I think you have other better option then BNB, but i dose not mean that BNB is not worth buying, it’s true that BNB is dropped and now a bit cheap prices to considering in the green market, BNB will long term worth investment if they will win the case i believe it of course highly pump as like XRP was increased after won the case.

Yeah, one of the reasons I bought BNB is because of too much Bad news right now like CZ stepping down and then Binance having an ongoing war with SEC, etc., and like you said that bnb is at a cheap rate right now and you can start to accumulate right now!

Besides if the price still continues down I can do DCA and start staking the APR right now is around 4-7% which is not bad at all.

the bull run hasn't peaked yet. there is more room for growth. the halving wasn't even here yet and it means altcoins could exceed their ATH by probably more than 300%.
SOL's AATH was $250 and by the peak of the bull market, it could go as high as $750.

seeing SOL though is $70+, you might just find another with high potential but also a top coin in the market with a low market cap. my suggestion is Matic. this could be huge when they finally have positive news.

Bitcoin.
Everything goes into a portfolio containing Bitcoin and leaves it there for a year or more.

If you ask there are no plans to share a few percent to buy potential altcoins? not at $500 because to me that's too little to share.
If there is a multiple of $500, $750 to buy Bitcoin $250 to buy stablecoins in preparation for buying Bitcoin when the price corrects again.

If you had $500, which coins would you choose to buy

It all depends on whether you have already formed a cryptocurrency portfolio or not. If you have already bought coins before and now you have an additional $ 500, then I would postpone purchases, since the market is currently at a high and would wait for a correction.

If you had $500, which coins would you choose to buy

if I had $500 then I would buy EGLD, because
1. EGLD always has progress and the team is active in providing information about the project
2. EGLD price has the potential to increase by at least 5x from the current price
3. EGLD is very good and safer to use as a long-term investment, because EGLD is in the top 50 on coinmarketcap

For now if I have 500$ I would buy BNB since to much noise right now happen on BNB and the price is down because to many bad news but I think this coin still has potential in future the daily transaction on BSC is still high and the Binance is still continue to operate and the coin is one of the top 10 by marketcap

One of the main problems with BNB is that you can only trade it at Binance. Many governments don't allow Binance anymore or put huge restrictions on it (my country also doesn't allow it) so I needed to cash out every BNB I had. Personally, I would just buy some more ETH, it is a safer bet and it has potential to go a lot higher.

Bro. The first risk in trading is losing money and our job is to be careful not to lose too much. Don't just play the feature if you can't afford it because the decision to buy coins must be based on real analysis of the coins. Just log in and arrange your investment plan for the $500 above.

If let's say I had $500 in additional spare funds to spare, I would continue to invest in buying ETH. The price of ETH is still quite cheap to buy because it is still approximately 50% lower than its ATH, for until the bullrun starts after halving will be at least x5. It may still be modest, but I believe it is easy to set this goal with ETH.
5 times increase is a stretch tbh because today value is $2.3k and the all time high ever recorded is around less than $5k so 5 times would mean its gonna be beyond $10k for ethereum and I don't personally think thats realistic in my honest opinion.
I mean i know that in bullrun anything could happen but even right now we don't really know whether the bullrun gonna bring us to all time high added with the fact that ethereum trading volume and market capitalization is humongous that it might be difficult to pump unlike any other coin it'd be more realistic to invest in altcoin thats not as high as ethereum in term of value so overall its good investment but just not gonna give any meaningful increase moreover the capital is rather low, for every doubling of ethereum price we only get a fraction of the supposed profits.

Though I can agree with you about investing on ETH, but the buyer should make sure that he will keep up with what's happening to ETH network.
The amount which is 500 is not so big, this is the reason why some are suggesting to take a look at alts and not btc.
However, if you have no time to regularly monitor the market, it is better to hold it in btc instead.
But at the end of the day, you will be the one who will finally decide on which coins or projects you want to allocate this spare funds.
As long as you are familiar with the project and at least have solid ground of its existence, you may have the chance to earn something.

