I agree with your mind because there are those who want to hide the money, which is why they make various promises. There are projects that refuse to issue tokens to hunters. Even swap system is very bad for a old investors who don't know when swap complete. That's why many old investor loss there money.
The social media has many advantage, mostly in coin swapped, the team announced it ahead, which people that follows the social media channel has a better chance to swapped or follow the update, by listen coin in difference exchange mentioned in social media channel and is very good to follow up.
Token and smartcontract must have done easily and i think it should always be opened to make sure the whole investors or hunters can get the new tokens. It's a shady thing for the developer to close it when there are some people still not aware about that.
KYC must have been mentioned when the campaign was started and the hunters can understand the risk to participate in the campaign.
The bounty payout is depend on the team and something there will always be a change in this rule.

About the token smart contract I've seen some people who walked away from the token or coins they keep in their portfolio, they keep no track at all, a token swap that takes place 5 months ago can't be recover, it's not devs fault when such happens, investors need to constantly track their portfolio to avoid missing any information
