I always find many bounty hunters who always ask in the bounty group about something that has actually been explained and sometimes this information has also been pinned in the group. The problem is that it is quite difficult to monitor all sources of information in the modern world. In addition crypto news sites you have the usual news + info spam + terabytes of advertising + the God knows what else (+communication on Reddit, Twitter, btt).

The challenge of following such social media is that some project can be very slow up to a year before getting serious Ir get anything done. And many participants can lose hope maybe thinking it is scam, they can move on. If projects can be straight to what they are promising, many won't miss out.
Yes. Social media is a part of our life in allmost every case. In crypto the rule is almost same. If a coin is want to grow a big community it has to be active on their social media channels. Obviously, because it is included in the demands of the times that every project must use social media channels to make it easier to reach everyone around the world, because for now everyone always uses social media for their various interests personally. 
I too would say I was guilty of not constantly checking the social media outlets of the campaigns, and the projects. I have my own reasons and one is that I do not see a need to check their twitter or facebook or instagram accounts. Why would I do that? There is the bounty page, the website, the telegram announcements (I don't regard telegram as social media, but merely an extention of the project, as a chatroom), there are many ways to check the bounties and the projects, and I do not miss deadlines or updates. Many of us, surely do not miss any announcement and in my own opinion I think the issue sometimes is merely human in nature.

Token and smartcontract must have done easily and i think it should always be opened to make sure the whole investors or hunters can get the new tokens. It's a shady thing for the developer to close it when there are some people still not aware about that.
KYC must have been mentioned when the campaign was started and the hunters can understand the risk to participate in the campaign.
The bounty payout is depend on the team and something there will always be a change in this rule.

You said KYC must have been mentioned?? Are you new on here? Many bounties end up changing their rules once bounty campaign is over, same thing happened with ARCC bounty this year, I failed to follow their telegram, not knowing they've tell hunters to fill KYC form and which of course has limited time, I missed out big time on this and the token has huge valueKYC must have been mentioned when the campaign was started and the hunters can understand the risk to participate in the campaign.

That's why telegram is very important specially for investors and bounty hunters to become updated and aware about the information released by the project team and the bounty manager. That is the social media that you should follow if you are working in crypto space either hunter or investors, so that you will not be late in the information you need to know.
Not only when you are already investor, bounty hunter or just owner of the token, but before you buy you should properly check their social media channels how the team behaves, how active is, and how they value its community because that is one of the most important things in crypto. 
This is probably one of the biggest post-ICO token problems. The team decided to swap token into a mainnet coin, or just updating the smart-contract and they only leave a short time for users to react and many users lost their money and potential of high return.
