There are certain situations where you'll need money desperately and you'd have no other option than to sell your assets. I have fallen into this category several times. I hardly ever sell my crypto assets to buy other coins. It never ends well, at least for me.

2020 definitely never seems to end Smiley

Most new projects will end up a disappointment, I'm not just ready to take the risk of holding for long term, bounty tokens easily become useless after few months, I'd rather invest in popular new projects that use top exchanges for IEO launchpad

Easy come, easy go.  Most projects are trying to generate interest and get followers.  I personally only follow Bounties and Air Drops where I feel like there is something interesting intrinsic about the project.  Then the air drop is an easy and cheap entry point.

I have a few tokens from Bounty Campaign that were previously listed on an exchanger, didn't sell for a low price, suddenly went viral one day, some I got two years ago I haven't been listed yet, the team has no whereabouts, active members on social channels No. I haven't dropped them yet, but I think I'll drop them soon.

I think You can hold some coins and they keep losing value, if you keep trying to hold the coin might never recover again, some times it's better to take your loss and reinvest in other coins instead to get your money back probably
Yes, useless coins deserve to be thrown away even if someone experiences a little loss through their disposal, because there are still many choices of coins that have the potential for one to get more profit through trading.

Many of us experience this kind of situation, in this matter of dumping of coins, we have to do this for many reasons at all, less value, not working and it is useless.
If the reason you say has already happened to a coin or token, then anyone will throw it away, because it would be useless to hold it in your wallet if the token or coin is really of no use at all.

To tell the truth, around 98% of the existing tokens and coins doesn't have a real life use. They can be used only as a speculative investment asset. But one thing to remember here is that these cryptocurrencies will undergo pump-and-dump cycle at least once during their existence. If you can sell them at the time of the pump, then you may be able to make good profits.

Actually it is depend on what kinds of token you are holding. If the token slowly becoming no value and the price goes down or maybe fall into shit coin maybe you need to dump that coin before it will reach to zero value.
I believe that the best thing to do is to change the token that is no progress into coin that has a great potential to rise in the near future.

it's like investing in the wrong project. Sometimes we see a project that looks good and we are interested in investing but it doesn't pay off for a long time. some new projects are only suitable for a short period. it gave me to experience not to invest in new coins in the market in the long run.
New projects have many risks.
The first is FOMO and the manipulation of value when it first gets listed on exchanges. No matter how large their community is just to make a profit and get out quickly. They are not patient to hold value to the project until it has a final product.
Next, new projects look great but the most important thing is the source code, if they do not develop the source code, then the project will fail.
If you invest only to make a profit, then invest in new projects from the private sale or ICO phase and quickly get out.

I am the holder of many coins which have no current value at all. So I am also very worried about this issue and still can't decide what coins to hold . But I am very optimistic about Harmony and Binance Coins. I hope these show me the face of something good.

Now is already good time to dump altcoins because most of market price of these altcoins grows strong as bitcoin did. So it is profitable or likely to get low loss in selling just to get out of shit coins in the market especially that there are so many altcoins now and whales or investors tend to chose establish crypto in the market. This is why I consider it good now in selling these coins and then you can invest directly to bitcoin or other strong altcoins. In altcoins, I prefer to invest in ethereum as it seems like ethereum has a brighter future ahead.

Despite what devs tell you on the social networks if there is no improvement in price for about 6 months then dump seriously The market is competitive and is likely similar working products are already out there

That is an interesting rule of thumb.

Your strategy and what you have done seems really good. The best thing to do is to forget about your shitcoins and just focus on real projects that have futures. if you think if sell all your shitcoins and buy some top coins, that is not the problem. You are not alone on this one, I have some worthless tokens in my wallet as well that are still valueless, I'm not sure someone will buy it for free. Even if someone wants to accept it, then the action is ridiculous and a waste of time and money. I wish I could sell them before their price dropped by whales.

Though if you held it, and other people held it, and the idea is good then it could actually turn into something more.

At the very beginning, I left the coins and thought that it would be profitable in the future, but as it turned out, it was best to sell them at the very beginning. All coins fell to the bottom and I lost profit from the first coins.

Most of this happened, lots of coins from the initial offering after reaching exchange the value really been dumped.

Investors realized that riding with any projects needs to have a faster hands, if you don't want to be trapped better to sell your
assets while you still have a good chance.,

while you see positive from your initial investment best to grab small profits than lose
portions or most of your capital.

Do you ever believe in a project or its technology and want to stay in it for non financial reasons?

There is lot of reasons to sell.
1) Project may not be that good.
2) Project may not be something you actually care about.
3) You can get money now.
4) Many projects are risky / scams and will be worthless in the future

The reasons to hold:
1) You really like something about the project.  There is a greater reason you want to see it succeed. That you want to be invested in it for.
2) You want to support a project.
3) You feel that it has the potential to be worth far more in the future.

While most would say the financial reasons hold far more sway I would say for projects I hold in the altcoin space its because I really like them not because I necessarily think they will make me money.
