Its a well established fact that alcohol is good and even cure lots of diseases, i have researched well, but daily over drinking is very bad for the body and all its organs especially the kidney and lungs.
Not all alcohols are good for the bod, i think is a matter of abuse that is the problem with the alcohol, you have a point a glass of wine per week is in fact healthy for the heart just to mention one example.

Alcohol is definitely bad for the liver, at any quantity. In addition to that, the WHO (World Health Organization) has classified alcohol as a Group 1 carcinogen. The medical properties of wine can be attributed to its non-alcoholic components, such as Resveratrol and Anthocyanin.

Of course alcohol is poison and it is mistakenly attributed to food. It can only help for medicinal purposes if it is taken in quantities of not more than one spoon.

I find my relationship with alcohol somewhat strange. Yes I have drank alcohol on several occasion, but on each occasion I was unable to understand the fun of drinking that stuff. I mean, it tasted rather disgusting and while I could feel very tipsy, I still felt as though I could do my math homework. Can anyone describe or explain to me the addictiveness of alcohol since I can't really understand why it has such a profound impact on so many people.

Alcoholics and other addicts often have some unfortunate parenting experiences that led them unable to feel good self-esteem or pleasure naturally.  They are seeking for outside substances to change their brain chemistry.  Psychoanalysis would lend credence to this. Children are never to blame but instead be educated, but often the child isn't granted innocence by the parent, but is made somehow to contain shame in some permanent level for just for being human.  The lack of the ability to feel a sense of reward from things is changed by an artificial stimulation in the brain areas for reward.  These kinds of drugs make the addict feel like they are on a throne, a temporary king, and so that becomes addictive.  That's why only people who can accept some humility can recover, and then they work with others who have the same unfortunate disease.   This is how a group like AA or Celebrate Recovery works.

Hi guys. Just wanted to know whether drinking is good or bad for our health...first of all i drink every weekend because i feel refreshed after a heavy week of work..  After i drink i take a lot of food and have a nice sleep....I do not have any kind of headache or anything after drinking but will it affect me in the future.... My dad almost drinks everyday right from his childhood may b at the age of 18 but my dad is healthy and strong even after drinking so many years... Thanks to god for that....... Any way,  When it comes to your health, is it better to drink or not to drink?
Drinking alcoholic is not good physically to our health,  due to it is not natural wine which it can affect our physical body.
because once it become  a vices it will be a cause  to damage our liver, kidney and others so better not to drink it as a hobby even for an occasion only,..

You will earn more money and be more respected if you don't do that. And there is even worse things, that come with drinking. Relaxation is in everything only temporary, except if you know of better things, like meditation perhaps?
You nailed it bro Cheesy . I agree with you totally. There are more bad things that comes with alcohol than good things, and as you said relaxation that alcohol provide is only temporary. I do meditation almost everyday, and it helped me a lot. Made me a lot calmer and more focused on things, would recommend to all. Cheesy

This is the most no brainer question there is, obviously alcohol is bad for your health. People don't drink because its healthy they drink because it tastes nice and/or makes them feel good.

To be honest I really do not know what the benefits are on alcohol for health. During this time I know alcohol is not a good thing to be consumed by humans in any form. Whether it's a drink or a mixture on food. And also I do not become an alcohol drinker because my religion forbids it. I believe why alcohol is forbidden. Because alcohol can be intoxicating, it is forbidden already a lot of drunk, especially if not forbidden.

Alcohol might be a great source of damaging your cell, it leads to high circulation of blood that would be a cause of getting a heart attack.not only that but also it can damage your money. Addiction of alcohol may destroy your family life as well as social identity.
Ultimately it leads to the death.

Yes, there is nothing good about it, they are willing to do anything to buy alcohol, even they spend all the money to buy alcohol, I know that because I often see people who drink alcohol, very uncontrollable, even melakaukan other crimes such as Steal and Even kill. It's because of the influence of alcohol, I'm sure, if they do not drink alcohol and under normal circumstances, they do not want to steal or kill, they'll just get regret, I make sure you'll be crushed if it continues To drink alcohol ...
You are right alcohol has damaging consequences not only to ones health but society as well. Alcohol abuse can lead to ones death and deprive us of the skilled labour that would have been used to develop our countries and it makes one financially indiscipline which in many cases leads to debt and broken families.

Obviously, drinking alcohol without moderation is bad for your health. It may be fine if you drink occasionally but it will be better if you do not drink. Maybe today your feeling strong and healthy, because your mind tells you so, but there will come a time you'll suffer the consequences of drinking alcohol. I just want to ask you if how old is your dad right now? Because people normally feel the effects of it during their 60s. I based this opinion from observing my neighborhood and my relative.

Actually the taste is not nice. It is just bitter. I'm not a fan of alcoholic beverages that's I don't to the people that loves drinking it. The only effect that it gives to human are to destroy the liver and that's all. The only thing that I love alcohol is it helps me when my depression strikes.

And I'm still not able to control yourself. Every time after drinking I experience terrible consequences of alcohol consumption, I promise myself that I will never drink and next time my story is repeated. Luckily it happens not so often.

That depends on the physique and mental strength. Some people lose their consciousness after only a few glasses of alcohol, while some others can gulp bottles at a time. If you are of the former type, then it will be better to stay away from alcohol.
Some countries are already considered dependent on alcohol for statistics. As always, the countries of the post-Soviet space are leading. It's unclear what is the National trait such But this is how the nation degenerates.
Maybe you are right when you say that drinking too much of alcohol can bring some kind of degeneration to people. But there are other things that are even more stronger than alcohol in that case. But that is not the topic, so ill go back to alcohol. Alcohol by my opinion is bad thing, i drink it too, but what i want to say is that alcohol has been in peoples life for so long and it will live even more. There will always be alcohol and those people who drink too much, but that wont have too much of influence in future of human race.

All it depends on the type of the diet you are taking. As you talk about your dad he is healthy may be due to his healthy diet and lifestyle. As consuming in a weekend is not bad for your health but if you are taking in excessive amount then it will be harmful for youe health.

You are right about the stats. Check this:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_alcohol_consumption_per_capita

For some people, alcohol is the only refuge from all the tensions and sadness. However, I am surprised with Belarus and Lithuania being ranked #2 and #3 respectively. The living conditions in these countries are not that intolerable.

Well everyone's mentioned the bad sides of alcohol, however there is some research as well that suggests moderate intake (1 glass of wine, 1 beer) with dinner is healthy. Additionally the occasional binge is fun and does little long term harm (if you can control yourself).
