Alcohol may be worse than soft drugs, but you can't compare it to the hard drugs such as Heroin. And I can't believe that your cousin was injecting heroin and still managed to survive for 3 decades. It is plain unbelievable. Perhaps she is a rare exception. Normally, heroin addicts die after 2-3 years, either from overdose or due to health complications.
30 years never injected just chased the dragon  Roll Eyes..I did say she never injected ..
Read it again my darling Grin..

No they don't do you know why some heroin addicts die because they spend every penny on the drugs and don't feed themselves so starve themselves
and that also adds to the fact starving themselves plus being clean like tidy clean ..

Now i knew many a heroin addicts who would go to work everyday a proper job not robbing..
So it's all about how you take drugs ..

Some will do it all day some do it at weekends some do it just once at night some do it 6 times a day it's all about how you take them..

And believe me ALCOHOL if drinking all day will kill you faster than heroin if chasing the dragon..

Now when you inject you play with fire that can kill you straight away if not done right ..
I HAVE SEEN IT ALL Wink..

I HAVE DONE MOST DRUGS ..RAVING 90S Pump up the jam pump it up while your feet are stomping..

ACID Smiley and that's where the smiley face come from the rave days Grin..

I had a cousin and her and her partner was heroin addicts and she would have a £200 to £300 habit a day between them  Shocked Shocked..

Now i had a friend who was a ALCOHOLIC ..

My cousin took heroin for 30 years never injected just chased the dragon now she took heroin for 30 years and got clean ..
She moved away and started a fresh new life ..

She started when she was 23 and stopped when she was 53       at deaths door looking like death Cry Cry..
Now my friend started drinking at 13 and died of ALCOHOL when she was only 35 it was was friends sister but she was also my friend GONE..

So it just goes to show how bad ALCOHOL is..

Even CHOCOLATE abuse can kill you  ..

So why is weed banned when ALCOHOL is not Undecided Kiss..

And the facts show more people die from alcohol than drugs and legal ones both put together alcohol is a way bigger killer..

And see my story is many many of the same stories up and down this planet it's what happens in poor areas DRINK and DRUGS ..
One way to escape the shit hole you come because you cannot afford a 8 grand holiday for you and your family ..

And that's why many drink or take drugs to escape ..JUST TO ESCAPE..

But why do humans when ever we are told not to do something we do it more?.. Cheesy

I mean look at Holland go on smoke weed and become a hooker if you like and guess what
THE JAILS ARE EMPTY ..
And less young girls getting pregnant ..FUNNY how legal things make a better life style ..
No i wonder what that is like because we cannot do it it's go on do it so less people do it.. STRANGE US HUMANS ..

I suppose it's because people say we cannot do it that the human spirit says we can..

moderate drinkers and social drinkers have barely no health issues when it comes to drinking alcohol..

t alcohol poisoning, which occurs when a person drinks a toxic amount of alcohol, ... In the most severe cases, alcohol poisoning can lead to coma, brain damage and death. ... Never leave a person alone to 'sleep it off'. ... Repeated vomiting and retching can lead to the vomiting of blood as a result of a torn blood ...

Facts About Alcohol Overdose for Students
https://www.collegedrinkingprevention.gov/.../factsaboutalcoholpoisoning.aspx
It is common for someone who drank excessive alcohol to vomit since alcohol is an irritant to the stomach. There is then the danger of choking on vomit, which could cause death by asphyxiation in a person who is not conscious because of intoxication...

So it's common in students getting drunk then DEATH..^^^

Even raped because when drunk they said yes but when normal it would of been no ..
So see how much trouble ALCOHOL causes ..

BUT your government has convinced your people it's the drugs that's the worse..
When really the ban made different drugs come on the market BAD ONES..

Like if ALCOHOL was banned you wouldn't get cans of 4% BEER you be getting 100% over proof spirits at a heavy price than the shops would of sold it because a ban a punishment is involved and that drives the price up..

Also if the thing you sell is legal and to high you can create a black market for cheaper goods than your government sells like smokes tobacco
but because they are legal the prison offence is not that high compared to banned things so people will take a chance for little prison or fines ..

And that's the way the world works i am afraid ..

I am having right now a nice impact of drinking alcohol in the form of an exquisite fruity white wine. I don't know if my information can be of any help for anyone, but I hope so.

I don't think that beverages such as wine and beer should be called as alcoholic drinks. IMO, they are regular beverages containing small amounts of alcohol. Compared to alcoholic drinks such as vodka, whiskey and rum, drinks such as wine and beer contains only a small percentage of alcohol. I don't think that anyone will get liver disease by drinking wine.
Anything that contains the tiniest bit of alcohol can be termed as an alcoholic drinks, it's only the heavy consumers that eventually have health problems but the moderate drinkers and social drinkers have barely no health issues when it comes to drinking alcohol.

moderate drinkers die and the fact they are not used to drinking as well so get pissed so easy..

