I think his absence en the mystery around Satoshi is what makes bitcoin great. I don't think he/she would/should reveal hilself/herself.
What do you think that will happen once the real Satoshi reveals himself (and proves that he created Bitcoin)? Will Bitcoin ever be the same? Will governments try to pursue Satoshi and put him in jail?
This will be something interesting to know, once it happens (if it ever does) sometime in the future. Please feel free to share your thoughts here.
I think even the founder/creator of bitcoin reveal himself in our time now, I don't think it can give an effect to increase the value of bitcoin, because without him bitcoin became popular because of the high demand of the users all around the world. Though, Mr. Nkamoto Satoshi was really landmark the famous one creator of digital world of currency. This was just my opinion and point of view every one is free to give their side of view in this matter. This will be something interesting to know, once it happens (if it ever does) sometime in the future. Please feel free to share your thoughts here.
The bitcoin community does not need satoshi nakamoto but what they need is the creation of nakamoto which is bitcoin. For how many years bitcoin have flourished and the community placed its loyalty and support to the first cryptocurrency that existed in the world. Even without the creator in the open it became independent and started growing in value. If Nakamoto nowadays will show himself people will not mind and just think that he is another fraud pretending to be the real one.
That wouldn't weaken bitcoin.
I think it might actually strengthen it because then it would have a spokesperson on it's positives that it can do for humanity as a whole instead of the opposite that it has befallen it with all the bad press that it's gotten in the past when it was first introduced.

I think there is no reason for any government to put him in jail in the first place. Also I don't think if Satoshi reveals himself it will affect the price of Bitcoin in any way directly. But indirectly it might affect the price if there will be a lot of news about him around and thus more people will know about Bitcoin and more people will start using it. Then the price of BTC will rise.
It might so. If Satoshi gets revealed, then I believe that there would be massive hype all over from mainstream media, to everyday people talking about the digital currency and investing into it massively. But there could also exist the possibility for governments to pursue Satoshi for taxes, and other purposes as most of them would want to cease BTC from existing.
Nowadays, Bitcoin is doing fine even without Satoshi. It is being actively developed and maintained by its own community, which is a good thing and will help it maintain its place for years to come by. Just sharing my thoughts.

I think, will be very many people who try to take advantage of this opportunity, and maybe the world will be on view bitcoin high.
I do not think lots will invest in him. There are lots of flaw in his creation that the current group of devs are fixing. Aside from that I am sure that lots of traders will worry because there is a chance of those 1m of bitcoin be dumped in the market. A possible affect on price to decline. Depends on how severely manipulators FUD the market and spread wrong gossip and idea.

Of course, I can imagine a scenario where he comes out and says, "Bitcoin Core [or unlimited or classic or whatever] has the best solution," that would almost certainly tip things instantly and massively in favor of whomever he endorsed. Given the inventiveness and originality of the original bitcoin concept and early development, however, I suspect his solution would be some heretofore unguessed approach to the issues facing the modern day bitcoin movement.

I think no one will believe because there are so many people that try to tell they are Satoshi Nakamoto and they're not. But if he really reveals himself, we need him to help the people responsible for making a solution about the bitcoin's problem.
We really need him, community needs him badly, there is no need for him to show his face and become a showman just becomes active here in this forum or the new forum where they can ensure the total security and anonymity by spending 1BTC from the first 100 mined blocks so that we know it's not an impostor.

We have just problems if Satoshis reveals, as most countris conside it ilegal, and not supporting, jail should be the place that would waiting him at this moment. Besides those huge problem some people would left if they see the creator is a bad person or some crazy person, the media would attack him too deeply, besides the fact that someone would get interested into their coins instant.
it doesn't makes any sense to take away satoshi to jail once he reveal himself. some institutions even propose him to receive a nobel prize in economics , really he deserve for that, how could you say so bad like that? seems like you are talking baseless full of speculation. bitcoin have done a lot of wonderful and helpful things in world economy and finance , nothing bad behind. I thinkwe will not see never any proves about who is Satoshi. At cryptocurrencies, where the creator is known, or simply hiding behind a pseudonym, but continues to develop, there is always the credibility of the developer in some form. I'm sure he destroyed the keys, destroyed all passwords to the accounts and all sorts of the ability ever to prove that he is Satoshi. In addition, this is just common sense, if you want to stay alive after this creation.

Satoshis return could be received with mixed feelings... Banks would want to you his expertise to use the blockchain tech in the banking sector and other industries, his critics would want him to prove his the real Nakomoto, maybe bitcoin could get a much bigger following with his return as the founder!

Well Satoshi's anonymity has mystified Bitcoin and I think that has contributed positively to people's crave for more information about this cryptocurrency and the blockchain technology. Should he decide to reveal his identity today I believe there could be some consequences for both Bitcoin and himself: first I think the governments might pursue him to declare him s intentions for this technology and then eliminate him afterwards and secondly there will be a major boost for Bitcoin in terms of popularity and price especially if the governments succeed in eliminating him.

But I think that if satoshi introduced himself, then it's not that I worry about.