It's not big money to invest but I think the best way for me is trading which will give me small amount of money every day. But you should get rid of money crunch so buy tokens that will bail you out before the bull market hits. You know there are some tokens which can't give good return even during bull market, it's bad community of that project. So you should see which token's price is always moving and make the right decision to buy it.

If this is spare money, I'd scatter them to a few random altcoins that seem to be a lottery to me. Like those that have been on hype, maybe a hundred of it. And for the rest, I'll put it on BNB and Ethereum but what I am thinking with Ethereum is that I'll just get a very few in quantity that's why if this is going to be it. Much better if I'll just put a whole all in to ETH because I might get less than quarter of the whole with its current price.

If I had that amount I would probably go for lp and point accumulation for any upcoming solana dex possible airdrops which so far has been very generous to their dedicated liquidity pool providers.
I see this as a win win and the best way to increase small funds without taking too much risk.
For direct investment on tokens, my pick will be sol base on the ecosystem performance, very likely sol will hit a much higher ath from the previous one. However, always do your own research, invest what you can afford.

This not high amount but i will bought only btc because i can get $500 to $600 profits very quickly. Anyway personal i can prepared you for start trade and make profits everyday. Because your assets is not to much so that's why you can't buy more altcoins sections. Otherwise you can buy upcoming new coin but it will be super risky.

If you had $500, which coins would you choose to buy

of course I will allocate my $500 in 50% SOL and 50% in TON, because I believe that SOL and TON are worthy investments to invest at this time, so of course by investing in SOL and TON right now, then I will definitely will get a profit of at least 3x from my $500, therefore I also recommend you to invest in SOL and TON right now, before the price of Bitcoin reaches its ATH or a bullrun occurs.

is this the Toncoin (TON) https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/toncoin/ ? looks having a good run now stating its position at rank 13? sounds good investment .
and Solana(SOL) has been in my pocket for year now so having it with you will definitely a good sign that there will be more coming from these 2 currency?
if you have accumulated before this bull happens then you are lucky because even as we speak , you are already doubled your investments.

Personally, if I had capital of $500, and my position was not yet good at analyzing, I would only divide it into Bitcoin 60%, Ethereum 30% and the remaining 10% I would invest in several top 100 altcoins, I would speculate on this to get more profit. large and if I experience risk, I only allocate a small portion of the funds, so it doesn't disrupt my overall investment
Since this thread is in the Altcoin speculation section, I believe OP is asking only about altcoins and Bitcoin shouldn't be included in that. Besides, you said you would invest 10% into several altcoins from the top 100 list, but you are not realizing that 10% of $500 is just $50, and I wonder how you are going to divide $50 in multiple altcoins and still expect to get profit because your profit will depend on your invested amount, investing $10 on an altcoin would barely get you anything.

The best solution would be to go with about two or 3 altcoins that are at the top, ETH should be the first one and a large percentage of the total capital should go into it, and the remaining percentage should be split into two parts and invested in the top 2 altcoins after ETH based on current ratings and future potential.

If you had $500, which coins would you choose to buy
Personally, if I had funds of $500, I would of course divide my portfolio in half, 60% for BTC and 40% for Eth. But many people with that kind of funds will choose altcoins that are trending in the hope of making a profit, for me this is very risky, especially if they lack knowledge and lack confidence so they suffer losses.

I believe in Crypto fundamentals, even though I swallowed a bitter pill because I experienced big losses because I wasn't strong enough to deal with market crashes. Currently I am confident with some of my new knowledge because I watched YouTube and studied on this forum so that I have a strong foundation for choosing BTC and Eth to invest in. Moreover, the market is extraordinary at the moment, and even if there is another correction, the strategy will certainly continue to work. My portfolio has improved quite well due to better understanding of the current market.
