elon Musk in the background that it's on so much hype now. None of this coins can make you a billionaire and that's because none of them can do a 100x and even if they did, that'll only take you to millions and it means you'll be a millionaire. Been a millionaire in USD is a big deal as I believe having $4million converted to your own countries currency would be very big. If you want to invest and Bitcoin a billionaire in the next bull market then you have to go for low market projects.
Your choices are just safe choices and mightn't make you much profits but they're good selection when you remove $ADA $VET and $SOL. Solana is a dead project and just waiting for the whales to dump then the market will collapses. Bitcoin and Ethereum been included is a good choice because with those two projects, you can be assured of some profits no matter the movement the market goes. Lastly I won't choose just one project to invest all that amount inside.
I'll split them in different projects just Incase one was to die that doesn't mean I have lost all my investment. Altcoins are very unpredictable so is best to invest in many instead just one.

But if you ask what would be good alternative coins to be invested (beside BTC and ETH) with your 40.000 US Dollar, i will suggest Monero XMR because so far it has good potential. Monero is one of the most trusted and high privacy crypto currency which is needed by most of cryptocurrency users.
To be very honest if i had 40k$ to invest I would make sure to not make a big blunder by investing all of that money into a single coin, I’d rather invest that amount into multiple coins just to be safe. Speaking of coins to invest if you are going to put all your money into one single coin then I’d suggest to invest in stable coins that doesn’t fluctuate alot but that’s not going to help you because a billionaire anytime soon. If you however do you wanna take high risk High reward then invest all your money into LTC, XMR , ADA or SOL.
You've added some top altcons but not all of them are worth selecting to add in portfolio, I'm still focusing on bitcoin and only a few other altcoins, I think I'll allocate 50% to bitcoin and the rest to top altcoins ETH and BNB, so I'm focusing on altcoins that has a high chance of recovering from market conditions and when bitcoin increases, the two altcoins will also have the impact of recovering from the correction.

Bitcoin or ethereum will be the obvious choice. I could buy a whole bitcoin with that budget and just wait for years to grow. I won't take the risk on investing on other altcoins since trends changes and the likelihood that they can be replaced next bull market is high. Choosing a meme coin like DOGE or Shib is just for mad lad. I personally don't want to risk that kind of money into something that is very high risk. The chances of you getting a higher profit on meme coins or dog coins is high but the risk of you losing is much higher in my opinion. I would probably take the safe way and invest on the proven and tested bitcoin and the number one altcoin which is eth.
DOGE, ADA AND SHIB might make you a billionaire with the capital you have. but remember the word warren buffet don't put many eggs in the same basket
$40,000 is a lot of money for me. If I had the opportunity to evaluate such a large amount of money, I would definitely not make choices that involve too much risk, and I would sit back after buying Bitcoin from the stock market and withdrawing it to my personal wallet. If I wanted to take a little risk, my second choice would definitely be Ethereum. If I wanted to take a little more risk, my third choice would be not to buy cryptocurrencies because I cannot trust other cryptocurrencies for 5 years.
