although this possibility is low and probably won't happen. but I want to ask you. if the bear market starts next month, and bitcoin falls below 20k.

In bear market you should expect Bitcoin decrease 80% in value so from $60k to $12k if bear market starts now.  It will of course not happen immediately but will take over a year time. Hopefully we will see Bitcoin price way over $60k so that 80% drop will not be so low. Smiley
I even think differently from you...
Bitcoin price won't drop more than $ 40k or around 30% from its current price. I think that the Bitcoin bear market this year is only around minus 30% or 40% of its current price.

Bitcoin still moving strong and with how the corrections being overcome for the past few weeks, still showing bullish, and we are still in the $50K level. Your assumption still positive might experienced some correction to the point that it will hit that low, but after that it possibly bounce back just how it's doing right now.

Bear market or correction is always around, always depending from how investors and traders will support the market.

It will fall next month or the month after the next month.
A bull market never last for life time. It will collapse one day cause nothing is permanent. Its been a long time since bull market took place. So its better to withdraw your funds gradually. Cause it may go down easily in just 2 or 3 days.
So be careful

To be honest, nobody is prepared for that. There are will be a lot of panics and FUD. Maybe even suicide hotline number will be pinned in reddit
Why did it happen?
If you don't want to regret and lose assets why not sell and exit the market now?

the market potential is still strong, some corrections are already taking place but bitcoin and ETH look strong in the market. price fixes are happening fast and I don't think there's anything to worry about for this market in the next 1-2 months. just enjoy the altcoin season which will take turns experiencing the hype.

I think bear market will not happen next month or next year because this year the price is rising and we are experience still the bullish market and we earn profit. Ethereum and ripple will be good also during the bear market but we are not sure about that because as of now we are see the coins are pumping and most of it are increase many times from the value in the last several years.

Op was presumably traumatized by the bear market Smiley

We must stop reasoning by seeing only extreme periods in my opinion. We can be in a slightly declining market without being in a 'bear market'. It is first of all a question of knowing what is the definition of a bear market. In my opinion, this implies a notion of relatively long duration. Some do not hesitate to talk about bear market after ... two days of declining market ... Roll Eyes

Clearly you haven't studied Bitcoin cycles. There will be a prolonged bear market, not just slightly declining but rapidly and your bags will be worthless again, with 99% of the tokens you are holding becoming totally useless and abandoned.

Maybe he is comparing to what happened in the previous years. But this year, the rise of bitcoin is different as there are many big players that are into crypto right now. From the time the OP created this thread, the btc price is about $49k, and look at what we have now, almost 55k, or in this past week, btc managed to keep above $50k. So do you think we are in the bear market comparing to OP's price at the time of his writing? Definitely not, we can say, that we are still in the bullish season and that contradicts the history.

Lol! This is funny that you think any altcoin will survive. Just watch them drop 90% and then another 90%. If you think anything will survive it won't be even Tether.

Bitcoin if it goes to a price of 20k $ is very unreasonable in my opinion and if it goes to that price it is likely that it will stay above the binance coin, ethereum, uni

I don’t know the ones that are going to be standing at high prices when the Bears hit the market, but I don’t think that these top altcoins will be increasing when the Bears arrive , they are likely to start going down with bitcoin when the time comes, since that’s what they do best, correlating with Bitcoin and they are doing this most of the time, although they are not going to fall heavily like Bitcoin when the times comes.

Ripple has been facing a lot this year and if Bears should hit, it might be affected and might fall and decrease in price. It has already gone down the coinmarketcap list

Ripple lost his tops spot from CMC and if the bear appear just like what you are thinking it will go with

the flow. Investors are the one who will dictate the fate of any project if they lose hope due to falling

market if not all the project inside, the big part of this market will fall and experienced the bearish

downside.

