Individuals are free to voice their opinion, and you can't criticize them for doing that. If you are intelligent, then you will ignore the FUD and make your moves wisely. And one small correction. I don't think that this was the longest bear run. This one lasted one year and 4 months (from 2018 January to 2019 April). The longest one lasted a full two years (2014 January to 2016 January).

I think it's normal in cryptocurrency, some people have their own plan for their investment and not all of them are holders. Some people sell the asset when they feel profitable and some people keep hold and believe of their asset will increase more. That's because everyone's needs are different.
The more reason why no one should really interfere in the affairs and decision of others, rather than calling the holders greedy, they would have just taking their own profits and walk away, while leaving the rest to make their own decision too, because I don’t see calling holders greedy as an advice, that is more like a damaging statement.

And just like you said, lots of people with their different plans, some are not even interested in using crypto for profit or even taking profit now till future when they can see it as their retirement investment or legacy they are leaving down for their children in decade’s time.

I have seen some recent posts after this somewhat "unexpected" Bitcoin pump that people are greedy and hence should cash out! Really!!? I don't know why people are saying so but we have endured the longest bear market ever (I suggest Theymos should give all of us a tag  Grin for that achievement  Grin), with insults from people that we're greedy, charlatans, etc. And funny enough! there are people amongst us who have seen thousands, hundreds, of Dollars drain down to "coins" and now that we are about to smile some are saying we're greedy and should cash out! I don't know why they are saying that but for those who have been in the game fr a long time know we are no where near where we've been before. Please if you want to cash out, fine you can but don't call HODLers greedy! In fact, we deserve a citation rather lol...
Hodlers or simply holding doesn't mean greed yet it would be either a true tech believer or simply just aim for higher peaks that isn't present as of now
but I'm pretty sure that most of them will sold out if the previous ATH would be break out.People or investors do have different mindsets in terms of investing
and just respect if people do cash or sell out their coins yet everyone needs to profit and that's why were are here on this place on the first place.

Lol, you talk as if you don’t know these people, those people who are advising people to cash out are really looking for great opportunities to cause massive dump, because they are really targeting bitcoin to fall for as low as $1000 to $2000, so that they can rush to buy. We just need to tart ignoring those FUD carriers, they are just opportunist.

Many of them don’t even know 1% of what we know about the blockchain technology and its future growth, if they knew, they would not be advising wrongly and would understand that cryptocurrency is still in its very early stage and still has a lot of development on its way.

Look here. I'm a holder for the long term just like many others, but let's face it. If we have to tell people not to be greedy and not cash out, then we might as well just make Bitcoin a forced hold. Don't worry about what others are doing! If they don't sell, then there is no market. And there's no more place for us to enter and reenter. Bitcoin can grow without this intervention and in fact will become stronger.
Exactly. It is their money at the end of the day and they can do they as they please. Also, it seems like op depends way too much on the labels assigned by people which is stupid if you ask me.

We should focus on improving our own portfolios rather than focusing on what labels we are assigned.
That is right. If you think you have made enough profits and you should not really stay any longer in the market and stay under threat and risk, you should not stay and cash out. Actually the people who think they will make big profits by staying in the market for long will prefer to HODL even in the bull market. This is simple science. But HODL in such a scenario increases you chances of making more money.

It's not greedy if we buy bitcoin at the lower price and we spent lots of money for it IMO. Someone got greedy if he let lots of profit in front of himself and just let it go away. Remember the price bitcoin is always move you can but it again when correction come instead you keep hold it until long time and but you haven't seen you will got profit. Look at the 2017 ago, how many people who regret because they still believe that bitcoin will up more than that, but what happened afterward? the price bitcoin just down slowly until hit the button i.e $3200, how do they feeling if still hold bitcoin until now? I guess he will have a target to achieve $20.000 again and that is need a long time. But if did buy and sell because he knows bitcoin will up and down based on their analyst then I'm sure at this time we will get lots of profit.

