We have different ways of spending and investing. If I buy 1 Bitcoin today, I might set aside 40% of that for long term or hold it for a long time, 40% can be used for day trading and the remaining will be spent on whatever I want to do with it, maybe in gambling. I don't care if they say i'm greedy for holding on to my coin for a long time but its my money.

It is our wish whether to hold them or whether to sell those coins in the market when the prices start increasing. It is better to save 40% of our investment into the cold wallet for the long term and the rest we can start day trading with the rest of the money.

thats good everyone should have there ways to manage for how much they use for long term and for spending or invest in some other coins which bring good returns for your bitcoin

Different people see it differently though. But i agree that you have to let hodlers do their thing as you do yours. Those who stood their grounds for thr longest time last year and the start of this year are now reaping the rewards of their patience and their trust in btc. And for sure there will still be times when the market will correct itself and we'd have to hold once more. It's every trader to his own.

I have seen some recent posts after this somewhat "unexpected" Bitcoin pump that people are greedy and hence should cash out! Really!!? I don't know why people are saying so but we have endured the longest bear market ever (I suggest Theymos should give all of us a tag  Grin for that achievement  Grin), with insults from people that we're greedy, charlatans, etc. And funny enough! there are people amongst us who have seen thousands, hundreds, of Dollars drain down to "coins" and now that we are about to smile some are saying we're greedy and should cash out! I don't know why they are saying that but for those who have been in the game fr a long time know we are no where near where we've been before. Please if you want to cash out, fine you can but don't call HODLers greedy! In fact, we deserve a citation rather lol...
I have wondered this myself why anyone would panic and sell off if they didn't need the cash instantly to take care of bills. Why get scared when we just began a new circle of bull run. We can expect retracements here and there but definitely Bitcoin is on a mad run and hodlers shouldn't be scared a bit. Let those with little faith fud, but keep your grip on your hodl.
Majority of those people calling Holders greedy and so on are just those that missed out of train, and as they say, procrastination is a thief of time, now they are using every means to see how they can enforce massive dump on the market with their FUD advises.

How easy it is for them to forget that investors of our time now are not investor of the old that fidgets easily, some people have learnt never to panic sell to FUD news and would hold their coin wisely till it gets to the stage where they are comfortable for taking prices without still fallen into people’s opinion.
Well we all have different strategies. Some people might look for low profits in the crypto market and would cash out quick but others who are looking for big money in crypto would definitely HODL. This lead to accumulation of value and hence a high value addition. People like Winklevoss Twins invest around $10 million in Bitcoin when Bitcoin was around $1 or may be less. They made it to billion dollars in 2017.

absolutely right, for me holding is a principle and holder is an appropriate nickname for those who choose to stand on their stand. I don't know what the holders get but I am sure that they have considered everything.

If you have faced this long bear trend then it is your right to enjoy the bull ride, its not greed in any way but every trade/investment should be well managed. One cannot target infinity for any coin to achieve, there should be logical target and that too secured by proper SL. Suppose one person buys BTC at $5000 and now its $8000, many of us know this is not the TOP , BTC will grow better than this so the investor should wait for the next level with SL put at BE so that his base capital is atleast secured. With the growth of purchased pair SL should be moved up in parallel.

True Holder is the person who has survived so far, that is as long as the price of bitcoin falls. they need a lot of patience, therefore if they still decide to hold it cannot be greedy, they are only sure of what they are doing that bitcoin will continue to grow and be too fast to sell bitcoin now

We are waiting so much long for this movement then why we need to stop now.Anyone who is thinking about selling just reconsider about it,this is just the beginning we are so much to reach in the coming months.

You only need stop if you think you are tired in trading and you need to take a deep breath because the price does not move to the better way. I already try to stop when the situations are out from what I want because if I still push myself to continue, I cannot get a good result, and it could make me lose the money. If you want to sell the coin, you need to pick the right time and place in the right place too and this could only found by doing analysis.

HODLers aren't greedy it is their way to gain their profit ,
We have different tactics on gaining profit so if call HODLer's greedy then you should also call the short term traders greedy.
Just because holders are gaining now that doesn't make them greedy we don't know their story they might jave lose more than what they are gaining now.

Those long term holders are not in hurry to get their profit. They are actually, doing save for the future savings. Perhaps, We had our own reason why We hold em in long term, it could be that We saw something that it can give in the future which is it has a high potential if We hold em, were some kind of a strong belief just holding Bitcoin, isn't right?

It's kind of ridiculous when have a talk that holders are greedy exactly. I want to have a big criticism on those who have thought our hodlers are greedy. We all have our own strategy as well as plan in terms of investing or trading. We should better respect the plan of one another. Generally, we are here with common targets, that is we can grab benefits from crypto market. Definitely hodl is one of the most effective way plus sucured for us to minimize the loss in many times of volatility; thus, hodl is not a bad idea, also hodlers should be not considered greedy as well.

That`s trading, you simply don`t wait for top to cash out, you actively earning on fluctuations. If you, or anyone else, believes in straight line to up, you are terribly wrong. Price will reach the top and stop, maybe fall back a little, than up, than drop and like that before we reach very high prices. Join and earn from that, or simply stash your coins and wait for your top.
Risking to take more profits is good but not for everyone so people who are not ready for short term trading then they shouldn't do it,because it will make the condition more worse.

I jest checked the value of Bitcoin and it has surprised me in an extraordinary way. It has surpassed the $8000 value in the open market and it just took this coin three days to rise from something less than $7000 to more than $8000. This is truly amazing and I would never sell off my coins when a market as hot as this can impart my coins great value.

You can't blame them for cashin' out their profits right away. I've been thinking that, too. My profits are telling me that it was enough to cash it out since I am a holder for a longest time. But I have some reasons why I give the benefit of the doubt..i have my basis actually. My indicators are telling me that it will still go up that is why i still hold. Greed? No it's not. It's practicality.

Lol. I think HODLERS are one of the most patient traders as they have to buy at one point and hope it goes up to a point before they sell. That isn't greediness, it is called 'patience bringing in value'.  It is all about strategy. During bear, HODLERS are majorly loosing but during the bull, they make profit. It's quite unfair to tag HODLERS as greedy. Anyways, the tagging shouldn't affect HODLERS. HODLERS should continue doing their thing.
