I do not remember how many months each bull run lasted in the past rallies but if your calculation is true then we might be at the end of this rally in a couple of months but we cannot predict exactly the market situation because the adoption rate is increasing with the passing years and we have to assume that the first two rallies were by small time investors but now there are billions invested during this rally and the correction has to do with when these big investors will book their profit.
We cannot say that the first two rallies did not have any help from billionaires, there were huge investors who invested millions in the market and so was the reason the market started rallying the first time and then the last rally too we had huge investment from financial firms but those were not public knowledge but now investing in bitcoin is not a taboo anymore and hence you will hear many companies accept investing in bitcoin.

IIRC, the previous bull run which started last 2017, it happened in the last quarter of the year and lasted until the first quarter of the next year, so that's at least 6 months of bullish run but in the next year the market is not so bullish compared to the previous year so probably since we already in the last month of the first quarter, maybe the price will not be a bullish and correction will start, that's based on my personal analysis also and I could be wrong.

Maybe I don't think this month bitcoin will fall below $20k, maybe it's too far from the current price, although bitcoin is currently correcting and sideways.
It seems too soon to say that bitcoin will drop this month below $20k. But if that happens there will  certainly be a lot of  weak altcoins,  perhaps altcoins
that are at the lowest order in cmc. We have to be on guard for any eventuality that's going to happen.

although this possibility is low and probably won't happen. but I want to ask you. if the bear market starts next month, and bitcoin falls below 20k. which altcoins were still able to survive and which altcoins are feeling the big impact of the bear trend.

we exclude stablecoins, because after all the market situation this coin will definitely be stable.

so I think Ethereum can still survive and that Ripple will be one of the biggest impact altcoins during the bear market.

If we're speculating about xrp next month, the possibility would break the resistance right now and while price stabilized  within $0.4, we shouldn't give up. Bear market is the our biggest chance to purchase lower price asset, then fill our holdings. Choosing the right coin must be done, and don't hesitate if you see a good potential on it.

I may be wrong but Ripple will stay strong in the market even if the bear market sets in now, things are hanging in the Ripple case, unless there's negative feedback, in fact even if the market is in a bear trend if there is positive feedback on their case Ripple will have a big pump, compared to other coins Ripple is outperforming other coins in the market no wand this is very surprising.

You cant say that the possibility is low and probability for it not to happen because this one is really inevitable. We cant see a market doesnt really have a bearish run.
Therefore, you should really expect and anticipate for it to happen no matter what so that it wont really be giving some frustration on your part and also
you can able to see chances or opportunities for you to make to be at your advantage when you do buy on cheap coins instead of hesitating to do so.
Bare with the market condition and you would just fine.Dont panic and dont push up that negativity inside on your mind.

Define survive first. Survive means %95 loss but still in the market and have volume? Then you have a point. Ethereum will survive. Otherwise there is not single coin that can survive after Bitcoin price crash.
I don't think Bitcoin will see 20k USD again, even if it see that would be very short time and something like flash crash. I'm not expecting a bear market this month. All technical analysis' show the dip of the dip as over 34k USD. So 20k USD for a Bitcoin is a dream even in a bear market.

few days ago when the market going down deeply, a lot of people think if the bulls is over,
but in my opinion at this moment the bull will not over in this Q1 mate, maybe we will see a reversal of the trend in Q3 from this year buddy
by the way, when the bear coming i think most of TOP cryptocurrency will survive except Xrp

Bear already started and the altcoin start to suffer, the altcoin that i still hold at this time mostly on EOS and i spare some little lucky in CLO(small marketcap coin).
Started since when?

Since we got into a correction, you are already assuming that we're in the bear market? Not so quick. That's a common reaction of the market whenever it pumps.

There will sets of corrections that are inevitable.

I don't see the bearish happening anytime soon, I am waiting for the bullish market since 2018, and the bull market just started in October 2020, are you sure if we now enter the bear market? while the bull market has only been running for a few months, normally the market trend lasts for 1 year, it means that by the end of 2021 the bear market will begin,
This is just my simple analysis based on the history of the bitcoin chart.
I don't see it last for a year based on the last bull run.

Everything has change when Elon gives hype to the market and more people are buying crypto but the moment he stops being active in his tweet, that also the moment people started to sell off their cryptos. That is what is happening now and I also do think the market will fall if people do the worse and panic.

If the market will continue to behave like this and people don't stop selling their coins at low, we gonna expect a huge dump trend to follow. But hopefully, it never turns like that and we able to recover back shortly after these few declines.

Id be thankful if it just drop to 20k and unlike before which is 3k becaue that would literally make me rekt.... Most alts for sure will go down as well just like XRP but ETH i think might follow BTC as well look at its price playing around $1400-$1500

We never know when a bear market will occur, especially when the current market conditions have peaked so much. even if a bear market occurs, the already popular altcoins will remain
It's not true at all. The movement of top coins are following bitcoin and when bitcoin turn into the bearish mode and the altcoins will be following it, It can't be argued until the coins got a big update like ADA that can pump the price and create FOMO. You must know the difference and it's not the major coins were always having very strong fundamental because it will always be affecting by bitcoin.
This is the truth.

If correction of the entire cryptocurrency market will begin, then the prices of all cryptocurrencies and even top-end ones will fall, so such top cryptocurrencies like Ethereum and Ripple will also fall, but the correction can be different, for example, Ethereum can fall from 1800$ to 100$ or from 1800$ to 1000$, it is difficult for us to predict what type of the correction will be and therefore we need to prepare for it in advance, and therefore I have already fixed most of my profit in stable coins.
I refuse to believe that there will be massive dump like 2018 this time around because adoption rate on crypto now is on another level, assuming Ethereum falls to 100$ well millions will be waiting to buy at that price, I doubt it will last a day, this bull season will be different, just a feeling

I am actually wondering what will happen once we are in the bear period. Since many of the veterans have earned so much during this bull period, and the many who were not able to buy during the peak and has been waiting for a bear period to happen, if all of them started buying so much of the popular alt coins like ETH for example and then many of just bought during the bear period, would that affect the coins at that point, making them rise in value again? I mean I do wish that the popular coins go back to the 2018 levels where it is comfortable to buy them at that period.

Bearish market already occurred as you can see, 57k to 44k really quick, that's occurred only a 3 weeks after the bullrun happen and we don't know yet how long these will get back to 54k range and if this will happen again I guess it will continue up to 60k in the next couple of months. Almost all of the altcoins are being affected when the btc drops rapidly. I don't think the bullrun is not finish yet. I guess it will happen again and cryptocurrency will surely reach there ATH. It's hard to trade this days when market is down and all we have to do is cut our losses and hold for a while.

In a bear market, expect all altcoins to dive 95-99.99%.

This is the real risk an investor is taking when puting money today in any altcoin, especially those that are overvalued, the devs making billions, the exchanges too. At some point the new money entering will be less and the worse will come. Being ready for this event will help us minimize our losses.
It is only an estimate, but to happen as you say is completely open, but every prediction and forecast may miss what many people have said at this point, so be patient and always monitor market conditions so you don't experience losses.

Nothing is impossible tho, remember what happened years ago with bitcoin? The bubble pop and we all got rekt but one thing is for sure, it will gain back to a new All time high and will give us profit once again

No one can guarantee that the price of bitcoin and altcoin will return to new heights of all time. like now, we never thought that the price of bitcoin had a very significant increase in price. maybe in the future, the price of Bitcoin will experience a higher price increase from now on as the bull market skyrockets