HODLers aren't greedy it is their way to gain their profit ,
We have different tactics on gaining profit so if call HODLer's greedy then you should also call the short term traders greedy.
Just because holders are gaining now that doesn't make them greedy we don't know their story they might jave lose more than what they are gaining now.
Yeah that's the way they get profit, thats why it call holding, because they are waiting for a high price in accordance with their expectations and targets, of course it's not greedy. greedy if you are a short-term investor, you have profit but you want to get a bigger profit by holding it even though you know the market will definitely fall. thats a different thing for me

As they said, regret always happened in the end.

You can prove that you are greedy only if you miss the chance of selling because you want more.
Greediness is normal to people but greediness with bad decision making is worse and will never help us succeed as a trader.

The bull run is here and based on the history, we can achieve a significant increase like x10 or more, so this is what people are expecting.
We hold at our own risk, so we accept whatever will happen.

The question is whether those saying that have cashed out Theirs. Some of them will be saving there's and be getting angry that others are doing the same and making profit. They think they are the ones who are not greedy but others are being greedy lol. As for me, no one has the right to tell me what to do, it is my money so you should have only talk about yours and not mine.

I do whatever I want with my money, I have bared the loss for a long time and now is my time to reap the fruit of my labor, so why would anyone say I'm greedy? It's none of their business and I'm only going to sell whenever I want to sell.

I have wondered this myself why anyone would panic and sell off if they didn't need the cash instantly to take care of bills. Why get scared when we just began a new circle of bull run. We can expect retracements here and there but definitely Bitcoin is on a mad run and hodlers shouldn't be scared a bit. Let those with little faith fud, but keep your grip on your hodl.

To impose on someone their opinion is wrong. Someone wants to cash out their funds, and someone wants to wait for higher prices. Everyone does what they want. I really do not understand those people who impose their opinion on everyone.
Yes, we have a different decision because all of us has a different reason.
We cannot force someone to follow what we suggest because I am sure they will have their opinion related to the situations that they got.
And if they have a problem, I am sure that they can solve by themselves and they don't need to use our suggestion, but they can use our suggestion as to their consideration for making their decision.

Although there where many mistakes made in 2017 which some of us will not like to repeat in 2019. Many of my own coins where grounded to zero because of hold on a longer time in 2017. Also, those of my friends who cash out then where the most luckiest among, so, if you are interested to hold, so be it, and still interested to sell, so be let.
Ahoy ahoy, that's it buddy. Everything is a solo decision. We all decide on whatever we wanna do with our precious digital assets. Some people just don't understand why they should respect the decisions of others but it is good to do that. It is because of attitudes such like that that made some parts of the world not enjoy peace for sometime. It's about time we started putting a stop to that.

Everyone is fee to do whatever he wants with his money and his investments and I don't give a damn about whatever someone says regarding me hodling my bitcoin for a long time even though the market is green right now. Some of us invested money when the price of bitcoin was 10.000$ or maybe even 20.000$ so even now we are still in a loss so how can someone call us greedy when we are loosing money? Let the haters speak, you just need to follow your own path.

Now that some of us has started to "see lights at the end of the tunnel" nobody should call us greedy!  I bought bitcoin at $10,000 , $8000 and $5000 and I am still holding all of them.  I could remember how I feel when bitcoin went down to almost $3000! But thank be to God that cause the market to start recovering.

I think the philosophy "Be fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful" still applies in our situation and they are right to say that its time to be greedy in holding what we have endured so far. It might not be good sounding for us but they really don't have the right to say when should we sell what we have bough independently in the first place. If we missed our opportunity because we didn't sell than its our fault but if we missed our opportunity because we listened to them then its still our fault because we have followed them. What I am trying to say is our position is owned by us and we have the right to do decide anything for it.

One who thinks this is the time to cashout are the panic sellers who always get panic to hold the coins so they are not going to get full benefits from investing on the crypto currencies.Still anyoe want to sell their coins after seeing the continous price growth on the bitcoin, breaking $8000 soon.
They've been moved because of fear or greed on the other side, people who doesn't like to maximize the profits will surely sell now but for those who understand and still trusting the potential of more rise will keep holding and not to follow those daily traders but aimed to have a much bigger profits.

I think everybody has right to their opinions. probably what they would have done is what they wanted everyone to do and seeing those who did not dance to their tune as been greedy. i beleive those whose wouldnt want to sell their token has seen it gone high during the 2017 bull run and couldnt afford the loss.