If the bear market happens, expect the majority of the cryptocurrencies experience crashes but for sure that there will be some coin that will be against the trends or what they call outliers. For me the best thing that we should when the bear arrives is to stay in cash wherein we should not hold any coin other than USDT. Stable coins like USDT can help us to prevent to hold coins that will experience many dumps.

I do not know when the bear market will finally happen but be sure that we are ready because there is no such thing a forever uptrend so be sure that we already have plans whenever the bear market appear. The best thing to do right now is to backtest on what happen when the bear market appear on the year 2018, a lot of coin dump wherein a lot get delisted. Major panic happen and only few cryptocurrencies survive.

of course, people who have understood and have seen the crypto market move in bears and bulls. The situation when the bears come will put all crypto assets in decline, and there will be a lot of adoption of stable assets. but to see assets that could withstand the bear season that may come in the future. I don't think anyone can hold their position when the bear has eaten it all.
what is certain is, altcoins will be corrected along with bitcoin. and the best alternative is stable assets.

although this possibility is low and probably won't happen. but I want to ask you. if the bear market starts next month, and bitcoin falls below 20k. which altcoins were still able to survive and which altcoins are feeling the big impact of the bear trend.

we exclude stablecoins, because after all the market situation this coin will definitely be stable.

so I think Ethereum can still survive and that Ripple will be one of the biggest impact altcoins during the bear market.
Even when things are going so well, there's are still alot fear and uncertainty, it's clearly written that bitcoin is going to moon probably till the end of this year maybe, currently I don't think bitcoin can go below $20k , it will take alot of bad news to make bitcoin dump to that level, and there is any bad news just good news from all angles so bitcoin will keep pumping, but if eventually the dumping starts every single altcoin in the market will be affected excluding stablecoins, eth can even dump back to $100 no altcoin will be able to withstand the dump no matter their community support.

The chances are very thin that BTC will fall below 20K but you never know  this is crypto space any thing can happen any time,. All technical gurus believe that BTC will stay above 50K and strong possibility exists that it might hit 70K during 2021. As long as BTC stays above 50K, the alts will continue performing. I think Polkadot, ADA, LINK and  LTC are good projects and they have not shown their real colour as yet. We might see good rally in these alts in coming weeks and months.

At the current situation it could be slim, but basing on the history, that is so possible as bear market could make the price go dump further. BTC dropped $3,000 if people still remember during the last bear market, so $20k from $60k or $70k if btc achieve it is not impossible, not even a thin chance as you were saying.

If bearish will start happening next month, that's our best opportunity to grab specially when bitcoin and other alts will go down. Be smart to purchase promising coins and fill your wallet up with good amount to invest, because you won't notice it will acquire a very much higher value when it recovers.
Indeed, but for those who buy at highs, they'll start to scratch their head and worried so much seeing the declining trend.
Anyways, the coming trend still unknown, risk-takers will still able to hold and weak hands will definitely have to sell their assets once they saw the reds. This is a common scenario and I keep preparing for the buyback if ever there is a huge dump to happens next month.
That's true only a weak hand can trade their token into a low of price, Must better to think it first before we do something in trading because there are lost be happen on it so hold it for a while cause as of now the crypto are in a good condition. And well if have a huge dump in next month maybe we should prepare a buyback and choose those altcoins that would be a potential to increasing the price.

Don't worry Bitcoin won't fall below the $ 20k price, because I don't think it's possible for Bitcoin to fall that far. Knowing that many institutions
have invested in Bitcoin, this makes Bitcoin fundamentals even stronger. The possibility of Bitcoin falling the farthest in my opinion will only
reach $ 40k, and that's not going to happen anytime soon.

Then regarding the price of altcoins, if Bitcoin falls in price, the effect will be quite large, because we all know Bitcoin price movements can affect
the price of altcoins. Therefore if it is true that the Bitcoin price falls, as well as selling the altcoins that we have into stable coins. So the losses
we will experience will not be too big. Later, when the price of Bitcoin and altcoins is at a dip, we can start buying them again.
