There are several reasons why people throw coins:
1. Seeing that the coin has been profitable and wants to cash it for life or fun.
2. The coins held are not showing future profits because they are not favored by investors which causes them to continue to show on the brink of collapse.
3. Shifting to investments or coins that show a greater return than the coins currently held.

The rason why i sell my bounty reward is simple because i want to turn it into another investment.
Sometimes i sell it because i need to pay something in my real life, so far since i joined in the bounty campaign i only hold 1 coin which is utrust.

Looks today is a good day to dump your coins and wait where this dump will ends. Almost every coin is diving at the moment.
There are a great deal of projects which have truly good thoughts and plans, yet a large portion of them are not fruitful due to various reasons. Most coins and tokens which we have gotten from bounties and different giveaways are pointless and I prescribe to sell them as quick as possible and purchase on that cash truly good cryptocurrencies. Just couple of projects truly have the right to be hold.
OP posted that on 7 Aug 2020, it was time of bear market and people started losing patience. Many sold coins at loss to smart investors. If he has waited for few more months he would be in current bull run where almost every coin is at its ATH.
The very problem with each investors, when there's a dump and it takes a long time the pressure to sell and follow the trend is really tempting,
Even you are done doing your research you are still prone to take unnecessary actions that leads you to lose your investment.
If OP able to extend the wait, then yes he might be in green now, but that's the risk and it's unavoidable.
Throwing away coins I think is very reasonable in crypto. I'm dumping my coins because because the coins or tokens I own did not develop.

I think everyone needs to come to the reality that not every single cryptocurrency that you have either through purchase or bounty of them or and a job is going to be successful so it is up to you to analyse each coin on its own according to your goals whether you're going to hold or you're going to sell off sometimes I find it easier to Sale of a portion of my coins and all the portion of it especially when I'm not so sure about the future prospects of that coin so it's all up to you to do your analysis and then make your decision from the result of this analysis

The market is very active right now and you can see a lot of explosive growth on more projects even if they have no prerequisites for growth.So for example, i recently managed to sell my shitcoin from 2017 for 300 bucks!
I'm not dumping my coins. Sometimes that happens with tokens but accidentally and rarely. Usually I sell them exactly after the bounty or wait a little bit while my tokens will increase, but there were situations when I’ve just missed the right moment when tokens were on the top and they dumped to ATL (poorly, but those tokens are still All-time-low)
I also hold some tokens resulting from the bounty even for many years, because the price is still very low and very worthless.

Bounty tokens are becoming useless to hodl.i notice nowadays token price always get destroyed and turns into shitcoin. There sre only few legit coins, if you can hold those then you may get some good money.but most of bounty coins aren't worthy at the end of few months.so i already applied your idea and only hodl some legit coins like eth,bnb,tron,doge which is good for long time investment, as i believe to that...
Sometimes is hard to know which last and which don't. If you sell early you loose the chance of getting that big chance in a lifetime.

Yes, I completely agree with you, we have already learned the lesson of 2017-2018. It is indeed more logical to sell all your tokens from the bounty to make a profit.

I also have the same fear as what you feel, but gradually I started to think that if there are some tokens that deserve to be sold and there are also tokens that we have to throw away or sell immediately, before selling or holding bounty tokens, of course I am personally will continue to do research on the token project both on social media, websites and even in markets that list the token to find out how much chance the token will develop in the future so that at least when the token bounty price decreases or the price increases, of course I will not feel sorry at all.
