I think its totally depend up on thinking of independent individual. As some of will think to send it back or some of will think to keep it.

I think there is no mercy for mistake. Its goodness of person who will return back amount to receiver address.

I would return if the amount of BTC is significant but if it's just a small amount then I would just retain it.
most probably i would return all the bitcoins i get by mistake too because in my opinion it is definitely better to do that instead of keeping it and feeling all the guilt

Lol,my friend got 0,009 today at his address.
He was thinking about sending it back, but he decided he wont.
And so far, nobody has connected to him to get it back Cheesy lucky bastard lol

Mostly people feel lucky when they get bitcoins from other address mistakenly. but i personally think you have to give it back to concerned person because if you send your money mistakenly to others than you will also not get back your bitcoins. Tongue So be honest with yourself and send this amount back, I know it is difficult but try to do that it will help you in future.

Let's say you wake up some day and you get like 1 BTC. For me this is a lot. What do you do? You return back the BTC to the owner, do you keep it? and why.

I don't know what I would do to be honest. I mean who knows if the guy that just sent you this is a criminal or a good man? Very tough decision. For someone like me that has a small BTC wallet and is trying to make as much BTC as possible before its too late due price going too high, it would be hard to return it, but I would feel bad to keep it too.

If you have conscience. Then give it back. But if not, then claim it as your own. Because that's the fault of the sender. They can never locate who you are, where you are or what are you doing right now. The only thing they know about you is your BTC address. Just accept it and claim it as your own if you want.

Well probably not! The one who made a mistake will think twice next time when he try to send some coins. I would spent it very fast, depending from amount I received I would think is it enough to buy something, or to spend it on some party with friends on drinks and other stuff, or I would put all on red and try to make it double.
But that will never happen to me, I never found some money in my life. So I doubt that I will have more luck now with bitcoins.

if I see the bitcoin which sent to my address and it is not mine, there is a two conditions whom I can do.

  • if I see the owner bitcoin, I will contact them. what they are really giving their bitcoins to me. I will return back if they are not really want to giving. I want everyone can trust me,and not want other people no trust to me.
  • if I can't see the owner bitcoin, I will waiting during a few month up to a one years. if there is an owner whose claiming their bitcoin own, I will ask their bitcoin address signature whom they using while sent their bitcoin to me. and if all the proof can they give to me, I will return back all their bitcoin

but otherwise if not there claiming, I will assume it is my bitcoin

Simple question but hard to answer, but I think 90% or even more than 90% of us will not send it back. I myself will not send it back if I got it when I do not have enough money but I will send it back if I get it when I have some money.
So it depends on when I received the random btc. Grin

well honestly I will just take 0.1 btc cause I need it so desperately and I will send other back
well i guess that would still be kinda stealing because you would take the money from other people and that would definitely not be good in my opinion, i would most probably sell all the bitcoins

I think that yes, because i am very honest with myself and i understand that it's not my money and better to return it. But many people will not return it anyway.

no i never receive any random bitcoin. but perhaps from any how i receive it. then defiantly i will return it to the actual owner. i am still wondering that if it possible that to receive random bitcoin. and if i sent my bitcoin to some one incidentally then if there any option with me to return it  back? i don't think so.

1BTC is nothing! but if one day i was opening my wallet and saw 10BTC or 100BTC  Shocked i would try to resovle this transcation in order to find the owner and prolly posting on forums ... if it was from an exchange or a mixer...screw im keeping it and i would make it rain to my friends
but since 2012 i havent get any 'faulty' transactions  Roll Eyes Cool
Depends on how rich the person that received it in my opinion. For me, 1BTC is a lot.

I'm assuming that you're rich. In that case, you can send me some Wink
Make it rain.

meeehh sorry pal my funding are sitting in a cold wallet, atm im using little BTC for steam games & seedbox lease ! and a little gamble!  Grin
Then it'd be safe for us to assume that you are indeed rich and you probably have a lot of games into your Steam account.
1BTC is actually a lot for many people since there are a lot of people that doesn't have any special skill to offer and are having quite a hard time getting bitcoins.

Let me say true about this if ever I received some bitcoins randomly than surely I would like to keep it for me, I'll never send it to back to that address and will consider it as a gift from God.

Hahahaha actually these bitcoins are gift from the one who send these bitcoins to you randomly. But i think its depends on how many bitcoins you recieved, if you get a small amount than you want that money back to the person who sent these to you Tongue