Lot more than speed wiz and weed no one has ever died off smoking weed..
Seen a few people turn the colour green of smoking weed though Cheesy..

I wish people would stop talking about alcohol though it's good when it's worse than drugs ..
It's because it's legal you have no problems ..
But ban ALCOHOL and then see the trouble that comes with the BAN..

And that's why drugs are bad because the government made them bad..
Your bad if your government says so Wink..

I can't agree with your definition. If you call every drink which contains even minute amounts of alcohol as alcoholic drinks, then fermented drinks, Flambé, desserts, vanilla extract, and even ripe fruit can be termed as alcoholic. Therefore I would suggest to limit the definition just to the distilled drinks, such as Absinthe, Whiskey, Vodka and Rum.

Hi guys. Just wanted to know whether drinking is good or bad for our health...first of all i drink every weekend because i feel refreshed after a heavy week of work..  After i drink i take a lot of food and have a nice sleep....I do not have any kind of headache or anything after drinking but will it affect me in the future.... My dad almost drinks everyday right from his childhood may b at the age of 18 but my dad is healthy and strong even after drinking so many years... Thanks to god for that....... Any way,  When it comes to your health, is it better to drink or not to drink?

My aunt (a nurse) requires us to drink alcohol occasionally. Mild alcohol can cleanse your body but too much can ruin your liver. I must say, alcohol isn't harmful if you have control.

Drinking one glass of wine is good to our heart but too much drinking of alcohol is bad to our health, it will cause so many problem inside of our body like liver cancer or heart attack to the person who have heart problem. Some people is already depended to the alcohol, they can't live a single day without drinking alcohol, some professional called it addiction to alcohol the best way to get out in addiction is treatment and the support of the family. As they say anything that is too much is bad to our self.

To drink is a normal reaction to the cultural environment. The problems start when you drink too much or all kind of strange low quality drink. Better not so often but high quality than often and LOVE. And when you do things consider that every glass of alcohol will kill piece by piece small neurological components. joke: one alcoholic asked the other: which illness do you prefer Parkinson or Alzheimer?? and the other one answers: i better drink a half a glass then to forget where i putt it...

Idea that moderate alcohol consumption might be beneficial has not entirely gone away, and even organisations dedicated to combating the problem of alcohol grudgingly say that small amounts of alcohol may have a protective effect against heart disease and some types of stroke. Cool

Drinking in Moderation might be OK for those that are healthy.  I used to drink everyday.  Then with age, I developed IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) and alcohol caused my stomach to hurt so much that I had to quite drinking.  But now that I have quite i feel so much better.  I am guessing it is the same with any one that drinks every day.  At the time I thought I felt good.  But did not realize that I would feel so much better if I did not drink.

Alcohol (like a nicotine) is a drug, but in many countries alcohol is "legal drug", because producers of alcohol and nicotine paying big taxes to goverment.. But it harms people the same way like other drugs, even bigger if we will compare with some of their types.

Are you trying to correct the wrong?

Everything has limitations and any exaggeration will have a bad effect. Ever heard the story of a smoker who stopped and after he quit smoking then the pain came. Alcohol in the Islam is Haram because when drunk there will be some things out of our control and unconsciousness.

Drinking too much alcohol is not good for our health it may leads us a mental disorder or being conscious from what we have done when we are drunk. 40+ shots for men is enough and only 4 shots for women but it depends on what kind of an alcohol they have to drink. Drinking alcohol maybe also inherited by the family.

Well, I would agree with you one the inheritance part. I have seen a lot of broken families in which either one or both of the parents are alcohol addicts. In 99% of the cases, the children also grew up as alcoholics. And since they start consuming alcohol at a such young age, these kids are more prone to other additions such as drug abuse.

Alcohol got so many side effect which is so bad, most people drink for fun and also thibk it a normal life but alcoholism is not a moral failing. It is an addiction and it is very complicated as to the causes

No one needs to consume alcohol and there are other ways to relax and have fun, best to put alcohol in the same category as other junk foods and just avoid it.

£350 million is what we would pay to the EU budget, without the rebate. But the UK actually pays around £250 million a week. The UK Statistics Authority has said the EU membership fee figure of £19 billion a year, or £350 million a week, is "not an amount of money that the UK pays to the EU each ..

Drinking alcohol has many side effects that will affect our lives especially when not controlled. for me it is okay to drink alcohol but with moderation. Many of alcohol drinkers have been dependent to the point that they need to go for a rehabilitation. Also, if alcohol is excessively taken it will affect our health as it can heighten blood pressure, wear out kidneys and livers and elevate cholesterol level and many more health conditions related to theses.
